Invoice - Show delivery address under business name
In the Standard Invoice template - the delivery address currently shows in the middle column, rather than under the name of the business. This is confusing if a business has multiple locations, with one centralised billing address. It means that the centralised billing office can't easily see which location the invoice is for/items were delivered to.
It would be better to show the delivery address under the name of the "To" so it's obvious which location the items were delivered to with the name and the corresponding details of address and contact person.6 votes -
Customer Statements - Totals for each column
It would be useful to look at an activity statement to see how much a certain contact has been invoiced regardless of whether they have paid or not. At present, I can only see outstanding balances.

Nab BookKeeper Intergrations
Intergrating with Nab Bookkeeper
1 voteHi Zachary, appreciate you sharing your feedback on how you'd find Xero even more powerful for your business.
Being upfront we don't typically develop integrations ourselves. However we have a Developer Centre where interested parties can get information if they'd like to develop an integration with Xero.
I'd recommend connecting with Nab bookKeeper to see if this is something they'd be interested in building and you're welcome to share the link above.

New invoicing | Email template - show as tax inclusive
EMAIL DESCRIPTION OF INVOICE-SHOW GST INCLUSIVE PRICE-When selected "Include action to online and detail summary" for the email template, the email that is sent shows a description of the attachment (invoice) in the body of the email, but it has each item GST EXEMPT then the GST is listed at very bottom. It iss very confusing for some customers.

New invoicing | Send - Rich text editor format
Please change the editor in the email copy, when sending an email & creating an email template, to a rich text editor. It would be useful to be able to bold/highlight particular lines especially when invoices are late & reminders are being sent
23 votesHi team, I know it's been some time since we last updated this idea and want you to know that we're still keeping a close watch on the support for formatting in invoices here
As shared in my last update, currently you can add basic html formatting to your emails to bold, add italics or underline text within the invoice emails you send to customers.
- Bold = and
- Italics = and
- Underline = and
You can see my attachment below that shows an example of how these can be added and the side by side email preview that'll reflect how this is shown in your email.
Right now, this isn't something we have plans for changing but will be sure to share an update if there's any progress. Thanks

New Invoicing - Option to turn off the "Add contact's last items"
- Because I will NEVER use this button, so it's just another box I have to TAB through (seriously worried about getting OOS with all the tabbing I have to do now...)

Payments - Autofill for writing cheques/payments to the same Payee/supplier
When writing Cheques or payments would it be possible for an auto infill/ recall of the previous payment made to the Payee/Supplier, this would save time if the details are always the same and only the amount may vary, it would ensure that the correct/same account is always used giving consistency.
Should any of the details differ then these can be input as currently but an auto infill would save me an awful lot of time as I don't have a bank feed to all the bank accounts I oversee.6 votesAppreciate it's been some time since you originally started this idea, John - Just to confirm what you're asking here. Would this be when adding a manually applied payment to a bill? Or when reconciling in the bank account?

Invoicing / Quotes - Omnipresent 'Save' button
Please make the “Save Button” omnipresent, so it hovers/tracks the page and wherever the user is working, while building Quotes & Invoices...
I keep having to scroll up to the very top of the page, in order to hit “Save” - and found when moving too fast, i can accidentally skip back, losing changes, and then having to start again.

Payment service - Ability to test stripe integration
Allow Xero to connect to a Stripe Test account, so we can create a temporary Xero account and test the Stripe integration, knowing completely what it will do with other integrations, how to train staff and manage edge cases of transactions.

Quotes - Add delivery address to quote
Thank you for adding the ability to show both invoicing and delivery addresses on an invoice.
Please may you add the same functionality to the quotes? And as a follow on, if this option is selected at the quote stage, continue this onto the invoice as well when it is created.
Thanks.

20 votesHi team, we appreciate the idea raised here and can understand how this could help with customer visibility and file management. Being open this isn't something we have plans for right now but will continue to keep a pulse on the support for this here and share if there are any plans made.

Statements screen - Add invoice number
When showing a list of statements to send (from Business - Invoices - Send Statements) from Send Statements, can the invoice number be shown on the screen so sorting can be done on invoice number. Also the date of the invoice would be handy as well to give an idea of when first looking at the front screen as to how old they are. It would make choosing and sending quicker and more efficient.

Invoicing - Longer Reference field
It would be better is the invoice reference could allow for input of longer names, without scrolling, so it's all on one line on the invoice.
Currently, the invoice number character length and the invoice reference character length are the same, which seems odd, as usually the invoice number is just a few characters, but the invoice reference can be long (project name, case name etc)14 votes -

New invoicing - Default quantity of 1 for invoice lines
In the New Invoicing Template you have to enter a Qty for every line as the default Qty is "0"... In the classic version and what we are all used to it's "1".. As a ball park guess I'd say the use of Zero qty on a line is a lot less common than any other number from 0-9 and I'd guess most lines are a qty of x1.. If I wanted to default my qty's to Zero, I can not see the point in making invoices :)))) Come on who made Zero a default qty for invoicing??
