Sales - Ability to 'add payment' to multiple invoices at once
This would be a really helpful time saver. When our clients make payments, sometimes one payment can be for 20 odd invoices. Rather than having to find each individual invoice to add the payment (which involves these steps: click on invoices awaiting payment > search for customer > click on last page > click on invoice > add payment > then repeat all steps 20 times); there are tick boxes next to the invoices, with the options to 'print', 'email', 'copy to'... could an option be added to the tick box, to 'add a payment'? Therefore the steps would be reduced dramatically to: search for customer > click on last page > tick 20 invoice boxes > add payment > task complete.

4 votesHi Emily, it sounds like you could use batch deposit here. This is available from the Awaiting payments list like you noted and will allow you to to record multiple invoices as paid in a single transaction.
It can be useful if you’re banking one deposit for multiple invoices, or when a customer makes a single payment for multiple invoices. 😊
Does this solve what you're after?

AU Payroll - Pay Contractors in payroll and include GST
Hi,
It would be great to be able to pay contractors (who are paid Super) in Payroll and have an option for GST. I feel the Contractor payments aren't user friendly for most small business as they have subcontractors and contractors where only GST is added and no PAYG tax is deducted.9 votes -
Invoice - Send void invoice email
A feature that allows an email to be sent for a voided invoice to the client so they have confirmation the invoice is voided as verification.
This can be as simple as taking the invoice template / previously generated pdf and branding "VOIDED" or "CANCELLED" on top of it.2 votes -
UK Payroll - Download links for Payroll reports
Once Payroll is posted we require the relevant reports (journal and activity), I feel a download link (alike the one for payslips) would be beneficial rather than having to view reports and then having to export download for printing or saving purposes, this would save users time.

Bank Reconciliation - Allow the Tax Setting to Default to Tax Exclusive
When creating new 'spend money' transactions during bank reconciliation, allow the tax setting to match the tax setting in financial settings, if set to tax exclusive, so that it doesn't just default to tax inclusive.

AU Payroll - Recurring leave request
We have 2 employees that will be taking 1 day LSL every week in the new financial year and it would be very helpful if there was a way to add in this type of leave request as a recurring request for the same day each week. Rather than having to add in 1 day leave for each occasion.

Bills - Option to unapprove
Bills: unapprove option
Have the option to unapprove a bill so it can revert back to draft/awaiting approval rather than having to void a bill and re-enter it.
618 votesHi team, thanks for staying engaged with us here. From your feedback our product teams clearly understand there are legitimate use cases and scenarios in which you’d like to be able to simply unapprove a bill.
While seemingly simple there is a bit of underlying work that needs to be done within Bills to enable us to build this functionality - As you’ll have experienced within the Bills list view - we’re in the process of uplifting the pages in Bills with updated technology that’ll unlock our ability to develop features like unapprove.
So, while it’s not in our roadmap atm, we’re tuned in here and will continue to assess how we may solve this as we plan our future roadmap. I’ll make sure to share any progress with everyone here.

AU Payroll - Add Public Holidays (and all other forms of leave) to the Leave Transactions report
Add Public Holidays (and all other forms of leave) to the Leave Transactions report not just Annual Leave and Personal Leave.
Why this isn't already the default behaviour astounds me!

Bank Reconciliation - Status terms need to be changed
After a transaction is matched with the online download status should be matched or cleared. Once the reconciliation report is completed the status should change to reconciled. A transactions status should not be deemed reconciled until account is actually Reconciled with the bank statement.

Invoicing - Option to copy different parts of invoice when select option to send to self
Copying part of a sent invoice perhaps just invoice number and amount to my e-mail would avoid a problem I had.
My e-mails were hacked and a monthly rent invoice I had sent was copied the next month with amended bank details.
I no longer send copies to my e-mail although now I have to concentrate more so I know which ones I have sent.
This type of fraud has happened to someone else I know - we are more careful with our e-mail security now.3 votesI'm sorry to hear that your email was hacked, Joanne. As you may have seen in other ideas on the site we are working to develop the History & Notes so you'll soon be able to see detail of the email an invoice has been sent too. Doesn't ideally solve for what you're asking here, so we'll continue to track this separately and update if there's any news of having more control of what you can send with the send to self option.

