  1. Have the option to have a tick box to show a section as completed, as if you have to leave a return part completed and then return to it, (which could be nearly 2 months later) as you have requested additional information, you have to go through it all again to check what you have done whereas a tick box would show which has been done and save you some time.

    Thank you for raising this idea, Ruth. Our Product team can definitely see the benefits of adding support for this. As you will know personal tax has some permanent schedules (Client details, Attachments etc). Would you only expect to have the completed tracking against the schedules that are added or the permanent schedules as well?

  2. I was tagging my balance sheet and my VAT balance in the current year is a creditor but the balance last year was a debtor balance. Is there a way to tag them seperately so my debtors and creditors balances in the current and prior year are correct?

  3. Would be great if on the 'Ask' Tab when you've loaded the search query and picked the finical period in question you could attached the TB or other reports within Xero with out having download first and attach it.
    It would also mean you could do serval clients in one sitting rather than one at a time, which an email would be quicker for.

  4. The dividends are not sorted alphabetically in the return, although they are sorted in the prefill. Can we have the ability to sort fields included in the individual tax return worksheets, such as Item 11 Dividends, Item D5 Other work Expenses, and other similar fields.
    This will make it easier to check and compare, and it looks much more professional.

  5. Wouldn't it be great to be able to link the Prepaid Borrowing Costs from the Balance sheet to the Borrowing Costs working paper and have a journal entry that filters through to Xero for the annual write off amount. This is a such a simple thing that would once again save time when it comes to processing.

  6. When editing the document in Hubdoc, could the creditor/suppliers bank account number please automatically show in the Xero details area. As then we could confirm that the right Xero creditor has been selected and that the bank account number matches the supplier invoice at that moment.

  7. It would be useful if the Tax Payments screen in Xero Practice Manager had an "all" tab, where you could see all tax payments due (for a certain date). This is useful if you don't know what stage a certain letter is at.

  8. A client user console with the ability for that user to log in and see queries on multiple entities rather than have to click on every email. eg. particularly useful when asking queries to a bookkeeper or financial planner on multiple different clients so that they can track all their queries in one location.

  9. The Beneficiary Details schedule of the return will need to be updated - In the title section there should be a 'King's Counsel' option instead of 'Queen's Counsel'.

  10. Request ability for individual users to view their own time recorded under Business Menu without having visibility of all other practice users. There are custom reports you can build to report on time recording but the problem is you can't easily see the total time recorded per day for each staff member for the previous or current week, to check for any gaps. It's not ideal for monitoring time recording, whereas the view under Timesheets in the Business menu is much easier to see at a glance if any days are blank or short in time. However, it is not…

  11. It isn't possible to add a quantity column to a report, nor is it possible to pull through Qty data entered in Xero or create a cell the Qty can be manually typed into.

    You can add a note column but this would be to link to a section of the report pack, not a quantity loaded into Xero or a box we could manually type the quantity into. Further the notes section functionality is unable to be renamed and can only be linked to other reports in the report pack. It does not work to bring through Qty data.

    We often just print a tax estimate and it would be great to have one button for the tax estimate rather than having to unclick all the other options in the print menu.

  13. We would like to be able to hide or remove the Xero sample letter templates as an option in the Tax Payments page. We would like to remove them so that tax admin staff don't accidentally use those templates instead of our custom branded templates.

  14. Would be very helpful to have repeating tasks within a job. For example, if doing work for a client over the financial year there are a list of tasks every month. There is no effective solution when there are different staff assigned to different task within the client job. Repeating tasks with staff assigned for the year would allow you to keep track of what has been done & what still needs to be done for each month. (Monthly checklist for July, Aug, Sept,...)

    Currently the only solution is to have a set of tasks and un-tick these each month.…

  18. Practice Manager - Client Report - Include Client Verification notes as a reportable field.

    Wanting to create a report that enables us to view the notes added to the Client Verification section. Currently it looks like you can only build reports with the Date Verified, Verified by and Verified fields. Would be good to be able to also view the notes. Particularly for non-individual clients who also need to have the relevant individuals also verified which does not always happen at the same time.

    Current workaround is to create a new custom field to record the same information as recorded…

  19. Have the ability to create more than one report style (colour and logo) so when you export to a 'Styled PDF' there are choices beyond 'no styling' and your default.

  20. Hubdoc App. Can we have the ability to hide archived documents. Or create a separate tab similar to the web version. Another option is to make archived documents dim so clients are aware that the documents are processed and are in Xero.
