AU Payroll: AutoSuper Functionality for non AU bank account formats
Currently AutoSuper is not working if one has a Wise AUD bank account.
This would be highly advantageous for those that run their business entirely through Wise and don't use an Australian local bank.1 voteThanks for sharing your idea!
I wanted to let you know that it is possible to use Wise accounts for auto super payments; however, if the Wise base account is not the AU-specific account, the format will not follow the standard requirement of: BSB 000-000, Account 00000000.

AU Payroll - Notification when leave requests are created for the same date
Encountered an issue where employees annual leave has been entered twice and it doesn’t flag in the system. Unsure if a Xero glitch or a human glitch, but regardless, it shouldn’t be able to process 2 Annual Leave runs for the same dates/ Pay periods.

AU Payroll - Allow Salary Sacrifice item to be coded to superannuation
Ability to set a specific account for Salary Sacrifice amounts to go into instead of a default gross wages account.

AU Payroll: allowance/other earning types to make up annual salary on payslip.
We have constant feedback that we are not paying people in full because the field Annual Salary Field doesn't include allowances
Can it be the Grossed up salary package?

AU Payroll: Automate Pay Runs
For any fixed salary employees, there should be an option to automate their regular (fortnightly/monthly) payruns. There's no reason why I need to manually create these for fixed salary employees.
Any changes to salary or leave balances etc are all managed separately via their respective employee records or leave requests.

Superannuation funds - add a search button or make them 'sortable'.

Simplify and automate worksafe remuneration reporting. This shouldn't be as painful as it is. Especially difficult when needing to deduct non reportable wages for apprentices , or part thereof when they begin or end apprenticeships midway through a financial year.

AU Payroll - Automatically exhaust paid leave before unpaid leave is applied
Payroll - Auto calculate the leave entitlement on employee including the accrual from the current pay period to exhaust all leave before unpaid leave is applied.

NZ Payroll - Allow employee date of birth to be optional
Please remove the requirement to have a date of birth for an employee.
We have been asking for this to be removed for years, Xero recently told us it was an IRD requirement. We contacted our account manager at Inland Revenue and they said it is not an IRD requirement and that they have been in contact with Xero Payroll to make the field non-compulsory.
The workaround that Xero gives of adding a made up date does not work and causes issues where IRD send letters that the date of birth does not match that client.

Payroll - Suggestion for a visual staff leave planner to manage overlaps and cover
A Planner with a visual representation of staff approved leave (with an option to note who is covering that leave) would be super helpful. We're trying to do this with with spreadsheets and it's diabolical - but the info is all there in Xero - seeing it in a planner would be AMAZING!

AU Payroll - Change Employee bank account from within pay run
I have a client that often has employees opt to pay into varying bank accounts from pay to pay. There is no option to change the default bank account, you either need to manually change it or add the amount to the bank account that the employee wants to be paid into, it is very manual and cumbersome and is prone to human error. An option to change default bank account would assist with this and also eliminate all those annoying change of bank account emails that Xero send through.

NZ Payroll: Move payslip note move to top
PAYSLIP NOTES - move to top of payslip! No-one reads the very bottom of their payslip! Notes are likely to be the most important information on that document, so show it first.

UK Payroll - Add filters to all reports, i.e. leave overview and Auto enrollment.
It will be great to have meaningful payroll reports. E.g., the leave overview is a blunt tool, as it shows all employees, including those who have left. The same applies to the Auto Enrolment Summary Report - it is a basic on-screen report with no filters, etc. And, yes, includes historical employees. Where there are filters, these overlook some choices which should be present. E.g., wage type, which payroll runs are they- monthly, quarterly, weekly, etc

AU Payroll - Change leave type while keeping existing information entered
When you go to enter a leave request manually (not employee entered), if you select the dates first, and then realise 'oh I meant this to be sick leave, not annual leave' and change the leave type, the dates 'reset' to current date, and don't retain the information you've already entered.
This means you can accidentally enter an incorrectly dated leave request, having done all the hard work of calculating the hours and dates, then realised at the last second that the 'type' of leave is wrong - everything resets!

we have option to download pay slips of employees but, there is no option to download timesheets it would be easy to have a option to download timesheets.

AU Payroll - Option to hide self onboarding tab
We have our own onboarding system and won't use the onboarding tab, it would be great to have the option to remove or hide this as its just in the way. I use current and past employees and click this by mistake frequently which I find very frustrating.
