  1. Request ability for individual users to view their own time recorded under Business Menu without having visibility of all other practice users. There are custom reports you can build to report on time recording but the problem is you can't easily see the total time recorded per day for each staff member for the previous or current week, to check for any gaps. It's not ideal for monitoring time recording, whereas the view under Timesheets in the Business menu is much easier to see at a glance if any days are blank or short in time. However, it is not…

  2. Would be very helpful to have repeating tasks within a job. For example, if doing work for a client over the financial year there are a list of tasks every month. There is no effective solution when there are different staff assigned to different task within the client job. Repeating tasks with staff assigned for the year would allow you to keep track of what has been done & what still needs to be done for each month. (Monthly checklist for July, Aug, Sept,...)

    Currently the only solution is to have a set of tasks and un-tick these each month.…

  3. Hubdoc App. Can we have the ability to hide archived documents. Or create a separate tab similar to the web version. Another option is to make archived documents dim so clients are aware that the documents are processed and are in Xero.

  4. We would like to have the ability to either customise the Status fields in the Workpapers. Or alternatively have the client Group appear next to the Organisation Name on the main Workpapers page, so we can easily see the client groups.

  6. Would like the option to input IF fields into our tax returns like we can in Activity Statements. I have found I have so much more scope in editing my cover letters by putting in IF fields (eg IF the amount is payable, put in the line about the payment details. IF the due date is already past, replace the date with 'As soon as possible' etc)
    It would be great in general to see more functionality in the cover letters - especially more merge field options, IF fields, and other extra lines depending on certain criteria within the return…

  7. If you create a report in the custom tab rather than the adviser tab in error, it would be good to be able to either lock it so it has as restricted access to that custom report almost as though it's password protected (ie only the creator can see for example) or have the facility for it to be moved to the adviser tab to allow it to have restricted access to advisers only.

  8. Please revert the staff page back to the old format.

    What used to be able to be accessed all on one page, you now have to click through on to 10 different pages to access the same information, and then this involves scrolling through so much wasted "white space" as well.

    Why are you insisting on pushing through with these changes to your programs which actually make more work for the people that use them.

    And the consistent change to spread everything out so that you constantly have to scroll and scroll and scoll - why. Your need for so…

  9. An option to have uploaded files in Ask to be added to Files. Currently have to be downloaded and then uploaded again to Files. It would be more efficient to have the option to add directly to Files

  13. A % state by state breakdown of turnover is required for professional indemnity insurance policies for accountants. It would be great if Xero allowed us to do a report by state picking up the postcodes off the invoices.

  15. It should be possible to manually add tax payments made by a client to IRD. This is critical for a tax accountant like myself who is not a registered tax agent and therefore is unable to link and download details from IRD. This facility would make the practice manager more appealing to a wider range of users.

  16. I have 19 rental properties with 19 separate AT&T internet bills monthly. There needs to be a method within Hubdoc to automate publishing each receipt to a uniqueTracking Category each month. Right now it is all manual and very time consuming.

  17. We are currently reviewing our staff access, and have realised that it is currently a labourious process when a staff member only temporarily needs access to a ledger e.g. technical help, auditor access, to cover sick/holiday leave.

    It would be great to be able to set a time limit for access when staff or users when they are added e.g. 1 day, 1 week, 2 weeks, or on a given date. This would save practice managers having to keep note of when users needed to be removed and having to do that all manually.

  18. Currently we have to create GST/Tax returns one at a time for our entire list. It would be great if we can create gst returns on the gst jobs in one go so we don't miss any on the outstanding report.

  19. Would be good when using the Xero report templates that when net assets balances are negative that a Going Concern note is included in the accounting policies to the notes to the financial statements.
    This seems to be an automated process on most accounting packages that we have used but very much a manual process through Xero.

  20. Need the ability to be able to add a filter in the Returns page to look at a client group.

    Predominately will be used for bulk status updates, but I'm sure others could find more uses:

    • approval of a group (sometimes approval from each individual return is not appropriate)
    • "out to sign" once a pack is sent via FuseSign etc.

    Would also be useful for a quick snapshot of where the group is up to instead of having to run a report or open the taxable group to see.
