Dashboard - Show Bills and Invoices that are in 'Awaiting Approval'

Ability to show bills and invoices that are in ‘awaiting approval’ status.

Purpose: Saving users’ time from having to click on ‘invoices owed to you’.

Hiya team, with our new Homepage rolled out now to all users we're pleased to return and update this idea.

As note in my last post- Visibility of items needing approval for both invoices and bills are available from 2 places within the new Homepage;

  • In the respective Invoices owed to you, or Bills to pay widget, and
  • IF there are items that need reviewing for approval, as a line within the Tasks widget

We really appreciate the input we've received from everyone on this idea. Thanks for sharing how incorporating this feature into the experience would add value for you 😊

    Thanks Kelly, this is awesome news.
    Seeing how many invoices that are still awaiting approval from the home page will make a big difference for me. Being able to click a button to go straight to the relevant page will make it easier for my boss to approve the payments. I look forward to the roll out.

    This appeared briefly in the UK and now it's vanished and I have just found 18 unapproved bills because the approver didn't see the prompt...

    A glimmer of hope that UK build has been given this feature. When are we getting it in NZ? Wont hold my breath.

    The new update for the UK Xero has it on the Dashboard - so good!!

    We have only started using the approval feature, think it is important to be shown on the dashboard, otherwise you just simply forget to go and look!!

    We'd like to set up e-invoicing, but there's no point if this feature isn't available.

    Please add this to the dashboard, it would be really useful for planning upcoming expenses - my studio management software integrates with awaiting approval so this feature would be incredibly useful for me!

    We don't use 'awaiting approval' as we can't see them on the dashboard, we have to leave invoices in drafts instead, please add to dashboard.

    It would be good to show draft and awaiting approval items on the aged reports if selected

    Adding my voice to the chorus requesting this - this is an essential functionality for organisations which (as they should) separate the drafting and approving functions among users for fraud prevention purposes.

    This would be useful info on the Dashboard so we can see what we are waiting on to be approved without having to go into Business / Bills to pay. Why is this taking so long when issue raised in Sep 2015??

    I don't understand why 'draft' bills show but 'awaiting approval' bills don't. Surely it can't be that hard to add it in? Knowing the total of bills (approved + waiting approval) that need to be paid would really help with budgeting and planning payments.

    Not being able to see bills awaiting approval on the dashboard is causing us to miss paying on time. Please add this feature.
