  1. When completing employment earnings and benefits from Xero Payroll into Xero Tax, it would be really useful to have the two linked. This reduces repetitive tasks and reduces input error.

    Hi Michelle - thank you for raising. We can definitely see how this would help. I've checked with our Product team and this is something that is not currently on our immediate roadmap. However, we will continue to monitor this. In the meantime, we are in the process of adding integration with HMRC to pull employment data for all individuals.

  2. Contacts grouping - When exporting clients to a CSV file, being able to see which clients are allocated to which group, I've assigned a group (there's about 8 different groups in total) to 2/3 of my 1500 client list, but now have to sift through 1 by 1 allocate a group to the remaining clients.

  4. Please add the ability for Xero Tax to directly upload a list of data (Excel or CSV) for;
    1. List of Assets for capital allowances where the business does not use Fixed Assets Module
    2. List of participators loans
    3. List of projects for R&D

  5. Have a separate tick box to include/exclude the detailed disclosure (separate from other schedules).

    We would like to be able to print schedules where required but not show all of the detail for the asset and liabilities disclosure. Allow us to select which schedules get printed with the tax return, rather than the all or nothing approach.

  6. In any particular Xero account, you can review the history notes (essentially an audit log), however we do not seem to have the ability to audit a particular staff member's activity across all clients.

    This would be useful if you have a particular firm employee making the same mistake across multiple reconciliations. You could see their access/activity log to know which clients you needed to review. Or if you simply needed to know every client the employee has touched in a certain timeframe.

  7. I would like to have hubdoc periodically log in to our supplier's account( Fedex, Amazon, Upwork, UPS etc) and fetch the invoices automatically.

    Dext Prepare already does that so I can see Xero loosing thousands of dollars by relying on third party software. I guess let's start with the most popular suppliers and take it from there. This can be an add on to Hubdoc for a bit extra and happy to pay as long as it is comparable in price to other software packages. That would greatly automated our accounts.

  8. Initially, creating bills other than the base currency, and paying it with a different currency is not available in Xero, even when the other currencies are properly added in the settings.

    For example:
    base currency- GBP
    bills - AED
    Payment - EUR using EUR bank account.

    To resolve this, you have to use a suspense account. But this is a tedious process.

    I hope Xero can do something to enable payment in a different currency for this case.

  10. Adding a disclaimer & changing the substantiation declaration on the tax returns - our old system used to have this that the client could sign which we would like to make adjustments to but we have to manually add this on to tax returns in Xero tax.

  11. Remove a currecy added in error and never used, which makes reports more complicated than need be (Source AND GBP in every Transaction report, implying we are multicurrency when we never have been)

  12. 2 TOIL options, TOIL accrued & TOIL Accrued in place of Overtime

    We are unable to mark a Time in Lieu Leave pay item as exempt from accruing SGC, which is not how the ATO classifies SGC for TOIL.

    We suggest having 2 TOIL categories, so that there is the option for a TOIL where SGC is required to be paid and one wit SGC exempt:- when super is accrued on overtime.

  13. Need seperate accountants report options for Ltd Company and Sole Trader
    Currently only have this for Company accounts and if you edit it to be suitable for a Sole Trader, then it is not suitable for a Company.
    Need to be able to choose between two options

  15. It's a small annoyance - but an annoyance all the same.
    (mostly I am annoyed with myself for forgetting the two sections are different ;)

    In the Destinations section of Publish & Proceed - when you start typing in a Contact name if it doesn't yet exist you get the option to add as a new contact - and the beginning of the name you've typed staysa in the box. Then you finish typing it in and hit Create.

    But above, in the Transaction Details section when the first letters don't pull up a known supplier, and you hit +Add…

  17. Xero Practice Manager - Tax

    I want to be able to run two reports to see which staff have tax access to which clients and to see to which clients a staff member has tax access. This is very important for security purposes and additionally to help us meet our obligations as tax agents.

  18. Currently once the document pack is sent you can't see the message that you have sent the client. It would be good to be able to see what you have told them- especially if you are providing them with additional information but you don't want to have to do a separate email.

  20. It would be great if we had the ability to create our own groups within the staff screen in Xero HQ. At the moment we have filters for standard, administrator, master administrator and then also staff that have been invited but not yet accepted.

    It would be useful if we could create our own custom staff groups. For example by office location: London, Glasgow, Manchester etc. or by function within the business: Accounts, Audit, Tax etc.

    Staff could belong to different groups as well, Glasgow and Audit or London and Tax.
