    Thanks for sharing your idea in the forums here, Christopher. There aren't any plans around this right now, but we'll gain a sense of the interest for being able to edit the password for OoA's from your idea here, and share if there's any news.

  2. It would be great if Xero recognised Bank term deposits or Pie deposits, and could record the interest rate, compounding periods, and calculate accruals to balance date.

  3. Please can the corporation tax computation include a calculation of the marginal relief.

    This would need to include the amount of associated companies and the calculation of the marginal relief amount rather than just showing the total of marginal relief.

  5. It would be good to be able to customise the Declaration that is just above the signing line in the Tax Returns. The default wording is quite broad, and it we would prefer to be able to customise it to reduce our risk. Clients are not always truthful in reporting all income, and we need to protect ourselves.

  6. Report templates do not support advanced layout structure and require marginal adjustments often.
    Currently, export in docx format (or other MS Word compatible formats) is not supported and the Xero Team recommends to convert .xlsx into .docx which is not ideal and takes a long time.

    I suggest offering the possibility to export Xero reports that have been filled out (based on Reports templates) to .docx or MS word compatible formats.

  7. It would be great if there was some automatic notification to the client/job manager that a draft invoice has been raised and is awaiting approval.

    Probably just one email per day so they are not being spammed!

  8. Currently, retrieval of PLS Reports (EFT reconciliation report for client trust payments) relies on a manual Retrieval. It would be ideal if this report could be set to automatic retrieval.

  9. General Ledger Detail - Opening Balances - The Option in More..allows you to tick the box to include Opening and Closing Balances, but when the report runs it does not show the opening balances. Please fix this up.

  11. Customize the invoice template according to the need of the organization. On the template over the setting it should give the possibility for adding extra rubrics or fields that it will appear in the invoice as a separate section and just not adding in the "Description" field. Especially when we have to use two currencies and the exchange rate. And also when print the invoice out it doesn't as on the print preview.

    Just trying to get a better understanding of your idea here, when you say you want to add extra fields and rubics could you share a little more of what you'd want to add in?

    Atm, with an advanced invoice template you can customise the template using the DocX template where you'll find there are extra fields that you can choose to include. If you want a permanent message that will show on all invoices you could add this as static text.

    It sounds like advanced invoice templates could possible meet your needs here.

  12. Within insights you should be able to change the date ranges for data so you can see for example revenue for 12 months etc.

  13. When creating a new workpaper pack, clients appearing under the Organisation dropdown is taken from XPM (as a one-way sync).

    It isn't possible to delete duplicate clients in Workpapers, even once they've been removed from XPM and the information has been synced again.

    The downside is that the Permanent workpaper isn't brought forward from LY and there's no sync to XPM (as it's connected to the true client record).

    The workaround is to edit the client name in the Settings (by putting a DNU or ZZ in the name), save it, then delete that Workpaper.

  14. We would like to see more custom report options that reflect the returns so we can interrogate and pull information out of Xero tax in relation to clients

    In particular, get a list of every client that has a number in the Tax Return Labels – Interest Expense or Interest Expense overseas or Royalty Expenses Overseas - See attach screenshots

  15. Currently NZ clients can make payments to a Tax Pooling provider (e.g. Tax Traders or TMNZ) and they will sit in the Tax Pooling Providers account until transferred to IRD.
    In the clients mind they have 'paid this tax' already, but when the tax return is prepared in XPM there is no sign of any tax pooling payments, and it shows the full tax liability.

    It would be great if there was a way to type in how much has been paid to Tax Pooling, and record this on the front page of the tax return so there is a…

  16. In Xero Tax, you can enter "Any other payments or credits on account" to show what a client has already paid towards their tax bill. But you can't enter a negative figure (i.e. a refund already received for a return that is being amended) and there is nowhere to add in any outstanding tax from a previous return etc so that the payments report factors this in.

    It would be good to be able to have some additional boxes to show these please.

  18. Hubdoc User roles - it would be incredibly helpful if upload only users were able to view (not edit or add) tags from a common list. We have 17 staff who have company visa's I'm wanting to use Hubdoc for them to be able to upload their visa receipts & invoices instead of having them manually sent to me the following month for coding and entering.

    I've set up the tags with the descriptions of the GL codes, however I've found that they are unable to view or use these tags without setting them up themselves. Having a communal list…

  19. Ability to export an invoice created in Xero business edition to a document pack.

    For example, if I prepare a BAS or tax return for a client and send it to them in a document pack along with my invoice, I have to export the invoice from Xero and save it, and then add it to the document pack.

    It would be beneficial if there was an option in the invoice screen to add the invoice to a document pack, similar to adding a completed tax return from Xero Tax to a document pack.

  20. It will be great if Xero has its own separated spreadsheet to keep the record or, ideally, import into the CTR's franking account.

    Currently we have to use third party software to keep track of the franking account, and I have seen some of the tools can import from ATO Portal too via csv / pdf.
