  1. It would be extremely helpful to be able to assign a range of default settings to either individual contacts, or to contact groups, such as:
    - invoice template
    - billing cycle (((would also be great to get variable billing cycles as a feature!))
    - currency

    we have a fair amount of customer hierarchy, which we've been able to somewhat address with contact groups.. but the fundamental lack of configurable options after the group is designated feels hugely wasted.

    To enable review of all rules in place rather than having to select each one individually. This will enable duplications to be removed, rules not working to be fixed etc etc

  3. Listing Time Entries in Chronological Order in Invoicing for Projects.

    As raised in support case CX0012531595 - I use projects to create invoices for clients and show time entries for all tasks - the problem is that the draft invoice seems to put all the entries in random order rather than a date order - there is no way to sort by date so that it reads chronologically for the client.   4. When creating a bill from a purchase order, it does not bring over the purchase order date. The date automatically changes to the date you are processing.
    Is there anyway you could keep the date.

  5. The email feed on clients account activity needs reinstating. If people send a quote mid communication via email rather than on xero or someone emails in a query about an invoice this is now getting lost rather than recorded on their account!

    PLEASE REINSTATE this was essential for credit control and communication between team members regarding clients!

    Hi there 👋, as you may have received communication of - we made the decision to retire our integration with Mailchimp, MS Outlook, Google Contacts and Hubspot from 10 Sept this year. We know the integration wasn't delivering the experience our customers expected, and retiring meant we could sharpen our focus on integrations that'll provide more value. We don't have any plans for bringing this back.

    If you’d like to continue using an app integration, we recommend you visit the Xero App Store to determine whether apps like Zapier or Make would be a good alternative for your needs, or alternatively visit Xero Developer to find out more about building a custom integration with Xero.

  6. When importing invoices and bills, to have the option to import using the Account Number where specified, instead of the Contact Name to avoid the issue of creating duplicate contact records where the name does not match exactly in Xero.

  10. The option to show bills/expense in a Report on a Cash Basis. So show paid bills only not all bills,
    as per the Detailed Transaction Report if Xero. We need this option to show current expenses per project. The Detailed Transaction Report only shows this if you assign a Project through Tracking.

  11. I would like a feature added so that we can add a billable expense to an Invoice even though a payment has been made by customer. It is crazy that you have to delete a deposit from a client so that you can then add a billable expense to the invoice for tracking. Customers pay a deposit then goods are ordered for their job.

  12. Invoice numbers to be sorted in sequential order so when you get past 9999 the invoices going to 10000 upwards don't then end up at the bottom of the list and out of order.

  13. Currently there is very limited information on the contacts main page. All it has is the name and if they owe or we owe. It would be so useful to see if they are allocated to a Contact Group and what date they were added, and perhaps the last transaction (so we can quickly bulk archive contacts that have not been used for a while). This would make contact management so much easier, as currently we need to click into each contact one-by-one which is just not feasalbe, therefore resulting in a contact system which is very unorganised.

  14. Hi, I'm wondering if there is a method to generate a customer statement balance report with multiple currencies (including a contact filter) and export it in Excel spreadsheet.

    I've attempted a few approaches previously:
    Using the path: 1) Business->Invoice -> Send statements. However, this only displays the source currency and doesn't offer an Excel export option.

    2) Accounting -> Report -> Account transactions
    While this displays transactions in multiple currencies, it doesn't provide the option to show the balance brought forward from the previous month.

  15. We need to give a user the 'Invoice only (sales)' permissions but do not want them to view invoices created by other users or ANY sales figures such as 'total awaiting payment' or 'total overdue'.

    It would be incredibly useful to have tick box options for main permissions when setting up a new Invoice Only user. These permissions should include:
    - View sales totals
    - Approve invoices
    - View invoices created by other users
    - View Invoices awaiting payment tab

  16. P11 PAYE & P11 NIC annual reports, need to have an option to export as Excel, instead of auto downloading as a webpage.
    My auditor requested these in Excel format and there was not an option for this, it would make it much easier if these type of reports could have download options, so you could export to excel.
    This will also allow usage for tracking and internal auditing.
    Yes, you could copy all and paste into excel, but this isn't always reliable as sometimes it will paste it all in to one cell, (which is a pain to fix)…

    Hey Sam, thanks for sharing this idea.

    As you’ve found, it’s not possible to export the P11 reports in excel format. Totally understand that copying and pasting details from the .html file is a time-consuming process!

    Just curious if there’s specific information required in the P11 reports that’s unavailable in our other reports?

    You can find much of the same information in the ‘Gross to Net’ and ‘Payroll Activity Detail / Summary’ reports, and they do support saving as an excel file.

  17. It would be great if we could send a remittance on a bill that has been part paid. This means suppliers can reconcile the payment in the same way we have in their own accounts

  18. When reviewing a VAT return on the transactions by tax rate tab - there is no way to view the detail if the payment was through an invoice or bill even though you are able to see the detail if it is entered as a spend money or receive money transaction.

    Being able to create bills and add attachments is extremely convenient, however, it is not when you are unable to see the detail you have provided when reviewing the VAT return.

  19. The Net functional (for us GBP) column in the Account Transaction Report does not function correctly if we are considering the full GL.
    Whether it shows a Debit or Credit as plus or minus depends on the type of account.
    For example, an accrual Jnl posts Debit Expense/Credit Liabilities but both show as Positive in the Net column.

    We run the full GL to conduct our analysis and we re-calculate this column every time.
    Then we can confirm that the list balances as the total of the double-entries should be nil.

  20. We need to be able to export SAFF (ATO super compliant files) to Superannuation clearing houses. I am unable to upload a file as Xero is not SAFF compliant.
