  1. with the new functionality of adding start end times and notes, we are not able to print or download this data in any reporting. the only way we can SEE this info is in the individual timesheet by person.
    If you can update the report to include all information that would be useful as the current process is only half done.

  2. Have the ability to set the relevant Award Rates and applicable grade so the pay rates gets automatically updated each year when the award rate changes, rather than having to manually make the changes.

  3. When adding a new employee's super fund, being able to add the fund by entering the USI number.

    If that can't be done, at least show the USI next to the super fund name so we can make sure we are selecting the correct super fund.

    Currently to make sure I am selecting the correct super fund in Xero when adding a new employee, to confirm the USI I need to go to my organisation, settings, payroll settings, superannuation and then, because I can't sort alphabetically or search for a fund name or USI, I basically have to add a…

  4. It would be helpful to have a "Skip" timesheet option for part-time staff to indicate that it's a non-work day (rather than assuming they've just forgotten to complete their timesheet). E.g. a checkbox above each day on the weekly timesheet that if checked would grey-out the relevant day. Rough example attached.

  6. It would be great if we could pay our employees similar to how we can process a batch payment in XERO for bills. At the moment I am having to go into the bank account at the end and pay each employee individually.

    Is there another way to do this ? I may be missing something.

  7. I want to track certain yearly expenses. I wish to put a limit to the expenses. When they reach the limit,I wish Xero can alert me. Eg Setting a limit on staff benefit per employee as $1,000. Once $1,000 is reached, a message can be sent to me.

  8. Gross to Net report - include an function/option where it is possible to only run it for current employees without having to manually select each person.
    We typically run it each calendar month and while we are still a smallish team there is a risk that someone will be excluded/included that should not be when manually selecting the names and will not be sustainable as our business grows.

  9. Xero feature to add pay items by default to payslips even after timesheets are approved.

    The issue we face now is that once a timesheet has been approved , if we go back into the payslip, those defaults item disappears and we need to manually pick those from the drop down list.

    It would be great to have that feature where earnings rate items are saved even after the timesheets are approved.This will also save us time in choosing, extra pay items such as commission, vehicle claims, bonus etc. from the list.

  10. Please add unit and rate columns in this report.

    I know the second option is Payroll Activity Details report. However, when I download this report in excel, the Pay item type is under the employee column i.e not separated.

  11. It would be beneficial for an employee to record all hours worked in the timesheet including hours to be allocated as TOIL Accrual
    i.e. employee works 35 hours, 30 hours ordinary and 5 hours to TOIL accrual?
    Then when the employees wishes to take the TOIL, they submit a Leave Request as per existing functionality.

    Currently the employee needs to separately notify payroll regarding hours worked to be allocated to TOIL Accrual. And this doesn't go through the Supervisor Timesheet Approval process.

  12. Client has just realised that they hadn't entered an IRD number into Xero Payroll details for one of their contractors on withholding tax. Xero Payroll allowed the submission of payday filing to go through without error or notifying the client of the missing information.

    6 months later, client is contacted by contractor to say IRD don't have any record of withholding income or tax withheld on behalf even though the details were submitted and tax paid on to IRD. Without the IRD number, IRD was unable to allocate it to the contractor's income records.

Now with STP2, we need to disaggregate backpay across the various ATO Payroll categories but it is not possible to setup a backpay category for any leave categories, please create default categories or allow allocation to the ATO leave categories in pay items. Without it, it is impractical to be STP2 compliant.

  16. We have multiple sites within our payroll company. Each site is in a different physical location. We have set each location up as a "Group" Each employee is set to a group. This way, we can sort and report on each location within our payroll entity.
    However, we need the payslip to show the address of the location, rather than the address which is showing in the organisation settings. I understand that we can set up a different physical address, but is it possible to have a separate address for each group or location within this organisation?

  18. When adding new Pay Items in Australia, Reportable as W1 should be ticked as a ticked as the default as the vast majority of Pay Items in Australia are Reportable under W1.

    Every time the award changes and we import pay items from Deputy, the new items have Reportable as W1 turned off and we have to manually change them.

    Changing the Xero default may or may not fix that problem but it should be the default nonetheless.

  19. Small businesses are now much more global and have employees in multiple countries. Therefore payroll should also accomodate for multi currencies, otherwise several different payroll sytems need to be used. DEEL is available in multi currency so it would be logical that Xero Payroll is also
