  1. Bulk importing/creation of Jobs - to include Tasks with Estimated Time and Staff on Job.
    I would like to do a bulk creation of the Job and also then bulk creation of Tasks and Estimated Time, and to allocate to Staff on the Job. Or an easy entry area to update the Job Task Estimated time so you don't have to enter into each job individually to enter this data.

    Thanks for raising this idea, Abhaas. The tax adviser details will roll forward into the next year for each client, once added. But we totally understand that entering them in one place for all clients would be a big time saver.

    For full transparency, this is something we'd love to solve for you, but we currently are working on other items like importing HMRC data and supporting the SA107, so it isn't currently something that is planned right now.

    We definitely see the positives from auto-filling the tax adviser details so we'll continue to monitor interest in this idea and consider how this fits into our plans with making tax and practice management more integrated.

  3. The format of the 2023 IR 3 return does not appear to allow for a nil amount of FIF income. When nil is entered (which will be the case when the CV method produces loss), an error arises. The disclosure of FIF income (even if nil) may be important for statute barring purposes and will also avoid subsequent queries from IR (once exchange on information between countries lands on IR desks) on why a taxpayer may not disclosed offshore dividend income (where those dividends arose from FIF investments).   6. Recommendation is to add graphs as a report on Xero. Clients can see their turnover an example over a few months which can be sent to them direct from Xero !

    Is there a specific report or reports you'd like to do this with, Suveera. 

    Xero analytics is one way of getting more of a visual view of an organisations performance, or alternatively you'll find there are a couple of reports like the Income and Expense by Contact reports that enable you to show a chart of your top 10 customers or suppliers. 

  7. It is not really Xero HQ, it is in MyXero dashboard and in subscriptions where you can input a client code. This is the code that then shows on the CSV file attached to the monthly Xero bill for client subscriptions. At the moment this client code can only be input manually. We really need the ability to export client subscription list and re-import with a client code so that it would make allocating client Xero files for billing easier each month.   8. Please can we have a simple Tax Return Status report that we can run by tax year (or other appropriate filters) that shows all the relevant fields that I can see on personal tax return screen.

    This way we would be able to run a report for a particular tax year and see who we still have to do by way of a control check. This would also be useful on the company tax and accounts side

  9. Change Capacity under Settings/Practice to allow for Saturday and Sunday so that on the Dashboard for Time Summary the time entered on Saturday and Sunday shows and is reflected in the Productivity circle on the Dashboard

  13. There used to be a tab where we could check which of our clients hadn't filed their GST returns on time, this has been removed, can you please bring it back as we now have no way of checking if we or our clients have missed filing a return.

    Hi everyone, we’d like to confirm that GST F5 for foreign currency ledger is not something we have plans to develop at this time. We’re still interested to get a clearer understanding of users that’d like to see this developed for Singapore tax, and will continue to track this through the conversation here.

    In the meantime, for those who aren’t already aware, in a Singapore organisation users can access the GST Audit report which shows the base currency, FX value and Singapore dollar value information you’ll need to meet IRAS requirements.

    As the GST Audit report doesn’t show the gains and losses needed for IRAS reporting, you can use the Foreign Currency Gains and Losses report to see this information.

  17. Ability to add multiple email addresses for tax payment letters.
    This would be great if looked into very soon.
    We have been manually entering additional email addresses which is a bit of a worry if a character is misspelt.
    When copy and paste is used the changes get made to all clients and is a real disaster.

When preparing the client's financial statements it would be useful if we could upload the accounting partner's signature (e.g. as a JPEG or TIF) into the compilation report before the financials are published. We have to edit the signing section each year to update the date so it would be good & more efficient if we could upload the signature at the same time.

    It would then carry forward when the draft financials of the following year are prepared.

  19. Whilst this currently auto calculates, there is no calculation in Xero to confirm the return has the correct amount. This has to be checked manually, which can leave room for errors and requires extra work by users. It would be more efficient if the system could check this.
