  2. This is to do with Custom Reports and should be little effort for a good result.

    I note that after discussions with Xero the [Tax Return AU] Not Started Returns field is only available in the Client Returns report. It would be great to have [Tax Return AU] Not Started Returns in the Tax Return report area so you could generate a report on which returns have been started, in addition to the current status of the ones that have been started (ie Draft, Complete, Lodged) at the moment we can only see if a tax return has been created…

  3. Would be great if we could sort by staff in the WIP Ledger reports. We can select staff it in the fields but not criteria. Would be good to provide reports to managers for their staff only.

  4. Fixed Assets - Asset Serial Numbers Printing on Depr Schedule
    It would be helpful to have as a print option for the Depreciation Schedule the ability to print asset serial numbers. This is one of the few fields not current able to be selected.

    Application is transport Companies and Engineering Companies which have a high reliance on serial number identification.

  5. When a client uploads or emails a file to the Xero files area of their own subscription, it would be helpful if we, as their accountants, could receive a notification to let us know there is a file waiting for us.
    This should be an optional setting, perhaps even with limits (eg notify me for every 5 files uploaded).

  6. I am wanting to run a weekly report which lists any lodged returns that have been ticked as Final Returns in the return itself. This will then trigger a set of tasks to wind up the client (ie ASIC deregistrations etc).

  7. Xero workpaper would also show the actual file report and not just the links when exporting the workpaper. This is only available for files uploaded to the workpaper. Our practice uses FYI docs where all the relevant schedules, documents, and files are uploaded and we simply link it to Xero Workpapers. This is also helpful for practices who are using cloud storing services for documents and files.

    When you view a group in XPM it shows you the recipients, the phone and address fields, it would be amazing if the mail email address was also displayed.

  9. Xero Sign - It would be great if there was an indicator to let us know that one or more clients within the one document pack have signed the documents. (if it is sent to multiple people) We only get notified once everyone signed.

  10. Currently you cannot submit a purchase order in Hubdoc, there is no "publish as" option.
    It would be good if it was an option and have it flow/link with purchase orders in Xero, to which then can flow into Approvalmax to be approved.
    Currently it requires an employee to access another system which would be good to limit.

  11. It would be great to be able to customise if the fields are mandatory or not for new client setups. This would allow us to ensure that the fields we need setup are being setup by the admin team.

    Hi everyone, while this is something our team began looking into, unfortunately this has been put down with other more immediate work taking priority.

    Hopefully they will be able to pick this back up down the track, but we'll move back to Submitted for now and continue tracking the interest here. I'll let you know if there are any more changes.

  13. When adding invoices through HubDoc when there is a new contact that needs to be added, it would be great if the option to create a new contact (supplier or customer) was available in HubDoc, rather than having to start typing in the contact filed & then having to wait for HubDoc/Xero to catch up.

  15. The NZ tax rate for a trust's income tax has changed in the 2025 tax year from 33% to 39% when the taxable income in the trust is $10,000 or more.
    At present we are not able to have a different formula in comparatives to the formula in current year, so a modification to the If( . . ) statement in the current annual accounts tax note cannot be made that would work for 2025 and comparatives.

    At the moment the only solution available per Xero Support is a custom line, with accounting staff manually entering the tax payable amount…

  16. In APS you have the ability to live synch the tax ledger. As an example a transfer to 2025 from 2024 income tax made today won't show until the next day in the tax return summary.
    A synch button to do this would be helpful and save time from stopping the job until the next day to print/save

  17. Would like the ability to see Write-ons / Write-offs on the Invoices dashboard for Draft invoices to allow easier review of drafts.

    Alternatively some form of reporting that takes draft invoices into account vs billable time to see 'draft write-ons/offs'.

  18. We need the ability to issue a cheque and track cheque numbers in currency that is not the home currency. Example CAD is home currency. We have a USD bank account and issue cheques on that USD account but we are unable to confirm the cheques have been issued in sequence as there is no log. We are also unable to issue a cheque from that account.

  19. Be able to set up default coding for the Document Type to always be Receipt, and Document Status to always be Awaiting Payment. This at present isn't possible within Hubdoc.

  20. On the IR3 2024 tax return it is currently labelling the tax liability after provisional tax paid as 2024 residual tax to pay. It should say "Tax to pay" or "Terminal Tax to pay". It is incorrect and confusing to have the tax before and also after provisional tax to both be labelled as residual tax. In communications when we are advising on provisional tax obligations we reference the obligation being based on 105% or 110% of residual income tax and now that is not clear for the client which figure we are using.
