AU Payroll: Automatically add approved expense claims to pay runs
Currently to reimburse employees for expenses you have to add them manually to each pay run for each employee, it would make sense for expenses that have been added using the expenses function to auto add to payroll each month to reduce work and to allow staff to be reimbursed quicker. this would also make the expenses function more worthwhile for the cost.
This would reduce stress for staff putting on employees as expenses that have been approved will automatically be added and marked as paid.

Xero Expenses - Ability to overwrite VAT amount
When uploading a 20% vat rate expense via the Xero Expense App please allow for the VAT box to be overwritten if required. This is an issue when the Xero rounding is different to that on the receipt, usually by 1p.
Thanks

Expenses - Create Expense Claims from bank reconciliation screen
When using debit cards, we get transactions posted into the bank account before a card holder completes their expense claim. Or forgets to!
From the bank account reconciliation screen, I would like to be able to send a transaction into expenses for the card holder to complete then expense claim process. The transaction should appear in their draft expenses.2 votes -
Fixed Assets - Enable account codes to be edited / updated
Currently, apart from rolling back depreciation prior to the first asset being allocated to an Asset Type, it isn't possible to update the accounts code without a lot of hassle.
For example, a general depreciation code may have been assigned to an Asset Type. If you would like to update this to a specific code, e.g. "Depreciation - Plant & Equipment", it is a difficult process with the potential for unintended changes to prior years.
As a result, a common workaround is having to do a journal to reallocate the depreciation amount for each period. However, if you could simply just edit the existing account code to apply for future depreciation postings, the issue would be fixed very simply resolved, and save any need for ongoing journals etc.

AU Timesheets - Record clock in/out time through shared device
So at present - as mentioned below it doesn't really make any sense to be logging hours for the day in the morning when staff arrives as every day could be different.
I'd really like a central point that staff can log in through - as opposed to using personal phone. it needs to be a clock in and clock out system with automatic break deduction. At the moment we use the Timestation app that the guys clock in and out with a QR code card then i have to run a report each week to manually input into timesheets... it can't be that hard to create something this simple?

Xero central | My cases - Ability to search previous cases
Being able to search prior support cases via a 'search' function would be very time saving. The process of scrolling through prior cases is very time consuming.
Searching only by Open/Closed cases isn't overly useful.

Bills - Remove the 'Skip' or 'Allocate Credit' prompts
Remove the 'Skip' or 'Allocate Credit' pop up box when entering invoices.
When entering a number of invoices, if the customer who you are entering an invoice for has a credit on their account, a box appears asking to 'allocate the credit' or 'skip.' By clicking either it takes you back to the enter invoice screen without the option of adding another invoice. This makes it quite time consuming when entering a number of invoices. Is there a way from stopping the 'allocate credit' or 'skip' boxes appearing?

leave tracking report for requests that have not been completed, it could fall in previous payroll periods or current or future. This could offer more functionalities for payroll officer to track leaves in a larger payroll.

Email to bills - Auto exclude 'extra' attachments like social tiles & email signature
Bills - Ability to remove extra attachments exported from emails.
when forward invoices and delivery docs to Xero, the email signature (which includes the company logo) is also captured and exported to Xero Bill as a separate attachment.
While this doe does not impact payments, it's still frustrating. There should be a way to prevent logos or email template elements from being exported.6 votes -

Manual Journal - Copy line above
Manual Journal - Copy details from line above- this is a tool in Sage so please could you consider it? :) it's a nifty action & allows a one click solution to repeat account & tracking categories and is especially useful for large entries such as payroll journals.

For now, if you have large journals you need to enter you may want to explore importing journals.

Bank reconciliation - summary of multiple accounts
I would like to see a report that listed all the bank accounts, their balance at the report date and the date of the last imported bank statement line. For a company with more than a handful of accounts it would make it much easier to see which accounts needed to be brought up to date for accounts prep.

Filter/Search in Cash coding screen.
Please create the ability to filter or search for names or words in the cash coding screen. When you have a big catch up client with 2000 entries this would save so much time.

Contacts Overview - Overpayments and 'Pay bill in full option'
Stop messing around with things that people haven't asked for and actually look at implementing things that have been asked for.
The new look for customer and sales ledgers is awful. Why change it?
When it comes to being easy to reconcile supplier ledgers Xero is already miles behind it's competitors but you've somehow managed to make it even worse!
For example if there is an overpayment that you part allocate against a bill and then refresh the screen it shows that the bill is paid but the overpayment still shows that the full amount is to be used, it hasn't reduced by the amount allocated against the bill.
Please change it back and put your focus into implementing things that your clients have actually told you that they want!
Rather than messing around with the look why not implement something useful. For example when allocating an overpayment and the list of unpaid invoices is shown why isn't there an option to select a bill and "pay bill in full" rather than having to type the amount in every box?Stop messing around with things that people haven't asked for and actually look at implementing things that have been asked for.

Reports - New Aged Payables Report V's Previous Report filtering options by due date
Previously in the old format Aged Payable Summary and Detail reports you could run the report at the end of the month and change the Ageing by option to be by Due date and the report would then exclude any invoices with a due date later than the month end it was being run by. However when doing the same in the new format report this does not work and the Current column shows invoices for the month as being due even if they have a due date of later than the month end date being selected i.e. the report run with the same parameters in both the old and new formats gives different answers when it shouldn't. Please investigate and fix this so the reports give the same results.
