  1. In Xero Tax, you should be able to change the name format for all directors even if they've been appointed after the Accounts Year End. Currently if you've changed the name format for directors previously from 'SURNAME, Name' to 'Name Surname' when a new director is appointed post year end, they are brought into the company information page with 'SURNAME Name' format and there is no ability to change the format to 'Name Surname' to match the others so you then need to change the other directors to 'SURNAME Name' format to match.   2. For non-Xero clients, it would be very useful to be able to use workpapers and include the actual account balance from the Client's accounts, rather than displaying the Xero account balance as nil. As a practice, we use Xero workpapers, but not every single client uses Xero.

  5. The ability to view/ create Reoccurring jobs within the individual Client. at the moment its a very different setup to create Reoccurring jobs.
    Additionally the ability to convert a single job to a reoccurring job. Will make creating jobs much easier.

  6. A common situation we have with our clients' live Xero files is that the client wants the Legal/Trading name and Display Name as their business name, but we want it as the actual entity name. E.g. we would like to see A & B Smith Family Trust as the entity name in financial statements, but the client wants all their other internal reports/invoices as their trading name, say Adam's Mechanical Services.
    We often find ourselves changing the name to what we require, publishing financials and then changing it back to keep the client happy.

  7. It would be great to show the lock dates from each client's Xero file in HQ. Visually, it would be very similar to the Year End column, and likely not enabled by default.

    This would allow Advisors to easily identify clients that don't have prior periods locked, and then go into those files and correct it. This would increase usage of this important data protection feature and reduce errors caused by inadvertent prior period adjustments.

  8. There should be the option to show the tax estimate (i.e.: calculation page) for companies on the front page of the tax return instead of being buried within the body of the report.

    For a lot of clients the first page is what they are really interested in (calculation of tax payble/refundable).

    Having the flexibility of being able to change page ordering within Xero Tax without having to do it manually would be helpful.

  9. Currently, there’s no functionality in Xero Practice Manager to edit job names in bulk. This would be an extremely useful function for us. For example, we have a large number of Client Services jobs which need updating and without a bulk update function we need to do this manually, job by job which takes far too long.

    Hi team, we appreciate your input to product ideas. While we don't have plans for bulk update of Job names right now, I wanted to share some work we've recently released for other bulk actions.

    You can now update the Priority, State, Start date, Due date, Staff, Manager or Partner for multiple jobs at once. Select the jobs from the Job Manager page, click 'Bulk actions' and choose the action you'd like to make.

Very disappointed to hear that you haven't considered how the new reporting standards for Tier 3 entities is going to effect the reporting templates i.e. the requirement to split grants into multiple sub-categories, which is only one area of the new reporting standards that needs to be expanded.
    Would you be able to make this a high priority for the product team and provide a reasonable timeframe as to when this will be considered for further development as obviously we need to meet our obligations and your reporting mapping is no longer going to make this easy for us given…

  13. I had a validation error CMN.ATO.DISTBENTRT.000013 generated in an SMSF tax return.
    When I clicked on the validation error it took me to a specific trust income schedule (number 10 of 18), which had several fields highlighted. The error says that there must be a number in any of the fields A B D U and so on - this schedule met this condition.
    After much wasted time trying to re-enter fields, checking there were no blank spaces, deleting and re-entering all fields, deleting and re-entering the whole schedule, I contacted support.
    It turns out the error was actually generated…

  15. Account number to be synced to XPM from Xero. This unique account number/code is very useful and would be great to be automatically synced. Further, if, just like in Xero, it is a set field in XPM that notifies you when you are duplicating a code that has already been used for another client.

  17. I am finding the inconsistent implementation of the new Xero style mixed in with the old incredibly frustrating. The new style screens are slow to load & enter data, the tabbing and typing a few letters then hitting return either doesn't work (add payment) or is inconsistent between screens, entering a new customer on the fly is frustrating because you can't enter all the information at once & still have to open the full contact edit screen to complete it, also the new contact pop up doesn't autopopulate addresses as you type, the send remittance button disappears if you get…

    Hi everyone, sorry we've not responded here sooner. As we upgrade technology we are mindful of the impact this can have for our customers. We understand changing features and learning new flows and the ways of performing some actions can be a big transition for customers.

    In particular, as mentioned in your feedback here with new invoicing. To support as much as possible during this time, we're providing lots of information through means of blogs, education and guides on Xero Central.

    We're also continuing to iterate and develop new features into new invoicing that we know our customers want.

    An example of this are recent improvements we made to the 'Contact' field adding the ability to look up your contact address, edit or add the Attention field, and adding more address lines.

  18. Allow users to add columns for Partner, Manager, Client Group, Xero file type and subscription owner.
    We have staff that work for a particular Partner's clients. It would be great to be able to filter the client list by all of the above information so that they can be easily identified for updating new staff permissions.

  19. have supplier inv reference picked up in hubdoc and posted through to xero so xero can show in supplier reconciliations . so supplier canrecognise our ledger . also avoid hours trying to cross refer supplier invoice reference queries to the associated hubdoc unless obvious by date

  20. I would like to do a bulk update of the supplier configurations in HubDoc to set the "Configure rules for Xero" to "off" so that we can begin our configurations from scratch. Doing it maunally for the number of suppliers we have is very time consuming so I would like to request assistance in making a bulk change.
