  2. I have been in dispute with HMRC over an amended FPS submission. Having the employee and employer NI contributions broken down would have been a great help to me.

  3. When An employee has a salary Sacrifice an option to directly link it.
    In my case its for his pension so an option to link it directly to the pension so it appears on the pension filings.

  4. We create contractor bills within Xero as a way to view and track upcoming bills, but we pay them through Gusto. When we make the Gusto payment, Gusto generates its own bill in Xero, leading to duplication.

    As a current workaround, we delete the Xero bill once Gusto posts the payment transaction in Xero. At that time, we also attach PDFs of the invoices from the contractors to the Gusto bills.

    Can you provide a way to prevent these duplicate bills?

  5. I would like long service leave to accrue and update the balance each payrun like annual leave does, i.e. leave available to take in advance. rather than waiting for the accrued LSL to be applied on the anniversary date.

  6. It appears that in the last two weeks (submitted 23/2/2022) Xero rolled out a change to payroll, which possibly has some unforeseen implications.

    It used to be that if you were only paying a small number of employees at one time, you could use the summary screen (capture attached) to copy and paste the net pay figure for each employee to your online banking portal to effect the actual payment(rather than exporting to a file, and then importing the file to the online banking which is a little clunky for small number of employees - there doesn't exist the same…

    Sounds like you're wanting to copy the employees net pay from the pay run overview screen, but it's taking you into their payslip, Tom?

    Instead you could download the payslips report by opening the required pay run, clicking 'View Reports'and selecting Payslips - This'll download a PDF with all the employees payslips included. From this, you can copy and paste each employee's net pays into your online banking. 🙂

  7. UK. We employ temporary staff who do not accrue leave while taking paid leave they have previously accrued. The only way to reflect this in Xero is to manually adjust the leave balance. I would like to be able to add a pay item of paid leave that does not accrue further leave.

  8. Recommendation for the Payslips: Can Xero add some features on the payslips to include employer PAYE Reference. This is quite an important element, and most of the other payroll software provides this information.

    Also, can Xero include some options to include some colour in the payslips, such as changing the grid area to blue colour

  9. We have requested Downloadable P11's to be made available so we can correct a mistake a previous Xero payroll provider made.
    This is not available in Xero which is causing considerable inconvenience and a lot more manual work.

    This would be a really good idea if this was brought into the payroll package.

  10. We have up to 100 employees at certain times of the year, and it would be easier to unselect employees we are not paying, than select employees we are paying. A "select all" option would be good.

  11. Currently we have employees and contractors paid fortnightly through payroll. When printing annual earnings certificates the cert list contractors as employees rather than contractors and scores xero's for kiwisaver deductions and other taxes etc.

    We need to be able to print different annual earnings certs that reflect info for employees, and reflect info for contractors with different titles on cert as contractor, not employee.

  12. Show pay items (hours) per day on pay slip. So the employee can check hours paid on given day in the pay period and are able to easily check their pay/hours against there records. In my case employees don't have access to timesheets in Xero but even if they did would make it easier to check in one place

  13. With the payroll linking RTI with HMRC (UK), it would be really helpful if the pensions could do the same, not just with Scottish Widows but more providers.

    This would really streamline the whole payroll process and save so much time.

  14. If a pay increase is implemented across the board then currently, the only way to amend employees salary amount is to enter each record manually. If you have a large number of employees this is extremely time consuming.

    If a salary scale was used and assigned to employee records, it could be uplifted by a percentage and all records would automatically update.

  15. Search by Employee across all of Payroll reports. We have 110 - 120 staff, currently we have to scroll down to find the right employee, can we have a standards search by employee. ie/ start typing their name and then hit enter

    Hi Belinda, to check in on your idea here are you looking for similar to the Pay History report that allows you to search the employee versus drop down and select as you do in the Leave Transactions report? 

  16. Be able to integrate the payroll calendar on Xero with iCal, so approved annual leave automatically appears in my iCal without having to duplicate entries, and updates if someone changes their leave on Xero.

  18. Given that there is already a link between Pay Runs and Timesheets, it would be very helpful if the Pay run could recognise what days have time entered on the timesheet then it would recognise if an employee worked on a Public Holiday and then by default record 1.5 times and add the lieu day to alternative holidays.
    This is something that my clients miss regularly as they expect Xero Payroll to do this for them.

  19. Currently leave requests must be approved before the relevant pay run is commenced.

    If we discover that leave needs to be added at any point after the pay run is commenced, the entire pay run must be deleted, along with any progress made.

    When processing payroll for businesses, I occasionally discover leave should be included only while I'm actually processing the pay run.

    I'd like to have a clone of the leave creation UI as an option while within the pay run process itself. This would show leave balances for the employee, and only have an option to Approve or…

  20. Before the update there were two greyed out boxes, when hovered over revealed the employee full salary and earnings to date - this was very handy when the salaries are based on an hourly rate. Where has this function gone? and can we have it back please.
