Hey team 😊 happy to come back to share that this work is now underway with our product team as they begin development for managing files within Xero Payroll.

We really value the feedback we've received from you all in this idea, which has helped inform our teams approach to developing a solution that will fit majority of needs.

I'll return to share as we get nearer to release with more information on what this looks like including where and how you'll be able to attach files in Payroll.

    This would be extremely beneficial to upload employee contracts.

    I agree with wanting this capability in Xero - to be able to attach relevant documents for an employee.

    Add Documents, such as emails, Employment Contract, etc. to an Employee Card. It is quite often that an employee will send an email with specific instructions, and whilst there is an area to write a note, the space is limited. If the email could be uploaded, it can be referred to at a later time when everyone has long forgotten what the instructions were.

    I also agree as when it comes time for Auditing we need to know what the reimbursements where for.

    this would be great! as well as a spot on the time sheet - or even ability to attached document to the leave request (like doc cert)

    Please allow us to upload documents directly into an employee's 'Notes' area, such as employment contracts.

    Yes, 100% agree and to be able to create folders in that same section would be handy as well.

    I can't see anywhere you can upload a document attached to an employee - this would be a very useful feature in Xero for Payroll to be able to attach employee HR paperwork rather then have to file a hard copy separately.

    Sorry Christine, I cannot find in the employee section, a notes section where you can upload documents. There is a notes section for individuals but there is no option to upload. I have full admin rights for payroll.

    as per Lyndell Teale comment - Would be useful to attach medical certificate to the actual leave application.
    We used KeyPay in my last role (amazing) and this was a feature..Xero is so close to being amzing - to be able to upload a medical cert when applying for leave would be great. and to be able to upload docs to an employees XERO file...everything in one place

    Ability to attach documents to each employee file - i.e. contract, leave certs etc. atm just in the files section which is not conducive to good practice.

    It would be great to be able to tag the files (and even sort them by tag).
    Tags - ATO | Super choice | Personal details | Medical - and be sortable by tag.

    Adding a medical certificate would be more useful within the payroll batch itself, rather than on the employee file, unless it was for an ongoing medical issue/workcover.
