Stripe - Collect payment in Xero
Is there any plan to add an option for collecting payments through Stripe directly within Xero? Often, when I call customers for payment, I am in Xero looking at the invoice, and the customer wants to provide a credit card for payment. Currently, I have to log in to Stripe to process the payment. It would be much easier and more efficient if I could charge the client directly from the invoice itself, don’t you think?

Quotes - Add delivery address to quote
Thank you for adding the ability to show both invoicing and delivery addresses on an invoice.
Please may you add the same functionality to the quotes? And as a follow on, if this option is selected at the quote stage, continue this onto the invoice as well when it is created.

AU Payroll - Show Reimbursement total in pay run overview
When you view a payrun, the breakdown at the top shows: Earnings, Taxes, Superannuation, Net Pay, Status & Payment Date.
When you view the details for any of the employees there is an additional field for Reimbursements at the top of the screen.
It would be great if the reimbursements total was also shown on the pay runs summary screen to quickly review and identify the total.
Especially when the clients run their own payroll and we are just reconciling.4 votes -
Invoice list - Show invoice number in message when invoice has been saved
When a sales invoice is created, when you get the message Invoice saved, please also displau the new invoice number, so that is doesn't need to be looked up.

Invoices - Apply Autopay to multiple invoices at once
Allow autopay to be applied to a group of recurring invoices, rather than having to enable it on individual invoices. This would be useful for turning Autopay on for a number of invoices for the same customer or turning it on for a number of invoices for different customers.

New invoicing | Copy to - Don't copy Reference Number
When copying an existing invoice to a new invoice, the reference should not be copied over as well or the user to be given the option to not copy the reference number to the new invoice.
There are many times, reference number is not updated or removed and then needs to be fixed at a later point.

AU Payroll - Fixed amount leave requests for employs on an accrued leave balance
Currently, for monthly employees, Xero does not take into consideration the fact that they have been set up to be paid the same amount each month, therefore the days in the month are meaningless from a pay perspective. Unfortunately, this means that the basis leave accrues on to work out how many hours a public holiday/personal/annual leave day should be when leave is entered is also meaningless. Instead of defaulting to 7.6 (or 8) hours/day leave taken, it does a calculation based on the number of working days in a month. So if someone is being paid on the basis of a 7.6 hour day & leave is also accruing on that basis, but they then take leave in a month that has 22 days, the default for the day's leave will be 7.27 hours.
Obviously, this can be overridden, but when someone doesn't know that this needs to be done, the leave taken is nonsense.

NZ Payroll - Report for current leave plus leave available to take in advance
A report that shows current annual leave hours, plus leave available to take in advance hours for each employee. It's very time consuming to have to calculate leave if you want to give an employee leave in advance. Using the "show leave available to take in advance" option in the employee set up tends to give the wrong balances on the employee payslip which leads to confusion.

Reporting - Consistent terminology (e.g. Accounts Payable reports refer to Bills as Invoices)
There's an inconsistency between different parts Xero systems. For example:
New Invoicing has Autosave.
New Contacts require us to use the Save button.Reports:
Accounts receivable reports refer to Invoices.
Accounts Payable reports ALSO refer to Invoices ... Xero terminology for Payables is Bills.Is there a reason for these differences and lack of consistency across the Xero platforms?

Bank Reconciliation - Restrict Bank Transfers
When transferring money between bank accounts in Xero - it would be good to restrict the user to only making the transfer if there is actually a matching transaction in the other account. As it is currently, the user can make the transfer and then it sits in the unreconciled payments or receipts for a bookkeeper to tidy up later on.

AU Payroll - Change Super Payment Frequency from monthly to fortnightly en masse.
If I want to change the Payment Frequency for Superannuation from quarterly to monthly, I currently have to do it for each and every employee individually, A fair waste of time because there are many employees on the list to change, but I've done it. When it becomes mandatory in 2024 to pay all employees fortnightly, I'm hoping to be able to 'Select All' employees, and select to change the Payment Frequency' from Monthly to Fortnightly. Do you know if this has been discussed or is likely to become an option for us?

Inventory - Add a Location and use on Packing Slips
Inventory - We are considering switching to Xero from Sage50, but have come across the issue of not being able to add an inventory item's "Bin Location" to the packing slip. We could include the bin location in the description of the item, but we don't want this to appear on the customer invoice. We only want the item's location to appear on the Packing Slip for the warehouse operatives to locate the items easily.

Reporting - Add Update button to bottom of page
Add an additional Update button to the bottom of Account Transactions report page (or any screen with an update button). Right next to the Save As and Import buttons would be excellent.

Unable to add credit note to invoice in new system - it doesn't add name
Unable to add credit note to an existing invoice in the new system.
You can choose from the click down box - Create and Apply credit -
- the next screen is the credit note with all the details from the invoice, But .. it doesn't add the name of the company/person to credit note
- when you click on approve it can't save it as there is no name.
- I can't see where you can add the name.You have to create a new credit note, and manually transfer the details over from the invoice to the new credit note.
Xero why have you changed this?? It is so much longer to add the CN now!!! What is going on??

While you could try clearing your browsers cache and cookies as a start, I'd recommend touching base with our team of specialists at Xero Support to dig into this. They have tools that we don't have here in community to be able to get better insight and investigate what's going on here.

New Invoicing - When selecting Files, hide the ones that are already attached
Attaching a file from the Xero Library to the new Sales Invoice template. Files saved to a folder within the Xero library now show ALL files rather than just the ones unattached, so you have to sort through all of them until you find the file you need (the attached ones were not shown in old invoicing). This is taking longer to process.
I do sort the files in submission date order, but when you have up to 50 per month submitted it takes a while to scroll through the already attached pdfs.1 vote -
Contact report / export - Including credit limits and terms
Report listing all customers including contact details, credit terms and credit limits
114 votesHi everyone, while there isn't a report that you can report 'terms' atm, you could run the Aged Receivables Summary report that'll provide all the other detail you're asking here.
From Columns in the report you'll see the option to include Credit Limit as well as many of the contact details such as Email and Phone. If this is a report you'd want to access frequently, save it as Custom and maybe even favourite the report so you can easily access it.
When you mention wanting to include 'terms' it'd be good to get more detail of your expectations in this would this be the terms and conditions of the theme applied to invoices for that contact, or perhaps billing information that you may have saved in notes for the contact? Thanks

To have a report which shows the conversion date of a quote to sales invoice, i.e. showing the conversion date, quote number and sales invoice number.

Sales - Ability to request remittance from customers
How many times have we received a payment from a customer and not known which invoices they have paid? Or followed up an outstanding invoice that they have listed as paid in their system?
It would be great to have a button to request remittance advice from a customer for a particular deposit. We have a list of customers for many of our clients where we manually send these requests via email. It is time-consuming and inefficient, though it would be great to have the automation of sending the request straight out of Xero from the Bank Rec screen!
7 votesAppreciate no direct feature for this at present, Grace and we'll begin to get a sense of the interest in this here. In the meantime, perhaps including the request in the invoice Terms and Conditions could be a good indicator that this is something you request of your customers when sending the invoice or reminders?

Tracking - "Add another option" at top of page
When you have a large number of Tracking category options and you wish to add another, you have to scroll heavily to get to the bottom of the list each time you wish to add another.
This is not time efficient. The option to add another tracking category option should be at the top of the page for simplicity and time management of the XERO user2 votes
