Long Service Leave - add to default Leave Type.
Can we have the ability to add Long Service Leave to the default leave types that are added in "Assign Leave Type"? In Australia, all Full Time and Part Time Employees are entitled to LSL (after 7 years) and often clients are not adding the LSL leave type when employees are set up therefore the entitlement has to be manually calculated.
Hi Jane, thanks for sharing this idea. I wanted to let you know it is currently possible to set up a leave pay item so it becomes a default leave type for new employees. You just need to add a Normal Entitlement value in Payroll Settings > Pay Items > Leave.
Once that’s set, it can be included when using Assign Default Leave Types for eligible employees. If you need an extra hand you can raise a case with our Xero Support specialists. 😊
