  1. I would like the payroll reports to be able to be sorted by first name or last name. I sue them for a number of reporting requirements with third parties and it would make it so much easier if I was able to do this.

  2. Report builder offers the ability to print PDF reports which is great but if needing to use these for external purposes, e.g. a timesheet detail report to supplement an invoice, the criteria/header portion currently has to be printed also. It would be great to have an option to show/hide the criteria/header when printing to PDF.

  4. In the XPM report builder, when a firm is working as a team based client and each team composed of several staff. It would be beneficial to have the option to include additional fields of the job manager and partner in the invoice report. Currently, we are only able to select the manager and partner at the client level.

    If this feature were added, it would enable the accurate generation of reports for each staff member who completes a job and track better if each staff has a KPI of a particular budget that he/she needs to reach each month.

  5. So, with the old Depreciation Schedule disappearing, the new Depreciation Schedule is our go-to report. However, there are some columns that I wish were selected by default that were present in the "old" report that contain the details we need. Because these are not the default, I am having to set these columns to be present in EVERY client that I manage (and then save as a Custom Report).

    I would like to see these columns added by default:

    Asset Number
    Purchased (ie: Purchase Date)
    Method
    Rate
    Closing Accum Dep

    Also, do we really need the "Private Use Amount" column…

  7. Could you please add the field “[Tax Return] Suspended Until” to the fields available when you write an “Income Tax Client – ITCRPT” report.

    This would allow a report of all clients we are ATO Agent for showing their tax return due date, status and suspended until date all on one report.

  8. Right now it's not possible to connect XPM to a google drive other than 'My Drive' for a Google Drive user. We hold all our client data on a separate Google workspace drive that is shared within the company and want to connect this client drive, so that tasks and clients on XPM can be linked to client folders or documents in the shared client google drive.

    Its not feasible to move those client folders from the shared drive to 'My Drive' in order to access these on Xero practice Manager, and instead we have to paste long link addresses…

  9. Primary issue:
    If the Accounting Firm wants to maintain control over a client's records and Xero integrations, then only one person can be the one that creates every client in HubDoc.

    Workaround proposed - and the related issue:
    - We were advised to create a dummy account for HubDoc to create the client files. This results in having to share a password - changing it frequently with staff changes.
    - This also is not feasible due to the 2-Factor Authorization requirements
    - This also creates a massive privacy breach risk for unauthorized access under PIPEDA (Canada) and PIPA (Alberta)

  10. On the Income Tax workpaper, the first section Tax Provision per P&L has a Less PAYG installments (sic) section.
    Xero prefills the dates (e.g. for 2020 FY workpapers):
    September 2019
    December 2019
    March 2020
    June 2020

    All good so far, you can enter the PAYG Instalments that will be included on the tax return.
    The final line FY20 Tax to pay/(refund) then agrees to the company tax return.

    The second section Balance Sheet Income Tax Reconciliation has a Less PAYG installments (sic) section.

  11. In the new job manager Adhoc jobs no longer appear in the all jobs list.

    As part of our Adhoc time review we would turn an Adhoc job into a regular job by changing the name, adding a budget, updating date etc. We have just done this for 50 jobs but they don't appear in the all jobs list.

    There needs to be a way to turn an adhoc job into a regular job. Creating a new job and moving time is an unnecessary step when an adhoc job appearance doesn't look any different to a regular job.

  18. AU Tax - Error notifications. When a return is rejected by the ATO and appears in the Error tab of the Returns section of Xero Tax, an email should be triggered to alert the tax agent so that the error can be rectified immediately.

    Totally understand how notifications of errors can improve efficiency and handling of returns in Xero Tax (AU). Thanks for all your input and sharing on this idea, everyone.

    While we have a few pieces of work underway atm, this is something our team are looking to develop. We're going to move this to Under Review and as we have more info and progress we'll return to share this with you all, here. 🙂

  19. For non-Xero clients, it would be very useful to be able to use workpapers and include the actual account balance from the Client's accounts, rather than displaying the Xero account balance as nil. As a practice, we use Xero workpapers, but not every single client uses Xero.
