  1. We have just been advised that we cannot allocate write off/on to jobs rather against individuals or apportioned across those who have charged time to the job. At times, jobs are short quoted for reasons and it's unfair to impact someone's recoverability due to business decisions. There has to be a way to record such write offs without impacting staff or teams time directly rather recoverability of the job.

  2. The recurring job search is sensitive to macrons etc so clients are not showing up when you search. This is unlike the client search which picks up the client whether there are macrons or not.

  3. Hi,

    Would be great if we had the ability to stop provisional tax letters being generated for non-clients if their IRD numbers are entered into XPM. This creates a lot more work during prov tax times as the list is long and needs to be reviewed so these letters are not accidently sent.

  4. Add Last Items on Hubdoc invoices - lines to be populated in the same order as the previous one. And/or enable the function to rearrange the line items on a multiple line invoice in Hubdoc (like you can in Xero).

  5. Need a placeholder for title (Mr/Ms etc) for cover letters. It should be an easy implementation, as tax returns should already have that as a label. We need it for the address section of the cover letter.

  6. I have a client who holds 4 rental properties all of which had significant differences from the previous year creating a large increase in tax payable. They have asked for an explanation, and it would be more efficient and easier for them to understand, if the comparatives could be on the same report as the current years figures so they were only looking at 1 piece of paper for each property. You can see the 2 years information on the screen but it would be preferable for some meetings to be able to have a hard copy. Thanks

  8. Add a next button to the managed fund distribution page in xero tax.

    When a client has 10 or 15 managed fund distributions that have imported from the pre-fill you have to go back and click on the next one and it is hard to keep track that you have reviewed every single one. (And deleted the 0's this is a separate idea)

    If there was a next button so you can just start at the top and work your way through all the distributions to review them it would make this much easier.

  9. In Individual income tax returns, where an individual received a trust distribution, the trust name appears to show the Trust's TFN in the name in the trust distribution income section. It will be great if the hiding TFN feature includes the hiding of TFN in this distribution income section as well.

  10. Practice Admin have the ability to remove themselves if they have been invite into a potential clients org without manage users.

    Potential clients that decide to not go ahead with a Practice but done remove the PA from the org, PA should have the ability to remove themselves.

  11. There should be an arrow on the Date Selection box to load next equal period. If the original period was one month, there should be an arrow to load next month in just one click - and a back arrow. Same for a year selected, or a quarter.

  12. For the first year of using Xero Tax, as the returns are new and have not been rolled over from a prior year, the contact name defaults to the Job Manager in the Xero Tax Return. There should be an option to adjust the contact default across the practice so that the Tax Agent/Practice name appears on the tax return not the job manager. There are some clients who would be upset seeing an unfamiliar name on their tax return. At present, the only way to change the contact name showing on the tax return is to manually adjust each…

  16. This is not a simple feature request. This is a blatant fault with how Xero Tax handles asset figures.

    In this particular case we have two accounts in the book-keeping records for CIS tax, because we wish to track CIS deducted by contracted on sales and CIS deducted from subcontractors separately. Transfers are made between the accounts as appropriate when liabilities are reported for payment to HMRC.

    At the year end, we want to show this as a single balance. As the net result was an asset at the year end, we tagged both to an appropriate asset type. Instead…

    Appreciate your input here, everyone. Our team is aware of the challenges our partners are facing around the auto-reversal of negative balance. It’s on their roadmap to investigate and provide a better user experience.

  19. Allowing for exported excel reports to have an option to open hyperlinks. For example, being able to open the ledger of the expenses of a line item from the Profit and Loss statement, or being able to open the Aged Details of a customer by clicking on the link of the Aged Summary excel report, or being able to open the invoice by clicking on the link in the excel of the Aged Details reports.   20. For UK add Audit Exempt Clause to Balance Sheet to allow filing with Co House or ability to add free text - is common requirement for small entities linked to a Group. Main reason why practice accountants can not use Xero more plus a Group accounts format would be great
