Need ability to change background colour
I find the new homepage overwhelming and chaotic because I can't easily see where one section ends and another one starts. The abilty to change the background colour would change that or adding a border, like that which shows when editing the homepage.

Why only two rows?
Why can I only have two rows of things on the page? There's a lot of wasted vertical screen space on the page.

Collapsible groups
It would be great to group items under headers and collapse the group to give the home page more breathing room.
For example, when your team has multiple credit cards, I don't need to see them every day, but as an expandable/collapsible group, it would be helpful to have it easy enough to track when I need to.
The same could be said for bank accounts, etc.
If users could customise their groups, it would better align them with their business needs.

Improved layout and workflow efficiency
Vertical centric rather than horizontal centric layout preference needs to be possible.
I want to be able to see my accounts down the left hand side of the screen rather than across the top. Then I want to be able to distribute the other widgets to the right of these. With the current 'Edit Homepage' functionality, this is impossible.
The moving of widgets generally is very difficult to do, to get the desired layout. Very poor from the user experience perspective.

More options for resizing the boxes on the home page please
I want to see all the boxes on the home page and some of them are too big. Can you add some resizing tools to shrink down the cash in and out, invoices owed, bills to pay boxes to the smaller size so I can see them all at a glance please?

Homepage - View Notes for overpaid invoices
Critically important to our business is being able to easily view 'notes' on overdue invoices next to their overdue amount in a list. No additional click thorughs with each individual invoice number as is the current system.
Knowing when a reminder was sent and being able to view what their latest response was in a list form would massively help with managing unpaid invoices.
We create separate spreadsheets to track overdue invoices and bad debt which is inefficient.
This should be resolved with a quick view in the dashboard to ensure better debt management.

Add "View All Quotes" button to invoice widget.
Many of our customers require a quote before issuing us with a purchase order. The fastest way is to copy a previous quote, and to edit as required to create a new quote. If we could click on a button from the homepage rather than bring up Quotes from the sales list, it would save us much time.

Homepage - Widget for month end review
I love the new homepage and how I can customize to make it less busy. I also love the Task widget. It would be great if there was a month end review widget showing a list of bank and credit card accounts with the last reconciliation date.

Include items to review and draft items in the tasks widget.
Please can bills to review, invoices to review, expenses to review be included on the tasks widget. This was really clear in the old homepage design and now the things to do are hidden among all the bank accounts, which were previously grouped together nicely.

Homepage | Widgets - Ability to multiple states of the same widget
Allow duplicate widget tiles
For instance, allowing us to have a tile for 'Net profit and loss - year to date' AND a tile for 'Net profit and loss - last quarter' etc. without having to switch the one 'Net profit and loss' from year to date to last quarter.
Also being able to specify a 'tracking category' for any given tile would allow us to separate PnL at a glance without having to go through the reporting to do so.

Homepage | Chart of Account Watchlist - Only show accounts with a balance
Chart of Accounts Watchlist
I would like it to only show some accounts if their balance does not equal 0
Rather than reporting it when the account is 0 and just occupying space.This would be useful for Wages Payable, Superannuation Payable, Suspense accounts and various other accounts

Homepage - View and access classic expenses
Atm the New Expenses Widget does not show any of the old/archived expense claims. My current widget is totally empty and in order to access the previous claims or even the claims that are currently outstanding, I need to revert to Classic Expenses. Only the claims submitted using the New Expenses will be visible on my Dashboard, at least this is what I hope. I believe the 2 should be talking to each other.
4 votesHi everyone, we appreciate some customers are still using Classic expenses, however we want to be open, there are no plans to develop a widget in the new Homepage for Classic expenses.
You will still be able to access Classic Expenses by clicking Purchases > Expenses, where organisations that are using Classic expenses will see a banner and can select to go to Classic Expenses.

be easier to view outstanding amounts
I would rather have a list of outstanding invoices (names and amounts) on the dashboard instead of a graph with the totals owed. (same layout as the recently paid invoices list which i have removed completely as its not necessary)

Colour options for homepage
Colour options for bank accounts & credit cards so they are easily identifiable. i.e my client uses different banks with different feeds, would be great to have some colours.

Expenses to review/pay not showing in task list
When I add the "expenses to review" widget to the homepage, this shows the expenses that are needing approval, and how much is to be paid.
At the moment I have all my expenses reviewed, and some that now need payment. Why is this information also not replicated in the "Tasks" widget?
What is the point of a "Tasks" widget if it doesn't summarise all the needed actions highlighted across all the selected/displayed widgets? At the moment the listed tasks appear to only summarise a few widgets (and even then regardless of whether those widgets are selected to be shown…

Task list - Bank Feed status warnings
Task List - Add "Refresh/Renew Bank Feed" warnings to the task list (limited to banks shown on the dashboard to prevent unnecessary warnings on old accounts). The task list is incredibly useful and for my own Homepage, I have moved the bank accounts to below the rest of the tables to try to maximise the usefulness of the homepage. This makes the warnings less visible.
