Invoice report - Ability to view adjustments to tax
Would like to be able to find and recode transactions in bulk or have a report somehwere, where we can search the "include Adjustment to Tax" amount on any transactions. There is currently no way to find transactions that have this and to correct we have to find the batch payment, undo, edit the invoice, approve and re-batch. Not ideal.

Purchase order - Compare purchase order amounts raised compared with budgeted accounts
For Purchase Orders:
1) Able to assign departmental head for approval ( email goes to manager for approval and they can click and approve ) . Can create a approval level all from Xero to email.
2) Able to see budget against PO , once budget uploaded approver or procurer can see department or nominal account budget before approval.
1 voteAppreciate your idea, Sadan. Sort of 2 different requests in the one here.
We have an existing idea for being able to assign a user that can approve purchase order that you may like to join and vote for.
I'll slightly update the title of this idea to reflect the request to compare with budgeted amounts. We don't have any plans for this right now, but will get a sense of the interest to begin with through this idea.

Trust Account Management - South Africa Legal
South African Law is in desperate need of a simple Xero based Trust Account Management system.
Xero is so easy to use for the Business transactions, a similarly user friendly option for Trust Account Management would be a dream.

AU Payroll - Change status of timesheet
Amend status of timesheet - I accidentally ran a Pay Run without having approved the timesheet. The status of the timesheet then was Approved, and didn't become 'Processed'. An 'Approved' staus meant I couldn't change the calendar setting s etc for the employee. It becasme a challenge to do what was necessary to get the status to 'Processed'.

AU Payroll - Monthly payroll tax report
An automatic monthly payroll tax report would be fantastic. I've noticed Xero cannot do an automatic calculation of Payroll Tax like MYOB can. MYOB allows you to select pay categories (pay items) to exclude and run a monthly payroll tax report.

Thanks for sharing and supporting this idea - while I don't have an update specific to this one, I thought you might be interested in the following:
Our AU Payroll team are testing some changes to Payroll reconciliation. The idea to have an automatic monthly payroll tax report is highly associated with payroll reconciliation and we feel that voters here would also have an interest in payroll reconciliation. They would love to hear from you!
They’re aiming to conduct some 1 on 1 interviews between 6 Feb - 16 Feb 2024, the interviews will last 45 minutes.
The purpose of the session: Participants will be asked to help with testing a prototype concept designed to enhance the AU payroll reconciliation process.
They aim to discover:
- Whether this conceptual solution meets your specific Payroll needs, and if it adds value to your Payroll reconciliation process?
- Whether this conceptual solution addresses your key struggles during Payroll reconciliation? What enhancements would you like to suggest?
If that sounds like something you’d like to get involved with, you can book here 👉 form removed since we've received enough interest.
- Heads up! Participants must be users of Xero AU Payroll, with experience of completing payroll reconciliation for 1 or more clients during EOFY

Bank Feeds - Bank feed form status for all users
When a bank feed form is uploaded, you can see the status of this - currently if one person has uploaded bank feed form, no one else can tell. Would be great if it just showed "bank feed form uploaded and being processed" or something

Xero Accounting app - Save a Quote as a PDF
Hi, it would be good of we could save a quote as a pdf using the mobile app instead of having to login to the desktop version to do it.

Purchase orders - links existing bills to purchase orders
Please provide bills allocation to purchase order option. converting purchase order to bills is not that useful as we received multiple invoice from different suppliers. sometime some supplier send us wrong invoice and without P.O allocations to bills we were unable to catch that kind of mistakes. which result in wrong payment.
benefits of that option:
it will be easy to see if trade/supplier invoiced more than our purchase order (agreed price). as right now there is no way we can see that information in xero.
implementations way could be:
Purchase order should be zero after allocating bill to it or show balance amount (like credit note in bills right now shows zero balance) or something similar to it.
and bill should be zero after payment is made or allocated to that bill as it is already doing. Please provide bills allocation to purchase order option. converting purchase order to bills is not that useful as we received multiple invoice from different suppliers. sometime some supplier send us wrong invoice and without P.O allocations to bills we were unable to catch that kind of mistakes. which result in wrong payment.

