  1. At the moment, when we email a statement from Xero, the customer only receives a static snapshot plus invoice links that reflect the balance at that point in time. If a payment or new invoice is issued after we send it, we must send another statement manually for them to see the updated balance.

    It would be extremely helpful if Xero offered a secure link or customer-facing portal where each customer could view a live statement of their account at any time — showing all outstanding, overdue, and paid invoices in real time — without us needing to resend updated…

  2. As an accountant I prefer the Reporting and Accounting tabs together, under one tab as it has always been. It would slow me down, if I had to search for accounting tools/reports under different tabs.

  3. New Tracking Report has no summary option - the existing summary option will be retired in November meaning more work will be involved in manually working out the summary balance for each tracked item. Please give a summary option similar to "old" report that is being retired.

  4. I quite like the dash board feature and shared it with some clients. However, when they click on the link, it rolls over to current period. It would be good to either integrate this with reporting or allow a dashboard to be saved so it can be shared to show data at a point in time

  6. When you change an employees address on xero, it changes the address on all previous payslips to the new address it should be the address the employee was living at when the payslip was sent

  7. Dear Xero Team,

    I’d like to submit a request for an enhancement to Xero Payroll to improve the setup and management of default superannuation funds.

    Currently, when adding a default fund in Xero, there is uncertainty around what should be entered in the Member Number field. We typically process super contributions through the ATO Portal, but we would love to have the ability to do this directly within Xero.

    Specifically, we would like the ability to:

    Add a Default Fund chosen by the employer.

    Assign employees who do not have an existing super fund to this default fund.

  8. 1st) I suggest on embedding the Validated QR code to the normal PDF invoice so that we can print multiple invoices at one go and our normal PDF invoice also consists of banking details and credit terms whereas the Validated E-Invoicing has none of these.

    2nd) I suggest on putting "Send to MyInvois" button instead of copy and paste the e-mail MyInvois@invoi.ci for every invoice. This is too troublesome.

    3rd) Regarding the Invoice interface on the Sent Column, perhaps can Xero make it into two instead? One is for the Validated E-Invoicing & the other one is for customer. The…

  9. Please remove the invoice amount from the "New Invoicing"

    This should be optional for set templates like the classic invoicing where you could turn it off and on. It doesn't look great and prefer the older layout of the emails where you could control the layout more.

  10. Add the 'Upload bills' feature as a widget on the Dashboard, for convenience.
    At present you have to navigate to 'Bills to pay', then from the 'New bill' dropdown, select 'Upload bills'. It's a great time saving feature, but seems tucked away, and would be great if right from the dashboard I could just drop bills, and invoices, ready to process later.

  12. I would like the option to remove the 'set up online payments' box whenever I create a new invoice. For companies like ours who are never going to use this function, it's irrelevant and takes up unnecessary space (we use invoice finance and our clients don't pay us directly). Could there be a toggle button in the settings to be able to switch this off?

    In the meantime as you've likely noticed, there are placeholders for Statement Balance, Balance With Currency and Symbol, and Balance With Symbol that you might use in the email template.

    Hi community, I’d like to share the new Xero Central page for new invoicing that we noted was coming. 

    Along with updates to individual ideas on the site here, this page will become the one source for key feature rollouts including:

    • what’s available in new invoicing right now,
    • timelines for features and enhancements going live in new invoicing, as well as
    • a comparison table between the classic and newer versions of invoicing.

  16. Once an employees timesheet has been processed and approved it would be handy to be able to print the completed timesheet off for filing away as a hard copy.

    At the moment you have to process and approve the timesheet which automatically takes you back to the list of timesheets to be approved/already completed only to have to turn around at open the same one back up and select the 3 dots at the top as have shown to print the whole page which is incredibly frustrating. Can we please look into having a print option??

  17. Please allow adding on an extra employee for payroll in Australia, as is possible in the UK.
    The Ignite plan is enough for most small businesses and sole traders, but the jump in price just to add an extra employee means paying more than double, which is cost prohibitive.
    Most businesses don't need the add on and accounting tools when you move up to Grow or Comprehensive - allowing for an extra payroll add on for a small charge, would be beneficial for family and small businesses.

  18. More Tracking Categories Fields: please would you consider increasing the number of Category fields? Currently there's only 2 fields and in a situation where you want to track complex sales cycles and sources, this is not sufficient.

    For example - tracking a referring business, a partner account manager, a salesperson and a client account manger.

    Having categories allows to perform calculations of revenue generated, its sources etc.

  19. An Upgrade to the Timesheets function that would allow businesses to create permanent, personalised templates for individual employees.

    Currently, timesheets need to be manually updated each pay period, which increases the risk of inconsistency and errors. Having the ability to set up fixed Earnings Rate descriptions as part of a permanent template would make timesheets more efficient, accurate, and tailored to each business.

    For example, it would be very useful if a timesheet template could include pre-set lines such as:

    Ordinary hours – Direct

    Ordinary hours – Operating

    Overtime hours (exempt from super)

    Overtime hours (including super)

    Overtime Mon–Sat –…

  20. When doing a batch payment and get to the last screen, why does Xero not default to sorting by supplier name and inv/ref - at the moment it sorts randomly which is annoying and then you have to edit the batch to sort correctly so remittances and the batch PDFreport make more sense
