  1. I would rather have a list of outstanding invoices (names and amounts) on the dashboard instead of a graph with the totals owed. (same layout as the recently paid invoices list which i have removed completely as its not necessary)

    Thanks for he feedback here, team. Atm we don't have any plans for surfacing your outstanding invoices as a list within the widget, however we appreciate feedback we've received around the graph and our team are working on some sizing updates that would enable you to remove the graph on both the Invoices owed to you and Bills to pay widgets. You can stay updated on this work through the idea here.

    Thanks for your feedback, Paul. Good to hear the different details that our customers would find most helpful at a glance. While we don't have plans for adding a recently paid bills widget like the invoices one just at this time we'll start to track interest in this here and I'll update you if there's any news.

  3. Hi we really need the homepage Bills widget to display bills due for payment TODAY.

    We receive a lot of bills and we pay them on the due date.

    Currently it is not easy to find bills due today among all the bills awaiting payment.

    The widget displays overdue bills, it could easily show shows due today so we can easily display and pay them.

    Appreciate your feedback, and explaining how viewing bills due today from the homepage would help your business, Rick.

    Right now we're watching all feedback we're getting about the new Homepage closely. We'll get a sense of the community interest for this here and share if there are any updates. Thanks

  4. There should be a widget that shows current bank balance, that includes future payments. The current one only shows bank statement balance, and balance in Xero that only shows up to the current date. But when paying bills, it's nice to know the current balance after other future payments to have a full idea of cash flow available. This widget should then also follow through to the bills pages so I can pay bills and see my balance in real-time to make better plans of which and when bills should be paid.

  5. In the old version I had an additional column where I could see invoices owed for "last week". This has now been removed and all invoices for last week are in the "older" column. I would like this column back as I found it very useful. I would need to be able to resize the widget in order for this to fit on my screen because there is so much white space to the right of my laptop screen that this widget is cutting off slightly to the right.

  6. Please put back the full Watchlist view. The idea of a watchlist is to be able to see at a glance what accounts we need to keep a watch on. It's not 'at a glance' if the list isn't in full view and we have to scroll down.
    Also, please remove the advertising and banners that clutter the homepage.

    Appreciate the feedback, Carol. Can see how if you've selected a large list of accounts to keep on your watchlist how scrolling the widget could be frustrating.

    I want to be honest that we don't have any plans for extending out this widget further atm, however we'll start to get a sense of the interest from your idea here and I'll share if there are any updates.

  7. Add employee homepage calendar to main homepage as a widgets. You have no idea how many employee birthdays i have missed and that would solve that problem!!!! Sounds like an easy one

  8. Ability to choose favourite apps and add them either to the top menu bar or the homepage. It will turn 2 clicks into 1 click which seems picky but when launching hubdoc often it would really speed things up

    Thanks for sharing, Andrew. Good to know the use you'd find in being able to add an app to your homepage directly for ease of access.

    Lets get a wider sense of the interest in this from community here. I'll let you know if there are any plans made.

  9. What a ridiculous page the new layout is. I tried to add a new bill to Xero, I went back to the NEW layout Bills to pay - nothing added, I tried again still nothing. I have to scroll down to find the draft bills at the bottom of the widget. More efficient NO, time consuming YES what a waste of space this new layout is. Wouldn't you think you'd have the Draft bill under the ones already approved not way down at the bottom. It's the same with the Invoices waiting for payment they are right at the bottom.…

    Appreciate hearing your feedback on this here, Tania. I can assure you our teams did a lot of testing with all aspects of the homepage prior to it's rollout however we totally understand there are different views of what information would be most valuable, where. This is exactly the type of thing we're keen to hear and understand the appetite of through product ideas.

    Just to confirm for everyone coming across this idea - While slightly changed in terms of placement it's possible to view Drafts for Invoices and Bills in their related Invoices owed to you, or Bills to pay widgets.