Bank Reconciliation - Add calculations into split section of Cash Coding
The Reconcile section split allows you to add, subtract, multiply and divide in the amount cell. The Cash Coding split section does not. I would like the Cash Coding split section to allow for the calculations so that you don't have to hop back and forth between Reconcile and Cash Coding in order to get all of the transactions in. This would save a lot of time for manual entry items.

Payment Services - Add Alipay as a payment service
Proposal: Integrating Alipay as a Payment Option in Xero
Overview
Introducing Alipay as a payment option for Xero invoices will provide significant benefits for businesses engaging with international markets, particularly China. As China is Australia’s largest trading partner, offering a seamless payment method like Alipay will enhance cash flow, improve payment experiences, and reduce barriers for Chinese customers to pay invoices.Key Reasons to Integrate Alipay:
China is Australia’s Largest Trading Partner
China accounts for a significant share of Australia’s exports and imports. For businesses that trade with Chinese companies or customers, Alipay is often the preferred or only method of payment.
Providing Alipay as an option makes it easier for Chinese partners to pay invoices promptly, avoiding delays caused by incompatible payment systems.
Alipay’s Market Dominance
Alipay is one of the most widely used payment platforms in China, with over 1.3 billion users worldwide.
It dominates the digital payment landscape, with Chinese businesses and individuals heavily reliant on it for transactions.
By integrating Alipay, Xero will enable businesses to cater directly to this massive user base.
Seamless Cross-Border Transactions
Traditional international bank transfers are often slow, expensive, and prone to errors, especially when dealing with currency conversions.
Alipay simplifies the process by allowing instant, secure payments while managing the exchange rate in real-time.
This will accelerate cash flow for businesses and reduce administrative overheads related to tracking international payments.
Increased Competitiveness for Xero
Competitors offering invoicing software may already be looking to integrate popular international payment methods.
Adding Alipay will enhance Xero’s value proposition for businesses that trade with Chinese partners, making it a preferred choice for international companies.
Facilitating Growth for Australian Businesses
Australian exporters, particularly in sectors like agriculture, education, gas, manufacturing, and tourism, rely heavily on Chinese customers.
Allowing payments via Alipay will make it simpler for these businesses to collect revenue, helping them focus on growth and strengthening trade relationships.
Improving Customer Experience
For Chinese businesses and individuals, paying via Alipay is familiar, trusted, and easy. This reduces friction and encourages prompt payments.
Businesses will experience fewer payment disputes or abandoned invoices when their customers can use their preferred method of payment.
Strengthening Xero’s Presence in Asia-Pacific
By supporting Alipay, Xero can bolster its presence in the Asia-Pacific region, particularly among small-to-medium enterprises looking to trade with China.
This strategic move aligns with Xero’s goal to expand its reach and customer base globally.
Increased Adoption of Digital Payments
Alipay supports the global trend of moving towards cashless and digital payments.
Adding this payment option complements Xero’s existing tools for managing invoices, automating payments, and streamlining financial operations.
Implementation Benefits:
Reduced Payment Delays: Faster and more reliable transactions.
Improved Cash Flow: Businesses can access funds quickly and reduce waiting times.
Simplified Processes: Streamlined currency conversion and automated payment reconciliations.
Enhanced Customer Satisfaction: A payment method tailored to key trading partners.
Conclusion
Integrating Alipay into Xero’s platform will significantly enhance Xero’s appeal to businesses operating with Chinese customers and partners. This move will not only simplify the payment process but also improve cash flow, customer satisfaction, and Xero’s competitive position in the market. By acknowledging the needs of businesses in an increasingly global economy, Xero can continue to be a leader in innovative financial solutions.Proposal: Integrating Alipay as a Payment Option in Xero

Reporting - Sankey Diagrams
I would like to suggest adding the capability to generate Sankey diagrams within Xero. Sankey diagrams are highly effective in visualizing the flow of resources, such as money, energy, or data, through different stages or categories. They could be used to illustrate cash flow, revenue distribution, and expense breakdowns in a more intuitive and engaging way.
By adding Sankey diagrams, Xero could offer users a more dynamic and insightful view of their financial data, helping them better understand how money moves through their business, leading to improved decision-making and reporting.
6 votesInteresting idea and good to hear the different visualisations that'd help our customers understand their business, Paul. This isn't something we have immediate plans for but will be good to get a understanding of the interest from the community here.

UK Payroll - Salary Sacrifice segregation on Gross to Net report
Currently the Salary Sacrifice is just deducted on the Gross to Net report. Where as on the TB the amount is added. It would be good if this could be segregated.
