Stripe - Add multiple stripe connections
We have multiple stripe accounts that we need to connect. It would be great to be able to add more than one strip payment processor that connects to two separate stripe IDs.

Invoice Import Notice - Notify of new contacts created on Import
Our practice makes use of Xero's ability to import invoices to do monthly utility billing and have found Xero's feedback notice / confirm import page to be VERY useful.
On this page Xero notifies us if
- any invoices will not be imported due to errors
- invoice number already exists
- any item descriptions and/or prices differ from the Xero org's listed products and servicesUnfortunately, it does not notify the user if any new contacts will be created on confirmation, as imported invoices automatically create a new contact if a matching one does not exist.
This sometimes happens unintentionally when a typo exists in the import, or when a contact has been renamed by another user and our importer has not been made aware of the change.

.eml and .msg File Attachments - Preview window compatibility, like existing PDF preview
Please consider adding compatibility to preview .eml files (and .msg files if possible) that are attached to invoices (and other documents) in Xero, similar to the pdf preview window.
Emails are text/HTML so this seems achievable.
This would save time needing to download correspondences to view them, which are useful attachments in Xero for audit purposes.

Adding a row in invoicing
When needing to add a row on invoicing you need to go all the way down to the bottom.
It would be good to be able to add a row at any point of the invoice not just at the bottom, especially when you have a big invoice with multiple line items, and you need to add something toward the top of the invoice, you have to go down to the bottom and then drag the line all the way up to where it needs to be.1 voteHi 👋 your idea is being looked into by our Community team. display history notes in reports
I would love to be able to see the notes that I make on an overdue clients invoice in the Aged Receivable report. At the moment I am needing to update a excel spreadsheet for this information on a daily basis. It would be easier to add the note to the invoice and then pull the report if the invoice is still outstanding.

AU Payroll - Ability to edit timesheet tracking after a pay run is processed
At the moment, if an employee allocates their hours to the wrong cost centre (i.e. the incorrect Xero tracking category) and the payroll has already been posted, there’s no way to correct the allocation — even if the pay run hasn’t yet been submitted to the ATO.
This becomes problematic for organisations like ours that rely on accurate tracking of labour costs by project or cost centre. In most cases, the number of hours worked remains correct — it’s just the cost centre allocation that needs fixing.
Would it be possible to introduce a feature that allows tracking categories to be edited after payroll is posted but before it’s submitted to the ATO? This would ensure better cost reporting without affecting the integrity of the pay run or submitted data.

Our Community have reviewed your idea to allow tracking categories to be edited after a payrun has been posted. This has now moved to the Gaining Support status.

UK Payroll - Journal summary
I would like to be able to firstly differentiate my payroll journals from other journals and then produce an end of year report of the payroll journals.
How you could facilitate this:

draft invoice
Instead of using the next invoice number in sequence, I would like to see a "Draft Invoice" placeholder. This will help to make sure the sequence remains intact when we have drafts that end up being deleted. Right now we have gaps being created in the Invoice Number sequence when Drafts are deleted. So instead of assigning an invoice number, can we set it as a "Draft-###" and only assign the number when it is approved? Part of the issue is due to the Integration with our Proposal Software creating an automatic Draft Invoice, but we need to commonly make changes before sending - and sometimes other invoices have already been processed, and so there is a timeline gap being created that raises questions in an accounting review of Invoice Sequence vs Dating Sequence transactions.

Spend money reference duplicate check
It would be useful if Xero ran a check on spend/receive money transaction references in the same way it does when entering bills and credit notes to warn you and therefore prevent duplicates. I have entered bills as spend money transactions directly on my bank feed without realising I have previously entered them as a bill.

Add Xero to the list of "What tool are you currently using to run your business"
When creating a new organisation, there isn't an option to choose Xero from the dropdown list of "What tool are you currently using to run your business". I'm migrating from one org to another because of limitations in your PAYE scheme functionality. Right now, a user can't select Xero from the list, which may help you shed light on users who are either running into org challenges or who are power users of your tools.

find and recode projects
The Find and Recode appears not to include Projects so where one wants to set the Project name in the invoice or bill field based on, say, the Tracking category (This is what we need to do) there is no option other than to go through every invoice and bill and set it manually.

History and Notes report - Contact details
It would be really useful to see the contact name on the History and Notes report.
We use this report to track bank account changes but we also check newly added supplier bank account details. Seeing which contact each line relates to would help us group them and know if an 'Edited - Bank.....' relates to the same contact as a 'Created' so we don't need to go into each line7 votes -

NZ Payroll - Notification when an employee is added or removed
Can we please have an automatic email notification to the subscriber when a organisation adds or removes an employee - This would be required for the purposes of updating billing when the ability to add additional employees for $4 takes place in September 2025.

Login - Ability to set a Password Expiry

In relation to XERO security, I suggest all users should have a password expiry functionality where after a period (eg 6 months) it prompts all users to change their password.

NZ GST - Move 'File with IR' button to top of page
Moving the button to File with IR from the bottom to top of screen, to make it more obvious.

With careful design and research around the placement of action buttons, there are no planned changes for moving the the 'File with IR' button.
However, we'd still like to get a sense of the interest from community in this, here.

NZ GST - Export customised return
Ability to export the GST return with the layout as customised on the screen. For example if columns have been hidden these are not shown in the exported file.

While we don't have immediate plans, we will keep an eye on this here and share if there are any updates.
