It would be great to be able to see the balance owing once the BAS is submitted....have a client in credit and had to log on to my OSFA portal to check the running balance to let them know whether they had to make a payment yet. Would be great to get this data into Xero tax somehow. Anything that avoids us having to use the ATO portal is a great move

  2. Ability to export Xero Tax in CSV format.

  3. I would like to be able to firstly differentiate my payroll journals from other journals and then produce an end of year report of the payroll journals.

    How you could facilitate this:
    -Tick box on the journal to identify it as payroll related.

  4. I am finding the inconsistent implementation of the new Xero style mixed in with the old incredibly frustrating. The new style screens are slow to load & enter data, the tabbing and typing a few letters then hitting return either doesn't work (add payment) or is inconsistent between screens, entering a new customer on the fly is frustrating because you can't enter all the information at once & still have to open the full contact edit screen to complete it, also the new contact pop up doesn't autopopulate addresses as you type, the send remittance button disappears if you get…

  5. Some banks require the ABN or ACN to be present on all pages of the Financial Reports supplied to them. Currently, the only way to do this is to export the report to Excel and then painstakingly type the ABN/ACN in to every single page.

    There should be an option to toggle this on/off. Alternatively a field type that pulls the ABN from the company file would be suffice to add to the report template.

  6. Ability to add multiple email addresses for tax payment letters.
    This would be great if looked into very soon.
    We have been manually entering additional email addresses which is a bit of a worry if a character is misspelt.
    When copy and paste is used the changes get made to all clients and is a real disaster.

  7. Allow users to add columns for Partner, Manager, Client Group, Xero file type and subscription owner.
    We have staff that work for a particular Partner's clients. It would be great to be able to filter the client list by all of the above information so that they can be easily identified for updating new staff permissions.

  8. have supplier inv reference picked up in hubdoc and posted through to xero so xero can show in supplier reconciliations . so supplier canrecognise our ledger . also avoid hours trying to cross refer supplier invoice reference queries to the associated hubdoc unless obvious by date

  9. Allow mapping of tracking categories in Xero Tax.

    Xero Blue is better catered for tracking category use as opposed to subaccount creation, however, tracking categories from Xero Blue are unable to be mapped in Xero Tax. Therefore, manual entry is required to populate multiple schedules in Xero Tax.

    Example:
    • Client has two Rental Properties, therefore will have two Rental Schedules in the ITR
    • Income from both properties is mapped to a singular GL Account ‘Rental income’
    • The Income in Xero Blue file is segregated by tracking category option, e.g.
    o Tracking Category: Property
    o Category Options: Property…

  10. XPM Staff permission - Practice Administration Permissions: You shouldnot have to give a staff member access to the full business setting menu to be able let them access the PLS/ELS reports. There should be a PLS/ELS Management only permission.

    I want a staff member to be able to access the PLS/ELS reports without being able to access other staff member information or having access to all my practice setting.

  11. As 'Blue Xero' supports a 'Not for Profit' organisation, it disappointing that an accompanying
    CT600 cannot be produced in Xero Tax for a charity.

  13. It would be hugely helpful if we could add rules under supplier settings in hubdoc much like the bank rules in Xero. E.G. Client has a home office and I want to split the electricity bill 33% to Power and 67% to Drawings. Number 1 - I won't have to try and remember what the percentage for each client is as they vary and number 2 - I would be able to use the automated function to Publish to Xero.

  14. The entire workpapers function is inefficient and burdensome. It would be much better to have packs carry forward when creating new packs so that you don't have to add all the notes and work papers back each time. When you roll a work paper pack, having to check & uncheck all the irrelevant sections is a waste of time that would also be alleviated by just being able to roll the prior period pack. The ability to use excel sheets with linked data to the accounts in Xero would be greatly beneficial. Another aggravating and time consuming issue is not…

  15. Enable User Created Pay items to feed data into Pension filings and payroll expense journals. Currently, any additional pension pay items that aren't created by Xero automatically won't pull through to the pension file. The same happens for re-imbursements

  16. Xero Practice Manager Timesheet upload. We have staff that complete the same administrative tasks each day every week for up to 50 clients a day. Entering these times in XPM is extremely time consuming and the time spent rarely changes. It would be extremely useful to be able to import a timesheet template with set clients/tasks/times. Then they only have to make modifications to timesheets. This would reduce time entry burden by two or three hours per week.

  17. Bulk importing/creation of Jobs - to include Tasks with Estimated Time and Staff on Job.
    I would like to do a bulk creation of the Job and also then bulk creation of Tasks and Estimated Time, and to allocate to Staff on the Job. Or an easy entry area to update the Job Task Estimated time so you don't have to enter into each job individually to enter this data.

  18. As an accountant I use a trial balance for every file I open.
    Can the trial balance be set as a standard report/ automatically added to favourites in the accounting option or each user be able to chose a standard group of favourite reports for all clients - Pain having to go into each new file i access and add to my favourites.

  20. Set the demo company as the first company seen on log-in, or be able to set which one you want to see.

    I often use my laptop when speaking with clients and for a split second after logging-in I am on another clients business dashboard until I can grab the mouse and change it to their business. I don't think this is good business practice.
