Globally, how much time could be re-claimed by businesses being able to automate repetitive tasks! As a cloud platform you are supposed to be agile. If you dont value passing time savings over to your customers, perhaps we should be looking to work with vendors that do.

Sadly lack of progress (or comment) on seemingly easy fix ideas appears to be path of the course for Xero ...!

I sent statements on a weekly basis ait would be time saving if these could be automated.

Please add this feature. invoice reminders is good but we have high volume low value clients , which could mean 100+ invoice reminders being sent out - when what we need is one statement.

@Craig Vickers - couldn't agree more - good way of looking at it, I always thought they were kissing the backsides of accountants and bookkeepers being their main sales channel but a defective product opens up an ecosystem with a rake.

I am starting to have second thoughts about xero after migrating 2 years ago, i am small business and need to free up my time from admin.
why is this not standard item, i thought xero was an accounting, invoicing software ??
"Always send (even if balance is £0)"
"Send when there are 30+ day invoices"
"Send when there are 1+ day invoices"

I would love to have stetements sent automatically once an invoice becomes overdue or at month end. Currently you only have reminders

Critical addition to Xero for our business. Our customers wont pay off invoices and always request statements but currently it takes up way too much admin time.

Welcome to the annoying business model of SAAS apps. Xero has such a big hole in their product that they create an opportunity for someone to develop a solution to fill that hole. Stately. Stately, as a Xero Partner, pays Xero a percentage of their revenue. So now, Xero will not spend the time and money to fix the hole because they are making money off of Stately.

It is very short sided on Xero's part to keep operating this way. If we have to use so many bolt ons to get a complete product, you are opening the door for us to switch to a more modern application that does not have the same inadequacies. Please do better Xero. But being that this request was started nearly 10 years ago, I guess we just switch to a better application.

Kelly, what's the progress on such a fundamental accounting package function?

There are so many improvements in AI coding now days, how is this not something that has been rolled out as part of New Invoicing? Reduce manual workload please! Please add a recurring statement option for us like recurring invoices.

Today, a customer has asked to be sent monthly statements, a very reasonable request, which they have a right to feel entitled to. What WE don't want is to have to do this manually, so let me add my voice to the many, many I see here - DO IT PLEASE XERO!

Why is this basic function not included?

Is there any update on automatic statements for customers one of our requests it every month to reconcile and make a payment. If you can send out Invoice reminders surely the auto statement function is just as easy if not easier?

Have needed this for so long. Team has to manually download them and send every month. If we forget we don't get paid. Extremely annoying! Would really appreciate if Xero could build in automation on this - even as simple as a check box on the automated invoicing that says 'automatically send statement with invoice'. That's all we need.

Why is this on the backburner? Is it to protect apps like Stately?

I agree that automatic statements are basic functions for an accounting software - that neither the practice and or its clients should pay for.

Zoho allows one to attach a statement to an invoice when one sends out an invoice - surely Xero should follow suit in this regard.
