XPM - Insert a merge field/placeholder into Task description
It would be helpful to be able to insert a merge field such as 'Tax Year' into the description of a task. Handy when it comes to preparation of the invoice as not all returns are for the current year.

Tax - A shortcut CGT entry
Sooo many suggestions! A shortcut CGT entry, could be easily done by making the boxes in the CGT summary clickable like the expenses area. Thereby not having to complete a full schedule for everything.

AU Tax - R&D Schedule to automatically fill Part B7 and Part B9
The R & D Schedule does not automatically pull through the following items in the tax return:
R & D recoupment amount (Part B -7) - This amount is required to be manually entered on the income tax calculation statement at label M, R & D recoupment tax.
Total clawback - additional assessable income (Part B - 9) - This amount is required to be manually entered in the reconciliation spreadsheet, Other assessable income, label B

NZ Tax - Option to toggle between client display name and legal name on ITR
Client full legal name should display on the individual tax return rather than their display (preferred) name. Or give us the option to choose which name should be pulled into which report.

NZ Tax - Generate all provisional tax payment letters prior to the due date passing
IRD has $ for 3 provisional tax payment dates, however the Tax Payments listing only shows the next provisional tax payment due and misses the 2nd and 3rd ones until the date of each provisional tax payment has passed. It would be more accurate to have all tax payments showing on their due date regardless of the date of viewing.

AU TAX - Send tax returns to clients directly through Xero Tax
It would be useful to be able to email tax returns direct from XERO tax. Returns sent by XERO sign can only be viewed by a client in their entirity prior to signing if they have an ADOBE account.

Xero Tax - List of payments made to IRD
We would like to be able to run a listing of physical payments made to IRD by clients over a date range that shows the client name, IRD number, payment date recorded by IRD, tax type and the tax period/year that it was applied to.
This would enable us to easily identify when clients pay tax to the wrong period.

Xero HQ - Make Analytics and Analytics Plus available in HQ
Why is Xero Analytics and Analytics Plus not available for Xero partners within Xero HQ? Is this currently in consideration because it would be extremely useful to promote to existing clients who are currently using other BI tools that have no API connectivity with Xero and making the financial analysis process much more complex than it should be?

Workpapers (UK) | CT Workpaper - Marginal Tax relief
Please could we update the Corporation tax Working paper in the UK in Working papers for Marginal tax relief.
It's fairly useless without it as the final figure does not agree at all to the value of the CT. Unless it's fudged and then you can't see the computation.4 votes -

Requesting a feature that auto-populates client info in XPM via a secure link that we can send to the client, allowing admin team approval, enhancing privacy for sensitive data like TFNs, and reducing form completion errors

XPM - Notes & Fonts option on Recurring jobs
Would be great to have a notes section under "description" in recurring jobs in XPM as well as the ability to change font type,size & colour

Reports - Show/hide the Report Builder (header) when printing to PDF
Report builder offers the ability to print PDF reports which is great but if needing to use these for external purposes, e.g. a timesheet detail report to supplement an invoice, the criteria/header portion currently has to be printed also. It would be great to have an option to show/hide the criteria/header when printing to PDF.

Workpapers - PAYG Instalments section (issue with June CY on Balance Sheet rec)
On the Income Tax workpaper, the first section Tax Provision per P&L has a Less PAYG installments (sic) section.
Xero prefills the dates (e.g. for 2020 FY workpapers):
September 2019
December 2019
March 2020
June 2020All good so far, you can enter the PAYG Instalments that will be included on the tax return.

XPM - Default staff checkbox as ticked when allocated to a job
After the recent XPM change where a user can allocate staff to multiple jobs from the Jobs menu, the staff at the Task level are added but the checkbox is not ticked. This means that the staff member can see the job in their timesheet, but not the tasks associated with that job, so cannot book time.
Support have advised they are aware this has changed and do not have a solution to get around this currently, other than manually going into each job and filling the tick box for each staff member for each task. As we create and…

In XPM the client access options under staff permissions includes View, Edit, Create and Delete. Please also add Archive as an option.

Xero Practice Manager - Report on WIP control by manager or partner
We have a number of firm incentives for both partners and managers relating to their individual client portfolios. An ability to review their control of WIP, billings and receipts should not be a major effort. Or is Pulse the answer?

Reports - Include Check number field in Transaction Report
It would be nice to have a report where you show the Transaction Date, Account, Check Number, Description, Coding.
Currently the Check Number is not a data field that you can put into a report.

leads - Existing activities to auto allocate to owner
When we set up a new lead and allocate it to an owner, the activities should auto allocate to the owner, instead it is setting to the responsibility of the admin person setting up the lead resulting in additional time taken to reallocate each of the the activities causing unnessary time consumption

XPM - Include task start and due dates in job imports.
As XPM integrates with FYI workflow, and you can toggle between viewing a workflow by jobs or by task, it would be a massive help if when importing annual compliance job templates with pre-defined tasks, you can define the task start and due date as part of the import and not have to individually go through and update these once the jobs have deployed.
