  5. Allow for rules to be placed on what to do when data is missing or unable to be grabbed. Ideally for these to be linked by which supplier the order is from or even setting global rules

    Specific Ideas:
    -Setting a default Global Due by date when missing
    -Setting a specific stock line(s) to apply stock to by supplier
    -Setting not to overwrite cost price with default cost price in system.

  6. In the Bank Rules it would be very helpful to have a tick box that allows the full original description from the transaction in the bank, to be allocated when you reconcile the transaction.
    Much like the Set Reference as 'reference/description/etc' option but specifically to include the original transactions detail.

    E.g. Bank rule & contact would be: 'Pharmacy'
    - but the original description in is a transaction from 'Boots £3.50' or 'Superdrug £14.00' so when you apply the bank rule and you check the transaction in 'Account transactions' under the specific nominal (e.g. personal care), the description would say the…

  7. Instead of using spreadsheets, it would be very handy for Xero to have prepayment & accruals schedules built-in that act similar to the Fixed Asset function.

    For example, when you allocated a new invoice to the prepayment nominal, Xero would detect that transaction and add it to the schedule. At the end of the month, you access the Prepayment & Accruals screen, go to drafts, and fill out a form giving it the period with su[plier, start date, end date and number of days/weeks/months it lasts (this would determine how often a journal is created when ran).   8. ADD: Time tracking built into XERO for bookkeepers.

    Its a hard sell to move hundreds of bookkeeping accounts to xero when there is no way to track our time within a clients file.

    We are a large firm with 10,000+ tax clients and growing. We are trying to simplify time and billing, with over 1000+ bookkeeping clients spread out over half a dozen services and are trying to find more built-in solutions. I am quite surprised this isn't built into xero yet.

  10. Would like the ability to see Write-ons / Write-offs on the Invoices dashboard for Draft invoices to allow easier review of drafts.

    Alternatively some form of reporting that takes draft invoices into account vs billable time to see 'draft write-ons/offs'.

  11. It would be good to be able to run a report of all Xero clients that have unfiled STP, or be able to view at a glance on XeroHQ. This would assist in making sure clients are meeting their compliance obligations quickly rather than go into every client to look at the Payroll Overview.

  12. In other finance systems you can very easily process an invoice directly to the prepayments nominal, and then build the prepayment schedule in as well on a second screen. Ie the period for it be prepaid, how much each month and to which P&L nominal.

    Is there anyway that this can be introduced into Xero as an alternative to complicated Excel spreadsheets and journals

  13. Fix the top 2 ribbons (Client -blue & account- white) in Xero, so that you don't have to scroll back to the top to open another screen. Or have the ability to fix them. It is a lot of scrolling every client.

  14. NZ Tax - Can we get the ability to create a future period tax return using the current years format. We would still need to submit the return manually through the IRD. It would be much simpler to create a draft in Xero instead of using the PDF versions from the IRD.

  16. AUTOMATIC SUBMISSION OF A RETURN WITH THE "DEFERRAL" DATE ALLOCATED

    It is a critical feature on a system we transition from to XERO tax, to be able to allocate to a finalized return a deferred date for the submission. On such and such date, all returns with that date and tag then come up, and with a touch of a single button all go to the ATO at the same time.   19. Keep the Xero Classic Look everyone preferred.

    The design of the Job Manager page is sadly reminiscent of an excel spreadsheet.

    One of the enjoyments of the Xero software compared to its competitors are the fresh, clean pages that make it inviting to use. The Job Manager board is missing the 'attractiveness' that has been part of Xero's signature branding.

    Specifically black text, flat checkboxes, grey cell borders and grey column headers makes it feel like an outdated 1990s program.

  20. Sorting Draft Invoices by Job Type

    Every quarter we invoice a large amount of standard disbursement costs these all come from a particular job type.
    It would be great if we could sort by job type so we could bulk approve these invoices. Currently it looks to sort by job number. This means when I 'select all' I have to manually go through and untick the draft invoices that have another job type. I have tried to set a filter to only show text with 'Quarterly' which shows in the job type but this produces no results.
