latest update removal
Please remove the latest update on Xero: when you copy an invoice it automatically opens a new tab on my laptop. I have more than 20 invoices to post everyday, I do not wish to have 20 tabs on my screen in the end. Not every update is a good update. When you don't have a better update, it's better to just maintain it.

That the search function can find something entered in a bill description field
Please add to the search function, that it can find something entered in a bill description field. Eg. We have a 14 or 30-day account with several suppliers. So on entering a bill, we enter the bill number in the Reference field. Then say we enter Shredder or Blower in the Description field.
If several months down the track the shredder or blower is faulty, we can't find the bill easily. Have to manually open every Bunnings or Officeworks bill & look at the transaction.

Product Ideas Notifications - enable/disable per post
Currently Product Idea notifications are either enabled or disabled.
Which means I get a ridiculous amount of emails for every single product idea I've ever commented or voted on. And given Xero's inability to actually resolve any of these issues, the number of notifications is going up and up.
Currently, because of the amount of complaints about the new homepage my inbox is full every morning.
I don't want any more notifications reminding me how bad the new home page is. However, I do want notifications on a lot of the other 'Product Ideas' that I am following.

Product & Services - List of invoices/bills
Products & Services - great we now are able to give users access to view/edit etc but can we also give them access to the list of sales/purchases for each product that shows below the product information. Not sure why this does not show when the user also has access to create sales invoices and purchase orders.

user permission
I am looking to restrict staff members from accessing Xero on unauthorised devices. This will ensure that only company issued devices are used to access Xero. Could Xero please consider this as a quick win?

Allow Signup to Partner Program for Bookkeepers
The current signup process, while being advertised for bookkeepers actually requires a registration with the TPB as a tax or BAS agent, however pure bookkeepers categorising transactions and doing account reconciliations have no need to lodge BAS' and hence no reason to obtain a BAS agent number.
This oversight prohibits bookkeepers from signing up to the partner program and growing the platform.
A simple "do you intend to make lodgements for your clients - yes/no" button before the "BAS agent number" input field would suffice.

JAX - Ability to move icon
Move "jax" and the new "Apps" icons into the Company Drop Down on the right hand side so they don't clutter our tool bar and you can go in there and chose to activate them or not.
Give us some choice please - I'm not loving having the search icon so far over now, as it has to make space for these 2, which I will not be using.

We don't have any plans for changing the placement of the JAX icon atm, but it'll be good to get a sense from the community that also feel this way, here. We're keeping a close eye on feedback, and I'll let you know if there's any news to share with you here.

Bank accounts - Ability for Managers to approve updated bank account details for contacts.
Add the ability for Managers to approve bank account details for contacts. Ie the Bookkeeper can enter in & change the suppliers bank account details in Xero, but the manager can then go an approve it.

History & Notes - Give access to Standard user
It would be nice to be able to give access to the History and Notes to Standard users. Right now it's only visible for Advisors while I believe this is a feature that could be useful to Standard users as well.

Log into more than one company
It would be really useful to be able to log into more than one company on an reference basis only. I'm often in the middle of something when I am asked a question relating to another company by a colleague or client. I have to log out just to find one bit of information. I might have multiple windows open with different reports etc that I then lose. This is also very important when working on related companies to see intercompany loans in both companies at once. Dashboard | Watchlist - Customise at the user level
Could the Accounts Watchlist feature have an option to have user specific watchlists? The accounts I want to pay close attention to as Head of Finance is different to what the Finance Assistant wants to see. Not all accounts are organisation wide specific.

User Roles - Ability to filter and sort list by roles and permissions
As part of our QA, we review the list of users to check that it is up to date, eg, remove terminated employees, remove auditors at the completion of the audit or revert to Read Only, etc.
It would be great to be able to filter/sort the view by access type, such as looking only at Payroll Employees, or filtering them out.

New invoicing - Don't allow Invoice Only Draft Only user to select Create new item
When I am logged-in to Xero as a user with "Invoice only" and "only create drafts" permissions, it is my understanding that this user should not be able to create new invoice items or see menu options for creating new items. However, it appears this user can see this menu option when adding a line item to an invoice and attempt to create a new item, leading to an ambiguous error message.
Expected Behavior:

Notifications - Ability to create custom notifications
CUSTOM STAFF / BUSINESS NOTIFICATIONS
This page states I can set up custom notifications in the business section under features and notifications but this is not available in my xero, only 'practice organizations' have these features.
I want to be able to set up notifications or reminders for my staff. For example to follow up a sent quote or other tasks.
Also, I think quotes should have the same reminder system as invoices as I think this will assist with getting quotes accepted.

Notifications - Make audible alerts optional
Please make audible alerts to "messages", tips, etc optional.
I wear earphones and work across multiple devices and it is quite irritating to hear "bloop" when working across multiple tabs.We don't need more vapid sounds in our lives!

Dashboard - Add Business Snapshot widgets
add specific tiles to xero Dashboard from Business Snapshot.
I would like on my dashboard 3 main tiles
1. Revenue by month, 3 mths 6 and 12 months shown as options
2. Expenses the same
3. Financial Position this year by Rev, Expenses & Profit.

A user that has limited access but needs to be able to filter from the main screen not just start date and end date - it needs further drill down options

Fixed Assets - Allow Standard users to delete Draft asset transactions
Amend the Standard user level to have the ability to delete draft asset draft transactions. If an invoice has been incorrectly entered and allocated to asset account and the information pushed through to draft assets, the standard user, who made the error should be able to correct it. They are able to correct the invoice side of things, but this does not remove it from the draft asset list, and they are unable to delete. Standard users have the permissions to delete draft bills and invoices, and even bank lines and statements.. but not draft assets?
