AU Payroll - Allow adding super authorisation code via Xero accounting app.
Superannuation - I propose that Xero considers adding the ability to approve superannuation payments on the app rather than having to access approvals via the internet when working remotely.

Xero!
Why are you not getting it?
SMS is unsafe, unusable for many and so 1990's.
IMMEDIATELY allow users to choose their preferred method - authenticator app, email, your silly app or SMS as they prefer.
This is beyond stupid and critical to action now.
I just had to use an authenticator to post this comment, so we know you can do it.
We are the customer and we are getting very annoyed at your intransigence on this. -

Please hurry up and remove SMS only verification. I am a international flight attendant who also does payroll for my husbands business. I am being forced to process payruns earlier than we need to because of this SMS only verification.

Xero please find a way to have the auth code generated by some other means, not JUST SMS. Ie through the auth code generator, or by email.
And then also be able to approve the payment on the app as well

Not the app please - some of us are old fashioned and don't use apps for critical work. We need authorisation by the same method we choose to sign in with - not hard, but the IT geeks cannot see it.

As my comment on this has been closed by Xero, I will add here that this is now time urgent for me.
I am overseas for five weeks from September, my client will not be able to pay their superannuation due to the stupid SMS verification system.
When the ATO come calling we will direct them straight to Xero who have actively prevented us from complying with payday super legislation. The big problem with Xero and other online accounting systems is that they are now driven by IT people, not accountants and accounts professionals - therefore they are getting harder and harder to use, less compliant and frnakly a pain in the proverbial.

Very essential for Payday super now and people who travel extensively.

It is essential for the super approval to be app based rather than SMS. People go on annual leave, sick, or overseas where receiving SMS's isn't a given.

Had first payday super yesterday and couldn't believe I wasn't able to do this in one of the apps. Not an issue with once a quarter, but fortnightly will be painful, everything else I can approve easily from my phone.

I'm really hoping that this receives more votes because this will be essential come the 1st of July. Not all approvers can or want to log in to their Xero file via a browser to approve the auto super payment. If they can do it on their Xero app, it would be so much easier.

This was the business owner's idea. I 100% agree also.

I agree 100%, I have an employee doing pays but don't want them to also be the authoriser of super. A feature to also show if there have been any manual changes to the figures would be useful as well.