Xero Accounting app - Check if uploaded fully before save is enabled
Xero app - Adding a Receipt - check if image/s are fully uploaded before the Save button is enabled/allowed or run a check when the Save button is selected and if image/s are not fully uploaded alert user to wait.
Xero app - Adding a Receipt - auto compress images larger than x size.
The Xero app is incredibly slow when uploading images eg; receipt scans. These are not expenses, the expense app works differently and is much faster but I can't use it for business receipts as they are not 'claims'. It has become slower each time I've upgraded my phone and I've realised why...the size of the images increases as the camera improves. As a work around to save time, I've ended up installing a compression app on my phone which I have to use now as it is still faster than sitting waiting for a 8-10mb photo of a receipt to upload via the app.
Here is what I have to do - take photo/s of receipt/s - use compression app to compress - Add Receipt function in Xero app - find photo of receipt - attach to receipt entry. Yes doing all of this is much faster, although very cumbersome so it would be great if the app was able to deal with this instead.
The first request above is due to my discovery that you can save a receipt whilst an image is still uploading! This means xero doesn't get the image and you are otherwise none the wiser... :(.Many thanks!!

Import Accounting Data
Given there is an option to 'Export Accounting Data' in 'General Ledger format', why is there no corresponding facility to Import in 'General Ledger Format '? I have a client with many problem transactions locked by accountants. The solution is to start again with a copy of the accounts, which involves splitting the exported data into several different import templates.

Sales - Set default landing page for Invoices
Business dropdown menu
‘Bills to pay’ link goes to ‘Purchases overview > All’, showing all Paid and Unpaid.
This should go to Purchases overview > Awaiting payment’? The way it is now doesn’t seem logical, when we’ve clearly selected ‘Bills to pay’ not ‘Purchases overview’ or ‘See all’Menu option to Invoices ‘Awaiting Payment’ going directly to all outstanding invoices?
3 votesHi Larina, we appreciate our customers have different preferences for the bills page they would like to default to and this option is available within the 3 dot menu on the Bills page.
From here you'll be able to set the Awaiting Payment screen as the default.
It's not possible to do this for the Invoices screen atm so I've slightly changed the title of your idea here to reflect that specifically. We'll continue to track the interest here and let you know if there's any progress.

Batch Deposit - Create multi contact deposit without invoices
In QB you can "create a deposit" and in each line item, you can assign a customer, assign a GL account, class & amount. (there is also a line to assign to an invoice/customer ledger if you use those). You can then print a deposit slip from this as well!
PLEASE make this function available.
It is a hassle to enter every check or payment into "Receive Money", then have to go back and try to match up all the correct payments to the bank deposit in the bank reconciliation.
But if we don't do it like that, we cannot reference the customer and then find those payments down the line.

Reporting - Analytics tools for foreign currency exposure
I would like for Xero to provide more detailed analytics about the exposure my business has to foreign currency, with existing foreign currency bank accounts, bills and invoices, but also based on averages regarding how much I am spending and receiving in each currency projecting that out into the future perhaps over the next quarter.

MFA - Set up additional options

Lock dates for time entries in xero projects
We're currently using xero projects a lot and something that happens fairly regularly is staff posting time entries into finalised periods. I.e. we have run reports and finalised an accounting period and then there have been later changes in those periods in xero projects. It would be good to be able to lock periods in xero projects as we do with financial informtation in xero.

Sales invoice - create credit note without applying
To create a credit note from an invoice without applying it to the invoice.
Currently the only option is ‘create and apply credit’.
We refund first then generate the credit note. So we need to allocate the invoice to the customer receipt, then allocate the repayment to the credit note.4 votesGenerally this is a time saving mechanism, not having to then apply the credit to the invoice. Appreciate the detail of your workflow Susan, as definitely makes sense in what you're trying to do here.
We'll start to get a feel for the interest around this here, and in the meantime - Not sure if it still suits your flow however if viewing invoices from the Awaiting Payments list, if you don't need to open the invoice, you could use the 'New Credit Note' option from here.

Project supplier invoices
Scenario - Multiple projects open. If materials are purchased at eg a builders merchants for mutliple projects on one invoice/receipt, it's not possible to allocate the spend to individual projects which is madness. It seems that the total invoice/receipt must be assigned to ONE particular project. When materials are bought, it's often far cheaper to buy them in bulk, hence buying for more than one project at the same time. It should be possible to therefore assign individual lines on the invoice to a particular project (a bit like tracking).
4 votesHi Clare, if you're adding an expense from within a project, it's expected that the expense you're creating is related to the Project you're in. You could create a Bill within the Bills to pay area where you can assign individual lines of your bill to different Projects.

Budgets - Calculate as a % of another line
I'm setting up a budget in Budget manager. Is it possible to budget that one expense line is a percent of another - eg Superannuation is 11.5% of wages payable?
Makes life easier and saves errors with copy typing
