XPM - Further Staff Access Options for Managing Invoices in XPM
At the moment, within XPM staff permissions, there is either full access for managing invoices (view, edit, create and delete invoices), or nothing. Staff should have access to view previous invoices for tax return preparation, but not necessarily the permission to edit, create or delete invoices. Would like more access granularity for this feature.

Xero Sign - Ability to set sender email
It would be great if clients can only see admin email (standard practice email) as a sender rather than staff emails as a sender. Example Invoice reply to standard organisation email rather than individual staff emails.

XPM - Link tasks in XPM and item codes in Xero
It would be great to have tasks within jobs (XPM) link to Xero Blue's item codes so that when importing bulk invoices, they can be allocated to a specific task/item code. This will allow for easy reporting both in XPM/Xero Blue.
Otherwise, it would be great to have an option to allocate a task to invoices in Xero Blue that links back to the relevant task in XPM, similarly to the way the Reference field works for jobs.

Xero sign - Simplify client login for signing documents
Improve the way clients can create accounts and log into an existing xero account.
If we create an account for them, it asks them to put in their organisation details. Then we invite the client into the organisation, they have to accept the invitation.
Clients are always having issues with their log ins, and signing documents. Feel this could be made easier for them.

Split Interim / Negative Cost allocation
For the purposes of monthly retainers - a way to offset an interim invoice (which in the invoicing module shows up as a negative cost) partially against time that's been raised in the system for WIP washup purposes.
Currently you can drill in to tasks to mark timesheets as future billing but you can not do the same on costs.Eg. Time on task = $500. Interim invoice (negative cost) = $1,000 want to offset the $500 and carry forward the remaining $500.

The ability to bulk transfer documents a client has uploaded in FILES section of Xero to Hubdoc so we can utilise the OCR and automation of documents into Xero better

Insert Property field on Activity
It would be a great help if you could insert a field into the activity page which includes the property address that the invoice is for, so that this would be clear which property the invoice relates to rather than having to go into each invoice to see which property it is for.
2 votesThanks for clarifying, Angela and apologies for the slow response. Atm, the Customer Invoice Activity report, or the Receivable Invoice Details report might be useful, where you can adjust the report to add your tracking categories as columns.

Workpapers - Ability to create confidential workpapers
Having the ability to create a separate set of work papers for the practice that is confidential and not visible to all users.

BAS - Allow connection where multiple practices connected
Ability to connect to connect to the ATO and lodge activity statements where connected to multiple practices.
We can lodge for clients we hold subscriptions for, but not for clients who self subscribe and grant us access.
Have been advised if you're connected to multiple Xero HQ practices with the same email address and you try to lodge activity statements in Xero with the ATO, you'll get the error message – SBR.GEN.AUTH.006. This is because Xero can't determine which practice you're lodging activity statements in.2 votes -

Is it possible to add a few extra columns to XPM - All jobs board rather than creating different reports or clicking on different jobs/pages to collate basic client information. I would like to add the following columns to assist with Trusts and Superfunds.
-Trustee/Company Name

Job Manager - Bulk Job Staff Allocation for New Employees
Since the creation of the new Job Manager, we are now unable to bulk add new staff members to staff allocations within a job.
You can bulk add the jobs, but then you need to manually do the job allocations for each job
When you have a new staff member and you want to assign them to 300 jobs, it would make it easier if we could do this in bulk rather than on a job by job basis.

Hubdoc - Include email header details (From, To, Subject, Date)
When an email is forwarded to Hubdoc, only the body of the email is captured (if you have that option ticked in the settings). We need the full email sent to Hubdoc captured in the document created by Hubdoc, ie please include the email fields FROM, TO, SUBJECT, DATE as well as the body of the email, ie the full email that was sent to Hubdoc. Often we have to reply to the email that has been sent and we only have access to the version sent to Hubdoc as the original email is often sent to the clients email…

Xero HQ | Clients - Bulk create financial reports for multiple organisations
Xero HQ Should have functionality to generate Ledger, profit and loss account and balance sheet for all the clients in one go under sitting under practice. This will help to understand clients business performance etc and will make peer comparison easier.

Change wording of Medicare Levy has it is a double negative. Change the wording to something like: how many days were you not covered by private health?

NZ Tax reports - Include "Tax Statement Balance" and "Payment Amount" fields
Open up report fields so that you can select the "Tax Statement Balance" Field as well as the "Payment Amount" field. This gives us the ability to compare what XPM has as due and what the IRD has as due without having to export and complete complicated Excel actions.
