Invoicing - Show Delivery Address on invoices by default
Enable the option for invoices to by default display both billing and delivery addresses.
Hi everyone, thanks for all the context you’ve shared on how this impacts your workflows. We understand how a simple in-product setting for showing delivery address on an invoice would improve efficiencies for you all here.
Currently, the best option remains to insert the ContactPhysicalAddress merge field/s with the use of an advanced invoice template.
However as part of a larger piece of work we’re doing to develop multiple addresses per contact within invoices, this is an idea we’ll be solving for.
We can’t provide definite timeframes but will shift to In development and share further news as it progresses with you all here!

Your invoice template is woefully inadequate and clearly "designed" by someone who never actually sends invoices. ALL invoices should include a box for the delivery address by DEFAULT. The delivery address should be entered MANUALLY for EACH INVOICE. It should NOT be part of the contact information because most business customers have multiple sites or different customers they want to deliver to and it is obviously stupid to have to keep changing this in the account details.

Why is it that whenever I discover a feature of xero that could be useful for us, I then find it is missing critical parts thereby rendering it useless? You have been around long enough to have learned how accountancy works by now, you cannot use the excuse that you are "just a start-up". Why do your invoices not show the delivery address? Why can I not manually enter a delivery address on to an invoice? Why do the notes from the Quote where I have put the delivery address as a workaround for your primitive system, not transfer to an invoice? This is 2026, you really should be better than this by now.

Hi Xero,
I wanted to submit some feedback regarding delivery addresses on invoices.
Currently, in Xero, the delivery address can only be displayed on an invoice by manually ticking the box within each invoice. This works fine for invoices created individually, but in our case, we import all of our invoices rather than creating them one by one. Manually ticking the box for each imported invoice would be extremely time-consuming.
It would be very helpful to have an option in the customer profile where we could tick a box once, indicating that all invoices for that customer should automatically include the delivery address. This would save a lot of time and streamline the invoicing process, especially for high-volume users like us.
Thank you for considering this suggestion, I hope it can be added to future updates.

Commenting so hopefully this gains some transaction.
We need this feature ASAP please- the docx template doesn't have full functionality with Stripe/credit card payments and frankly is a faff.
Delivery addresses should be automatically applied.

So, we are seeing the scenario that when the Delivery address is the same as the Billing address, the Delivery address shows up on the Invoice. However, when the Delivery address is different from the Billing address, the Delivery address is omitted from the invoice. Why is this? We are getting some confusion with our customers.
The fix above doesn't work, either.
Also, your "advanced invoice template" link is broken in your support answer.

Hey Xero, this is so basic that it is criminal this is not available. Having a switch on a contact to enable both Invoice + Delivery address on a invoice is critical. A switch is critical because some customers will always have the same delivery and invoicing address. However, some don't, and some customers want additional information in the invoicing area for their own accounting reasons. Xero please get this sorted - it cannot be hard.

We are ideally looking for it to be possible for the delivery address to pull through from the initial quotation to invoice. This would stop the address having to be manually updated twice!

The contact details that show when invoicing are the mailing address, currently we do not have a packing slip option and this makes if difficult to process for sending - can it be an option to select which address you choose or each contact or have the shipping details showing on the invoice template to allow for shipment processing.
