Invoicing - Add another Status under Paid | Paid Awaiting Pickup
Please add a tab in the invoices category for "Paid Awaiting Pickup".
Right now under invoices there is a tab for "All", "Draft", "Awaiting Approval", "Awaiting Payment", "Paid" and "Repeating". Our business often has invoiced paid but the customers have not picked up their products. When they come in we have to search to see if what they are picking up has been paid for. A tab for "PAID AWAITING PICKUP" would really help.

Bills - Lock the Attachment preview section when scrolling up and down invoice lines
Attached preview window to stay in locked screen on the Left, with line items to be on the right on a scroll screen. Because if you add attachments to work from, the screen will be ready to view from the top left and if you have more than 20-line items inputted and you're working from the bottom. You can't see what the attachment is to work from. Look at pictures to see the mark up of issue. This issue is same as the bills. Invoices and quotes
We do very detailed quotations that are done from our quote / costing sheets. These are then sent as a PDF to clients. It would be really helpful if these PDF could be uploaded like a bill to Xero quotes and invoices.

Repeating Invoice - ability to add End Date BEFORE the next invoice date
To be able to add an end date to a repeating invoice which is before the "next invoice date". Often clients do not receive notice that a repeating invoice will not be due until after the latest invoice has been sent. They don't want to delete the repeat invoice so they can see a history of previous repeats. Currently can't set an end date that is before the "next posting date".

Invoice - Reference default set to contact account number
I would like to be able to check an option that automatically adds the accout number to the reference field on invoices. This would save a lot of time.
I'm sure there would be options that people would like ot autofill this field so make ot part of the settings4 votesAppreciate the feedback and how this would be useful when your reference is driven off the contact's account number.

Statements - Remove the Red ink from overdue
I would like to be able to select a covering statement email as the red box with overdue payments is really annoying our scholars. They see this and think it is the amount they owe. Most of our scholars pay in small instalments this is highly confusing for them. If we had a choice of an alternative template it would be really useful. I have written to support and there is not currently an option for this. Their reply is below for you info.

Invoicing - Send multiple invoices to a custom email address
Currently, in order to send multiple invoices at once, each invoice has it's own email address box to enter the recipient's email, there is no selection available to send multiple invoices to a custom email address in one click.
This would be most helpful, especially when multiple invoices are required to go to a different email address (from the default contact email). At the moment this means entering a different email into each individual address box, even if this means entering the same email up to 50 times for each invoice selected.

Invoice Import - Display warning for new contacts being created
Our practice makes use of Xero's ability to import invoices to do monthly utility billing and have found Xero's feedback notice / confirm import page to be VERY useful.
On this page Xero notifies us if
- any invoices will not be imported due to errors
- invoice number already exists
- any item descriptions and/or prices differ from the Xero org's listed products and servicesUnfortunately, it does not notify the user if any new contacts will be created on confirmation, as imported invoices automatically create a new contact if a matching one does not exist.

Customer Statement - Total payments
Customer statements - will Xero enable the functionality to present payments received by customers as 1 line item? We want to see the total payment amount on the statement - not allocated to each invoice as it is currently.

Payment Services - Ability to set Zip fee to be added on top of invoice amount
Please add option in Xero Payment Services to pass Zip transaction fees to customer on top of my invoice amount. At least most of the invoice amount will be paid to me.
Like Stripe card payment service, pop-up could prompt payee to accept the fee on top of invoice amount. The 5-8% zip fee is too high to absorb for my sole trader businesses.

8 votesHi everyone, though we appreciate you raising this idea with us, we don't have any intentions of supporting surcharging of Zip fees to customers from Xero invoices - There are some BNPL providers that have "no-surcharge" as part of their clauses, Zip being one of these. You can read more on their payment terms on Stripes website.

Invoices - Keep cursor focus where the user clicks during page load
When opening an invoice the cursor reverts to the Contacts field after a few seconds (after fully loading, presumably) so when I've clicked in a different field, by the time the Invoice is ready to accept changes, the cursor has flicked back to Contacts. It's such a time waster - either waiting on the invoice to load or re-typing everything again in the correct field. It doesn't happen in Quotes so can it not happen in Invoices?

