  1. We are starting to utilise the Xero email function to push PDF attachments through to files, to then either raise a bill or spend money.

    For ease could it be possible to show the number of documents that need attention ie. Files (8) when we drop down on the client name?

  2. Ledger system for Company Financials

    I have just changed from Reckon Elite Practice Management to Xero Practice Management.
    EPM allowed me to enter data from GL summaries from clients various accounting software, prepare year end journals and generate Financial Reports etc.

    I've found the Financial Report templates in HQ but can only use for clients with Xero subscriptions.

    I would like to know what others are using for the above purposes if their client is not using Xero as their accounting software.

  3. The option to set the practice name as the sender for a query and not the Xero user. E.g. "Xero Accounting Group via Xero" and not "John Smith via Xero".

  5. My clients overpaid for BAS in previous quarter, results in CR amount on ATO portal.
    It could be great if I can add this CR amount when preparing next BAS in Xero so they can offset payable/refundable amounts.

  6. Currently all Xero advisor certifications expire in December which is a really busy time for accountants in the UK and it's nearly impossible to get everyone to recertify at this time.

    I think it would be welcomed by all accountants if this could be moved to our quieter season in February/March and I think as a result a lot more people would recertify.

  7. In a shareholders' resolution template e.g., to appoint new directors you currently cannot get rid of the line that says "For the month ended 30 September 2022" or "For the year ended 31 March 2022". I actually want to eliminate that entire line as the date is at the bottom with the signatures or at least have the ability to only have one day at the top of the report.

  8. Now that the Trust requirements have changed, is it possible to update the Client Relationships report. Accountants now have to provide the DOB and IRD numbers for the Trustees, Settlors and Beneficiaries. Currently, if I add the [client] tax number field and the [client] Date of Birth field, I get these fields for the original trust only, I need to get the [client relationship] tax number and DOB please.

    Create/ generate a single Tax Return Report on industry codes which includes: SMSF, Individuals, Sole Traders, Partnerships, Trusts etc.

    Currently we can only create separate reports for:
    - Individuals and Sole Traders
    - Companies

  11. Currently all ITR Notices of Assessment that come to Xero Tax with a variance are marked with an orange dollar sign ($).

    It would help with variance investigation and client contact if the variances were colour coded so that positive variances (those that increase a refund or decrease a payable) are in a blue $, while negative variances (those that decrease a refund or increase a payable) are in the orange $. I would suggest green, but green is often used for 'this has been assessed and confirmed' so blue is a good compromise.

    This will give a visual indication…

  12. Xero should be able to offer billing in other currencies as currently they are unable to bill Xero Practice Manager in SGD.

    I was advised by Xero support, that this is because they are part of their Global billing in Practice Manager, so it will automatically be billed in USD.

    However, their Xero Accounting invoices are billed in Singapore Dollars, so not too sure why similar principles don't apply?

  13. Have a master overview of Xero accounts from different offices.
    The offices administrators staff level can only see their own Xero clients unless added to the master overall practice.

  19. It would be fantastic to attach more than one file when publishing from Hubdoc to Xero! Often bills come with supporting documentation, such as contracts and/or receipts. It would be great to be able to attach these, as well as the original bill to be published.

  20. Have the ability to set a default bank account for e-invoicing for clients to pay into

    When an e-invoice is sent, it asks for the bank account to show on the invoice which takes time & there is a risk of selecting the wrong bank account.
