Clients - Search using TFN or ABN
We are not able to search for clients (whilst in the Clients tab) using TFN or ABN.
We are also not able to search using client's TFN or ABN when using Global Search.
TFN and ABN are unique search identifiers and will return the correct client every time.

Hi team! Pleased to share that search via TFN and ABN are now both possible from the Client list 😁
Just to note around the ABN search - this is driven from the ABN in your clients org. So, if your clients organisation has an ABN this client will show in the results when searching the ABN number from the client list. Thanks again for your feedback and support in this idea here.

MYOB only supply the ABN when we are doing the download list for clients that require their BAS to be completed.
Xero does not have this list at all. So, we still using MYOB alot. And because we have so many clients, we do the BAS for I need this list. -

Yes please, as vital with so many similar names and time poor. Might not seem like much to open each one with the similar name to double check but it is.

Also searching the combination of First Name and Surname won't generate any results if a middle name exists.

Please reintroduce the ability to search a client using their TFN / ABN in XPM as this has been removed in the recent update released 5/12/2025
