Navigation - Ability to change ordering of menus
Great Change
Upcoming changes are very useful. However, a small suggestion re. the home page menu: As an Accountant in practice would like the following order.
Home
Accounting
Sales
Purchases
Payroll
Reporting
Tax and
Contacts.
Interesting to hear the differing views in terms of the ordering here. Thanks for your feedback.
We're paying close attention to everything our community is sharing about the new navigation here and if there are any plans made around the ordering we will let you know.

Rearrange the Reporting menu sections:
Section 1: All Reports, Custom, Advisor, Drafts, Published, Archived
Section 2: Favourites
Section 3: Reporting Settings
Then have a separate menu dropdown for Analytics - then move the current Analytics, Short-term cash flow + Business snapshot items onto the new menu
Then within the All reports page, have a menu in the side panel to navigate to each reporting section (make all report sections visible in the pane) - e.g. payroll, tax, financial, etc. The whole page could do with a rework, the report grouping is a little cumbersome...please can Fixed Assets reporting have its own section?! -

Could headings be changed so either:
Logical - contacts would be next to sales & purchases, reporting would be after accounting as you generally do adjustments before running reports
Alphabetical - Accounting, contacts, payroll
Edit to suit - ability to drag & drop headings into an order that suits the user as everyone has their own preferences
Bank is probably the most used section in xero yet doesn't have it's own heading...

It would be useful to be able to move them to our own preferences

As Xero a business user I disagree.
But if you put it at the end, perhaps that would be an easy place for an accountant to refer to it?
Also, projects is missing from the above list, which I would suggest goes after Purchases.
Get rid of Tax as it can go under accounting or reports (but I've voted for this change on another idea).
