  1. There used to be a visual green or red line for the time taken on tasks. This was very helpful but it has been removed. It is also really frustrating that you can't easily see the individual task time, you now how to click into each one to find out which task is causing the problem. I have been extremely disappointed with the new updates, so much so that I am having trouble using XPM now in a useful way.   2. It would be helpful if you could move the job information sections into any order (and this is default for all jobs & Clients). The main focus when we open a job is to review the tasks and these are way down the bottom. At the very least the default job information layout could be that all the sections are closed and you can open the section you want without have to scroll down all the time.

  4. Extend the information in Xero HQ to include full client data.
    Information that would be good to see on each client information schedule would be;

    a. VAT registration date, this is required for security with HRMC so needs to be in one place when contacting them.
    b. VAT quarters (We do have clients that don’t use xero and this information is important)
    c. PAYE registration details (Not all clients use Xero payroll and equally flicking between various clients bookkeeping systems when on the phone to HMRC is a bit irritating!)
    d. UTR details for companies
    e. Tax district for Both…

  5. Currently the Client Title on a printed or downloaded tax return shows in all uppercase even though the fields in XPM & Tax are proper case. Would like this to be an option to choose so that the text is consistent eg either all uppercase or proper case.

  6. On the cash flow planning part of Syft, use the expected payment dates (both in Sales and Purchases) put in Xero rather than having to manually re-input them into the cash flow planner in Syft.

    Xero Tax should automatically detect when a trustee beneficiary (TB) statement is required (e.g. when a trust distributes to another trust without a family trust election or interposed entity election).

    The software should prompt or block lodgment if a TB statement is missing, similar to other compliance checks.

  10. Not date of service on invoice? Not sure why such a fundamental column is missing? For a business that invoices monthly it’s a necessity to date each line for jobs completed in that month?

  12. Currently our monthly bank revaluation FX diff is being automatically coded by Xero to be split between tracking categories rather than simply being "unassigned". However, for our purposes, once USD are banked, they no longer "belong" to that tracking category and instead are general company funds. It is impossible to tell Xero to stop coding revaluation amounts to tracking categories but this doesn't make sense for the accounts, especially when a tracking category finished within the business months ago.   13. 24 HOUR LOCK WHEN CERTIFICATION TEST "FAILS" NEEDS REMOVED IMMEDIATELY.

    We have a trainee going through his Xero certification. He timed out the first test. He is now locked out for 24 hours.

    We can't have him spending weeks doing this.

  15. The option to filter the reports by tax returns that have been lodged as Final in a certain tax year would be beneficial.
    We could then cross check and archive clients as necessary.
    There are so many fields to choose from in the Fields and Criteria, but this is not one of them.
    It would save us from having to keep a manual list as some can get missed this way.

    We're grateful for your engagement and for this very specific and useful suggestion for reporting in Xero Practice Manager.

    We've reviewed your idea to be able to filter reports by tax returns that have been lodged as 'Final' for a specific year, and it's now open to gain support from other community members. We can definitely see how this filter would streamline end-of-year processes and remove the need to keep manual lists for cross-checking and archiving clients.

    Along with votes, other practices can now comment to share more details on how this reporting criteria would improve their own client management workflows.🙂

  16. We'd like the ability to import job budgets at the time of importing new jobs. The budget field seems to be a standard field for jobs, so I see there would be no reason we can't add the budget at the same time of the import.

  17. It would be useful to have set Staff Teams appear under the 'Filters' list when adding new users to a client.

    We have our internal teams set up as Staff Teams in our practice, and it would speed up allocating access if we could filter the list of staff via these teams.

  18. As a bookkeeper i have noticed that some clients have multiple bank accounts. Can you make the search function include all the bank accounts for that particular client? That way its easier and more effective to find the amount we are searching for.

  19. I’m reaching out to request assistance regarding a feature enhancement for Xero Practice Manager (XPM). Currently, XPM allows invoices to be pushed seamlessly to Xero Accounting (blue), which is incredibly helpful. However, I’ve noticed that proposals and estimates created in XPM cannot be pushed to Xero Accounting in the same way.

    Appreciate you attaching a screenshot to demonstrate your flow here, Badi. Just wanted to check as this is a public forum there's nothing sensitive in this that you wouldn't want others to see?

    Can understand why you'd like to enhance the sync of information and save time in adding these manually in Xero blue.

    Not something we have immediate plans of but we'll start collecting community interest for this through your idea and update if there are any plans made.
