  1. There is the option of adding Groups as a taxable group, however if the option is not selected client members of that group still pull through as related parties when adding a new return. The ability to use multiple Groups would be a great driver for "advisory" automations in 3rd party software if it didn't have that adverse outcome. Enhancement request - adding a tax return the related clients should only pull through members of the taxable group and exclude members of the "advisory" group.

  2. It would be helpful if XPM could automatically select 'Split Provisional 50/50' for clients since the system already has the information from the IRD to do this. This would stop clients future provisional tax showing incorrectly on a current tax return and in tax payment reminders and would instead ensure the figures advised to pay agreed to the IRD's figures without us having to manually intervene.

  3. Would be great if we could sort by staff in the WIP Ledger reports. We can select staff it in the fields but not criteria. Would be good to provide reports to managers for their staff only.

  4. Multi select or more filter options when processing superannuation payments. This would expediate processing super payments for large employers. For example, you should be able to filter the super payment to show only last month super and select all and submit for payment. At the moment, if we want to process the previous month's super, we have to manually unselect each employee super that relates to the next month or quarter that we aren't required to pay yet.

  5. We have the AS' downloaded from ATO automatically and this creates a new job for every AS. We then need to add an AS task to every job individually.

    Would be great to be able to add task/s to multiple jobs in one go - similar to how you can assign staff/manager to multiple jobs in one go.

    When you view a group in XPM it shows you the recipients, the phone and address fields, it would be amazing if the mail email address was also displayed.

  7. It would be great if we had the ability to create our own groups within the staff screen in Xero HQ. At the moment we have filters for standard, administrator, master administrator and then also staff that have been invited but not yet accepted.

    It would be useful if we could create our own custom staff groups. For example by office location: London, Glasgow, Manchester etc. or by function within the business: Accounts, Audit, Tax etc.

    Staff could belong to different groups as well, Glasgow and Audit or London and Tax.

    Hi everyone, while this is something our team began looking into, unfortunately this has been put down with other more immediate work taking priority.

    Hopefully they will be able to pick this back up down the track, but we'll move back to Submitted for now and continue tracking the interest here. I'll let you know if there are any more changes.

  9. An easier way to schedule tasks. A lot of my clients create annual jobs with lots of tasks and want to be able to schedule tasks in the same way you can allocate staff. You hit a button and schedule all the tasks in a list with assignable start and due dates. I have more than 40 clients that I am doing implementation and training and XPM support for, and all of them has asked me for an easier way to do task scheduling.

  10. Being about to print multiple Tax Returns by selecting the box in Returns and having a print options, it would be amazing if you could also select to redact Tax file numbers or choose to print them.
    At the moment I need to print 17 today, I have to go into each individual client and select the tax return, select to print etc. It would save a lot of time being able to print multiples

  11. Xero Sign

    Often I send husband and wife docs to sign.

    If we put the wife to sign their return, the husband cannot see it in the pack.

    This might have been some privacy idea but think in terms of a real physical meeting, you have both pwople checking both, or if you post, both check both. It makes sense they both unde4stand each other.

    So ability to see everything in the pack would be good.

    Current workaround is I put the return in the pack a 2nd time with no spots to sign, so the other person can see…

  12. Removal of 'completed' jobs from the job list when preparing an invoice in XPM.

    Sometimes we invoice a parent client with multiple entities jobs appearing and this can be very hard to navigate when looking for current jobs to invoice - even if the status is marked to be invoiced. It would be more efficient if completed jobs just didn't appear in the list.

Contacts grouping - When exporting clients to a CSV file, being able to see which clients are allocated to which group, I've assigned a group (there's about 8 different groups in total) to 2/3 of my 1500 client list, but now have to sift through 1 by 1 allocate a group to the remaining clients.

  17. I'm completing my first Trust ITR for 2024, and inputting info into the new Trust Income Schedule.

    The Non-PP income flows through to Item 8, but the Capital Gain isn't flowing through to Item 21...

    WHY do you insist on SO MUCH double entry??!?

    It's not even throwing an error, like the 'Managed Fund' schedule does in an Individual ITR??

    Appreciate the conversations here. The other idea linked in this conversation that we delivered on was for the ability for information to flow from the Trust Return(TRT) to Individual Returns(ITR) which is facilitated with the Trust Income Schedule,

    This is slightly different in that you're wanting information from the CGT worksheet to flow through to a TRT.

    Right now non ITR's will need to create a CGT worksheet after the Trust Income Schedule, we appreciate wanting to see further improvement in this space for non ITR's to create a CGT event in a worksheet. It's something we looking to implement in the future but don't have a timeframe on atm. I'll let you know here if there are any changes. Thanks

  18. Can we use the Reports Codes from Xero to populate Trust Accounts Disclosures in Tax Return. Just the same way as is done for the IR10.

  19. We use multiple tax agent numbers across our business yet when we lodge STP reports via the client's organisation, we can only use one tax agent number for all clients as Xero only allows for one tax agent number to be set in Xero HQ.

    This is causing many issues, including staff and clients inadvertently updating tax agent details in the STP lodgment area on their own file, which is then updating the tax agent in HQ for all STP lodgements.

    It is also causing issues with tax agent appointments/linking, where the client has to appoint one agent number for…
