Please can you include the workings (which are long and complicated) for top slicing relief on an insurance bond gain in the "schedule of data" report which I find to be very basic compared to what my previous tax software provider included. Otherwise it is fiddly and time consuming to check this manually.

  2. Help business owners and team leaders easily identify where staff have submitted time for a week that is less than their capacity. That could be something on the dashboard or a report. XPM currently allows a staff member timesheet to be submitted without any warning that it is below the capacity amount. I shouldn't need to manually review and compare to the different capacity hours for full time and part time staff.

  3. Currently Hubdoc rounds unit prices to two decimal points, despite Xero itself allowing multiple. Invoices where we record units/unit price are unable to be correctly recorded in Hubdoc due to this errant rounding.

  6. Hubdoc User roles - it would be incredibly helpful if upload only users were able to view (not edit or add) tags from a common list. We have 17 staff who have company visa's I'm wanting to use Hubdoc for them to be able to upload their visa receipts & invoices instead of having them manually sent to me the following month for coding and entering.

    I've set up the tags with the descriptions of the GL codes, however I've found that they are unable to view or use these tags without setting them up themselves. Having a communal list…

The ability to format workpaper queries - currently when you type in a query you can enter paragraphs and do simple formatting or spacing out of the query to make it more readable, but as soon as you close the query, any spacing out of the query is lost and all the words run into each other making queries difficult to read.

  8. Force Hubdoc to move documents into review. Often there is a document that has failed, and despite the price, supplier, date, etc, all being clearly visible in the document, it still fails. After filling in all the details I would like a way to 'force' it into review so I can leave it ready in the list to look at. Either this or give a valid reason why it has failed. Often almost identical documents fail or go into review for no reason

    I was told that when you create a job for client A, you can only create CURNN for client A.

    We are unable to make CURNN for client A's association - such as their spouse, their business (company, trust, partnership, etc) or any client in client A's group.

    To do a CURNN for client A's spouse, i would have to create a job for the spouse then create the CURNN.

  10. It would be great is the 'report notes' were in alignment on the PDF like they are in Xero.
    Or if they showed up at all.
    We spend ages on analysis of the reports (answering questions before they are asked) and then the notes at the bottom of the page don't math up to anything.

  11. Hi,

    For the Profit and Loss data (Revenue/ Expense/ Net Profit), should be an option to select last month as currently it's bringing up mid month data and comparing with full month information (ie. running the report 20th October and comparing with either full month Sep 2024 or full month October 2024. A lot of clients invoice end of month or after month end so adds little comparison value.

    For Cash Balances, ability to select which bank accounts are displayed might be worth considering. Currently showing loans, which skews the information into negative.

  13. Hi Xero Team,

    It would be highly beneficial if Xero allowed users to record Capital Works Deductions directly in the Rental Schedule for Income Tax Returns (ITR). Currently, this critical aspect of rental property deductions has to be entered manually, which defeats the purpose of using accounting software to streamline and automate tax compliance.

    Including this feature would:

    • Improve accuracy and efficiency.
    • Reduce manual effort and the risk of errors.
    • Make Xero a more comprehensive tool for rental property management and tax preparation.

    Please consider implementing this functionality in future updates. It would significantly enhance the user experience for accountants…

  14. Can Hubdoc extract the invoice reference or job reference from an invoice and add that as a job tag. Would be very useful when the invoice is on-chargeable to a project, especially when there are multiple projects/jobs on the go. E.g. building industry type jobs.

  16. Xero have announced that they are removing the ability to automatically send batch files across to Kiwibank & ASB on 16th November, in order to "focus our efforts to support areas of Xero that provide the most value for customers."

    Speaking on behalf of my clients who actively use this feature, it's of huge value to them. It automates a process that otherwise involves manually downloading a file, logging into internet banking and uploading that file. It's even better for users who don't have internet banking access, but need to set up payment batches on behalf of those that do…

  17. Losses carried forward have to be manually entered into XPM tax each year. It would be great if the information flowed through automatically from the tax return so that all we have to do is confirm it matches the IRD assessment. At a minimum it would be great if the losses to carry forward figure from 2023 automatically rolled forward to 2024 once it has been confirmed.

I'd like a dashboard showing all clients listed under our organization with all banking details as well as in the moment bank feed status (ie: is the bank feed active, does it needs to be refreshed, has it dropped). This would enable those that have many clients under their organization to work smarter to fix bank feeds as soon as they're down without delays.
