  1. I often collect cash payments that I then create invoices for, rather than having to click on Approve then click on Add payment, it would be great to have the option to Approve and add payment in one click.

  2. Location and time tracking, as it stands you can only enter start and finish time. Be good to have a login and logout to track worked hours in real time not just estimating. Location tracking through the timesheet would also help with when switching jobs.

  3. Would really like the option to have a second layer to approve leave. I am a HR Manager and find it hard when the manager approves leave verbally and I do not get notified until later. I would like to see the option for HR or Finance to get a notification or get the option to approve prior to the manager so we can manage the employee leave status.

  4. We need to be able to create a report that lists inventory item sales and includes the customer name AND other customer contact information such as email address or phone number.

    There have been occasions where I've needed to contact a large group of customers that have purchased a product from me due to a misprint in a book or an update to a title. At present, the only way I can do this is to export my inventory report and add the contacts manually. Xero Support Specialist - Daniel has confirmed this.

  5. The ability to export the auto enrolment pension report and also to "hide" deep archived employees. I check this report mid month and send a list to HR as a sanity check for those employees not yet enrolled/non eligible but now have to scroll through "all" employees past and present to get the current information. Not very user friendly. Even an export option with some way of then filtering whether the employee is current would be useful.

  6. Set a bank rule that only autofills the contact name - Often the same contact is used for sales or purchases to different accounts. Currently bank rules force you to choose an account. I'd like to set the contact automatically with the bank rule, then choose the account during reconciliation. Saves me typing the contact each time.
    ALTERNATIVELY - I saw and voted for another idea that there could be a drop-down list of possible applicable rules, then I could write 2+ rules for the same contact and matching criteria, and choose the appropriate rule. This would be even faster,…

  9. Suggestion: enable the 'Columns' feature that is available in the customer activity list to more parts of Xero. I would like to be able to hide the 'Cost Price' column from Products & Services on the front-of-house system so it's not visible to customers when we are doing a price check.

  11. Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to include some non financial data in zero ledgers for reporting?
    For Example - I would like to include a 'No. of Transactions' for a period that would not be a financial number (so no balancing required) but, this number would be available to add to reports i.e creating a cost per transaction.
    We used to call these 'SKU's' and generally they would Non Financial KPI's like:- production days, FTE's, LTI's or Units produced.
    Any help would be great.

  12. The current version of Shopify Integration App, does not support bringing across the Shopify Order ID, this means the only method you have to check the system is to match the date and the amount.

    You can imagine if you get 3 orders in 1 day that are the same amount its impossible to match them correctly.

    Can we make the system use the Shopify Order ID as the Invoice number?
    To prevent duplication previous apps i have used in xero have applied a prefix to the invoice id, for example NWB- so it would look like this NWB-4615

  13. Currently, you are able to pull the Contact Transactions Summary and ledger for only one contact at a time.

    If you can add the ability to pull more than one contact's transactions at a time, it would be great. It should work the same as "Account Transactions" where you choose the accounts you want to pull, just for Contacts.

    Hi Elizna, you can run the Receivable or Payable invoice detail reports for multiple contacts at a time. Is there something specific about the Contact Transactions Summary that's missing from these reports that you'd want included ? 

  14. Can payroll deductions such as IRD arrears or MOJ deductions etc be included in the Payments Report. This is vital information that is not able to be reported on at this stage and I wonder how many deductions have slipped through the cracks because clients aren't aware that a deduction has been made. In the situation where a third party is managing Xero payrolls for clients these payments need to be communicated manually via email. As you can imagine this places a large burden on the third party to ensure that this is captured each payrun.

  15. PRIMARY & SECONDARY/OTHER CONTACTS

    Thanks Grace - it would be great rather than editing and reentering information if there was a field titled "Primary Contact" and Secondary Contact for eg where we could just update that field using a drop-down box as opposed to re-entering customer information. It would definitely save a lot of time. Maybe something to add in the future?

  16. Although you can save a custom Account Transactions report as the new default report, Xero still displays the original default Account Transactions columns if you drill down to account activity from Balance Sheet or Income Statement.
    This currently requires re-adjusting the column settings every time.

    Thanks for signalling your interest and sharing with us through this idea, team.

    We understand why you'd like a setting for defaults when you drill down through the Account Transactions report. This is something our reporting product team have taken a closer look at, however the solution isn't a simple change and we want to be upfront that at this stage we don't have any plans for. We will share if there are any updates here.

  17. On the notes section to the financial reports in adviser reports templated under the groups, I would like the accounts selected to be in alphabetical order. At the moment the only option is to manually drag and drop - with a large number of accounts this is extremely time consuming. An automated function would assist.

    Is there a specific report or reports you'd like to do this with, Suveera. 

    Xero analytics is one way of getting more of a visual view of an organisations performance, or alternatively you'll find there are a couple of reports like the Income and Expense by Contact reports that enable you to show a chart of your top 10 customers or suppliers. 

  19. After reporting a bug (can no longer preview contact files) I was given the following response :

    "As you’ve found, right now it’s not possible to preview contact files anymore. You can however, download it and view it instead.
    I’ve included a link to Xero Product Ideas where you can view and support current ideas or create a new one to share your thoughts."

    When something breaks you fix it. You DO NOT pretend that fixing it is a "New Feature" - that then needs requested and voted on.

  20. Employers are only required to pay superannuation guarantee up to a quarterly threshold (maximum contribution base). At the moment Xero doesn’t cap the super at this level, and will allow super above the cap to be booked. (In fact, to limit the super at the cap requires a work-around adding 2 lines, one with 0% super and another with the fixed amount up to the cap.). Employers can easily overpay their employees’ super. This functionality needs to be built into Xero.

    Hi everyone, thank you for your feedback and I do want to apologise for any confusion my update's caused. You're correct in that the responsibility outlined in my response is relevant to the concessional contribution cap. Seeing your responses today, we now appreciate that the idea here is specifically around the maximum contribution base.

    I want to assure you this is something our product teams are paying close attention to and though we don't have any immediate plans we can share, we will consider this request as we continue to plan our roadmap - We encourage you to share any further details on your experiences related to managing the maximum contribution base as these will be helpful to the product team as they assess this feature.
