XPH | Navigation - Reports on the main bar
Reports is now buried under Practice, can we please have it back on the main blue bar. We use it a lot and now there is more clicks. It would be amazing if we could edit the bar ourselves - what we find important might be different for someone else. Like settings, can we have a settings cog on the blue bar - maybe near the profile?
Hi team, thank you for feeding back to us about the selection of reports on the navigation with us here.
For the time being we're continuing to track interest in having reports as a top level menu but this is not something we have direct plans of.
With regards to the favourite of reports in the new Xero Partner Hub. I recently provided an update on this idea - Our team have made an improvement so you can now Favourite reports from your My reports tab of the Practice reports builder and these'll appear within the Favourites section of the Practice drop down menu.
Similarly, if you previously favourited reports in the old experience these should now be showing from the Practice drop down.

Yes absolutely. I use them every day and know how to look for my starred (favourite) reports. We have heaps of reports so time consuming to filter my way through to what I am looking for. The favourites should definitely have its own main heading

it always amazes me how Xero can make such a great program, then bring out 'improvements' that are actually a few steps backwards...
it also amazes me how Xero has this 'product ideas' section for customer (and user) feedback but with the exception of a few minor ideas, nothing gets done... starting to wonder what the point was?

Yes, I noticed only a few in my list, I thought I was going nuts. Please give us back the flexibility to use favorites how we like.

I can see the favourites however it is very limited and only six are visable. I have a large number of reports that myself and similiar colleagues use daily and would like to be able to see ALL my favourites. I would really love to see the reports back on the Top menu bar if you cant add more favourites to my view.

It would be amazing if we could edit the menu bar to suit ourselves - that would be a huge improvement.
Often Xero 'improves' things by making us click more (e.g. Xero Files recent release (it wasn't broken))- this is not an improvement.

I find it astonishing that there are no plans to put reports on the top menu bar... but thanks for getting the team to at least add Favourite reports to the drop down under Practice.
Please could they move it futher up the menu - I rarely use an of the other options on that dropdown and neither do my team. But we use reports multiple times a day.

Favouriting reports seems to do nothing. Now it takes a lot longer to get to the reports I need, rather than having them readily available in the menu. This seems like a backwards step.
The massive time summary doesn't do anything for me, and the way we view jobs isn't the way that is presented (eg we've got a lot of onboarding appearing here, which isn't useful in any way).
Being able to add reports to the home screen could be a really useful widget.

Sorry nothing I have seen on the new front page is helpful. e.g. Took me ages to find the setting to update the tax notice dates. Even to get to the timesheets is more clicks.

Also, the starred reports list is also no longer there. This made finding the right report really easy - now i have to go thorugh all the reports to get the one i need

Hi all, I also agree with this, I use reports all the time and it quite a lot more clicks to get there now. Thanks!

We're with you Glennis... the new layout has added extra clicks for something that our team use multiple times a day.
I'm not too concerned about reports being under the Practice tab, but we really want to be able to favourite reports so it's only two clicks and we don't have to wait for a list of reports to load to then select the report we want to use.

Reports is now buried under Practice, and for custom reports, I can't find my favourites, so have to go to the second options, then find them.
Can we please have both standard and custom back on the main blue bar under Reports? We use it a lot and now there is more clicks.
It would be amazing if we could edit the bar ourselves - what we find important might be different for someone else. Like settings, can we have a settings cog on the blue bar - maybe near the profile?
