  1. Within the report code descriptions, identifying which IR10 Key Point for NZ tax the report code will feed through to.

    E.g.
    Non-deductible entertainment will go to "Box/Key Point 24 - Other Expenses" and "Box 28 Tax Adjustments"

    This will give a little bit more visibility as to where each item will end up, particularly for the balance sheet.

    If you can segregate this visibility to NZ only files as well, that would be beneficial for other countries not getting information not relevant for them.

  2. Allow for Bank Transfers between two different currency bank accounts via the Xero API.
    This is a fundamental and common use case for bank transfers, and is available within the product, but not available within the Xero API. Please make this available to your API users and business partners.

    Hi everyone, while we appreciate hearing how we could make processes more efficient for our customers using Xero, this is not an idea we would be able to take action on.

    Inland Revenue do not currently allow correspondence to be sent with a tax return via the Gateway services. This may be feedback that you could share with your IR Account Manager. Thanks

  4. Could xero consider reducing the size of text/fonts on the screen. I don't need super extra large enormous text to do my work. Everyone walking past or coming to speak with me can read my screen and see bank details and values, employee names and $ amount and so the list goes on. I have already asked if there can be a bland landing page so that bank accounts (Including balances) are NOT the default screen. Anyone standing nearby can see this information when Xero starts. Both of matters limit confidentiality and most users don't need this sort of exaggerated…

    Thanks for getting back to me on your needs here, Janet. I'll move the idea back to submitted as we don't have direct plans around this atm. We'll get a sense of the interest from the community here and will keep you updated if any progress is planned.

  5. The ability to bulk upload/import Recurring Jobs via .csv file, in the same way you can Bulk Import Jobs that are not recurring.

    This allows for each row to have the copy/paste capacity for overlapping criteria and can be quickly created through a spreadsheet (which could stem from an Export of your client list to 'schedule' your job creation throughout the year).

    One import for an entire client base would be considerably more streamlined and efficient.

  6. AUTOMATIC SUBMISSION OF A RETURN WITH THE "DEFERRAL" DATE ALLOCATED

    It is a critical feature on a system we transition from to XERO tax, to be able to allocate to a finalized return a deferred date for the submission. On such and such date, all returns with that date and tag then come up, and with a touch of a single button all go to the ATO at the same time. The deferral function is critical where the client's return has a large tax bill, for example, and the client has other ways of utilizing the funds and keeping them…

Maybe I'm missing something (integration settings perhaps) but if I enter a personal tax client's details into Xero HQ, then only some of this pushes into Xero Blue and I have to re-enter certain details like client code, email address etc as well as new fields such as sales defaults. Similarly, not all of the data pushes into Xero PM and the UTR/NI number have to be entered again. Is it not possible to have a Xero HQ as the single point of entry which then updates all fields in Xero PM and Xero Blue?

    Just to note around your request for syncing data between Xero HQ and XPM - as you may have seen from recent news we are unifying the clients and staff experience across HQ and XPM in what will soon be Xero Partner Hub meaning all your client data will be synced and consistent.   8. Need the option to add multiple organizations to one client record. At present we are forced to create a duplicate client.

  9. Would like to see the ability to turn on mandatory notes for billable jobs rather than optional. Happy for this to be turned on/off at a practice level.

    This will ensure that time is being recorded correctly against client jobs and making the team member accountable for time allocated.

    This means no missing information and clients can be billed correctly.

  10. The current 'To Sign' list is a combination of tax returns that might be out for signature with the client, or ready for the tax agent to sign. At the moment there is no way for our tax agents to tell which tax returns are ready for them to sign.

  12. PLS Report (EFT Reconciliation Report): Currently it merges first two fields of client name and surname and if that could be fixed with ability to export in .csv / excel please. It would be great if it PLS report could be exported in TrustEasy format to manage fee from refund (attached).

  14. Allow CSV/XML Import into Xero Tax Returns from External Form Tools
    Please add the ability to import tax return data into Xero Tax from external tools like Content Snare using a structured CSV or XML—similar to ATO pre-fill.

    This would let us auto-fill returns from client forms, reduce manual entry, and speed up processing. A simple mapping template or import tool would make a big difference.

  16. Would love the ability to efficiently reassign clients in bulk within XPM, using tickboxes (like in the jobs list) to select the relevant clients and reassign to a new accountant. The import/export feature is clunky and often errors on import. A quick and easy way to complete this function would improve client experience when a new accountant joins the firm.

    Hi Geena, thanks for this great suggestion for Xero Practice Manager.

    We can definitely see how having both the Client Manager and Job Manager visible on the main recurring jobs screen would make it much easier to see who is responsible for what at a glance. Adding an export option for that screen is also a great point.

  18. One of my clients found it very confusing when trying to view & sign a document within Xero sign, as she said there was not an option to view the documents before signing...

    She only saw the option to "Click to Sign" - I advised her she could click this option & would then be able to view the documents before signing, but she was very upset that this option was described as "Click to Sign" & suggested that it should be changed to "Click to Review & Sign" instead.

  20. Revert to standard invoicing until the problems are sorted out. Each entry has a 5 second delay before it is entered. Even this message is doing this. It is currently almost impossible to work with as a bookkeeper. It jumps aaround all over the screen and with the delays one then has to go back and find the field. It is not my computer. Other screens are not a problem. I read somewhere there are going to be changes to payroll. Please test the changes before this happens with this also.

    Hi Pauline, I'm sorry to hear the slowness you're experiencing. I want to be transparent that we will not be bringing back classic invoicing. However, I'd highly recommend raising a case with our team of specialists at Xero Support who can investigate what may be causing this for you.