    This is now found beneath the graph where you can click the 'x' drafts text to go straight to the list of draft invoices (or bills) - see image

    We don't have any immediate plans for changing the placement of the Drafts link within the Invoices owed to…

Allow 2 categories of Cash Out since i am a sole trader and my drawings are included in cash out so the widget is useless if i cant either exclude drawings or split cash out between Busienss Cash Out and Owner Drawings Cash out. Just keep the Cash out bar but split into two colours so that you can see Cash out Business and Cash out Drawings.

    Hi Mike, thanks for sharing how adding your own branding to the dashboard would make Xero feel more like an extension of your business. It’s easy to understand why having a personalised interface could make client meetings or daily work feel more cohesive.

    Currently, the logo uploaded in Organisation Details appears on outgoing documents, but if you also upload a logo via Invoice Settings, Xero will use that logo instead. While it doesn’t yet show on the internal dashboard, I’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support so we can track interest and show our product teams how much a personal touch here would improve your experience.

  15. Quotes Need a bit of work, You've just added ability to generate a link - that's great, however, still can't share quote in the app.

    While creating a quote for a new customer - you can't add any of their details (but you can if you create an invoice), you have to create new customer first then go back to creating a quote, we have a lot of new customers just walking in.

    Often we'll start on an Invoice Page and we can't just change that invoice to quote once it's started. Is it possible to change invoice to quote…

    Hi Adam, thanks for sharing this idea. We can see how needing to leave the Quotes screen to update a phone number or address interrupts your momentum.

    At the moment, the option is to create a basic contact and then update their details from the Contacts menu afterward. While that works, we understand that being able to enter or edit everything in one place would make the process smoother.

    I’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support so we can track interest and highlight to our product teams how in-screen editing could simplify the quoting workflow.

    Hi everyone, thanks for bringing this idea to the community! Having an “Income in Advance” widget right on the dashboard would give you an instant view of your future revenue, helping you see your financial position without extra clicks.

    At the moment, this usually means running specific reports or manually calculating deferred income, which can slow down your daily workflow. In the meantime, you can run the Cash Flow Manager, which shows projected cash in and out, or keep a starred Balance Sheet or custom tracking report in your Favorites for quicker access.

    I’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support so we can track interest and show our product teams how helpful this visibility would be for managing cash flow.

  17. New layout is great now I've got used to it. I do miss the Tax and Reporting box where I had quick links to useful items such as VAT return, CIS return. Could you add this as an optional widget on the new dashboard please? Thanks.

    Hi Andrea, appreciate your sharing on how having a “Tax and Reporting” shortcut on the dashboard would make accessing tax returns and key reports quicker and simpler. Navigating through multiple menus can slow things down, especially when deadlines are looming.

    In the meantime, you can access your VAT return directly from the Tax menu on the navigation bar for quicker access.

    Hi Steven, we can see how having a “Refresh” button right on the dashboard bank widget would make checking your accounts faster and more straightforward.

    Currently, you need to open the full Bank Accounts menu or wait for the daily automatic update. We’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support so the product team can understand how this small change could save time and keep your workflow smoother.

  19. Shortcut to add recurring invoice via a simple UX - just add a drop down next to the 'New invoice' button. Similar to what you already have in the Sales overview page.

    Hi everyone, thanks for sharing this idea! We can see how having a “Create Repeating Invoice” shortcut right on the dashboard would make managing recurring invoicing faster and more seamless.

    Currently, you navigate through the Invoices menu to reach the Repeating tab, which adds extra steps. I’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support so our product teams can track interest and understand how much this shortcut could help streamline regular invoicing.

  20. The new Dashboard can be huge and challenging to navigate if you have multiple bank accounts. It will be helpful to have a section with ALERTS at the top of the page.

    Hi everyone, thanks for sharing this suggestion! We can see how having the "Items to Reconcile" alerts visible while scrolling would make daily bookkeeping faster and more seamless. It’s all about helping you stay on top of your work without extra clicks or screen-jumping.

    For now, you can use the 'Bank Accounts' widget or the Tasks widget to see if there's any items to be reconciled, but we know a persistent global bar would make this even easier.

    I’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support to get more perspective from the community, so we can show our product teams the value this would bring.