Keeping the active field selected where the user clicks, rather than defaulting back to the Contact field, would help maintain a more consistent entry experience.

Linking timesheets approved by the client to invoice generation
The clients that I provide services to seek as supporting documentation a timesheet that has been signed off by an authorised representative of the client. At the moment I use an excel spreadsheet to do this then manually generate an invoice on the total agreed hours. It woud awesome to have feature where you prepare a timesheet in xero, xero sends a link to the approver to sign the timesheet then xero pulls the hours into a invoice + any agreed expenses (with supporting invoices and signed off timesheet)

Malaysia E-Invoicing - Embed Validated QR code on invoice PDF
1st) I suggest on embedding the Validated QR code to the normal PDF invoice so that we can print multiple invoices at one go and our normal PDF invoice also consists of banking details and credit terms whereas the Validated E-Invoicing has none of these.
2nd) I suggest on putting "Send to MyInvois" button instead of copy and paste the e-mail MyInvois@invoi.ci for every invoice. This is too troublesome.
3rd) Regarding the Invoice interface on the Sent Column, perhaps can Xero make it into two instead? One is for the Validated E-Invoicing & the other one is for customer. The…

Invoice - Allow customers to set up a Direct Debit mandate while completing a GoCardless Instant Bank Payment
I would like to take our first payment via Go Cardless Instant Bank Payment and send them a mandate to fill in for future recurring monthly payments.
We have our first invoice for customers purchasing a subscription from our website set to instant bank pay, so that they can pay immediately and be given site access immediately, but they will then make future payments by Direct Debit.
Via GoCardless directly, If you invite a new customer to collect an instant bank payment, you need to check the box for the option Set up mandate (Prompt this customer to set up…1 voteHi Stephen, thanks for raising this idea. The idea is to combine these steps into a single checkout flow, allowing customers to make their first payment while also authorising future Direct Debit payments without needing to complete a separate setup process.

Invoicing - Update contact with email used when sending
Under the old invoicing, when an invoice was emailed to a client for the first time, the email address used for that first invoice automatically populated the Contact card's email address at the time the invoice was sent.
This meant that if the invoice was unpaid, the reminder would be able to go to the same person who received the invoice.
However the new invoicing doesn't automatically populate the Contact's email address.
This means an extra step is needed to ensure the Contact card is updated.
If this step isn't taken, then the automated reminders don't go out.

Right now, if you send an invoice to an email that’s not already linked to a contact, you’ll need to add that email manually in Xero. The current setup is designed to be flexible so you can send invoices to multiple emails without changing the contact record. But we can definitely see how this feature would speed things up for you.

New Invoicing - Move Save button to bottom of invoice like classic
Please move the SAVE for the New invoicing to the bottom as per old invoicing. When you have an invoice with 30-50 items and then have to scroll back up to save it adds to the pressure of getting things done.
Or Better still
Leave the old there until you've got it together and your Paid subscribers are happy.

Invoicing - Remove credit card logos from invoice PDF
For businesses that only leverage ACH bank transfers as a form of payment, allow users the ability to remove all credit card logos from the invoice. It's not currently possible to remove the Visa and Mastercard logos from your invoices, when using Stripe as a payment service.

Multicurrency - SGD Conversion Box for GST Compliance in Foreign Currency Invoices

It's clear this is a feature many of you would like to see in Xero, and we really appreciate you sharing your feedback. For now, it is possible to use the Reference field to include the SGD value of the transaction. We’ve reviewed this idea and while we can see the value it would bring, it's not currently on our short-term development roadmap. We'll be keeping an eye out for more interest (votes), as these are a key factor in helping us decide what we build next.

New invoicing | Send - Remove invoice amount from email
Please remove the invoice amount from the "New Invoicing"
This should be optional for set templates like the classic invoicing where you could turn it off and on. It doesn't look great and prefer the older layout of the emails where you could control the layout more.
