  1. Would love to see the ability to make use of boolean operators within the search bar.

    An example would be something like using the '|' character for an "OR" search where you can search for multiple terms and items match either term are returned.

    Another example would be '&' (or another character that's not as commonly used in references/descriptions) for an "AND" search, where all terms entered must match - less useful but a nice-to-have.

    Lastly, the ability to use "!" to do a "NOT" search and only display results that don't match the search term (useful for filtering out…

Xero user list -is it possible to get a list of all users on Xero for all organizations, we are a Not for Profit and have about 30 entities which have a number of users in each Xero organization. I know that you can get a user list if they are on the staff list in Xero HQ, but it would be good to have a report to get all users in all the Xero organizations instead of going into each entity and then going to Organization name > Settings > Users

  4. Standard user to be able to run and publish reports. Standard user to be able to prepare BAS but not submit (current set up), able to lock period but not modify locked period.

  5. General overhaul of user permissions. Including: When a new user is added to the practice at the admin level, they are automatically added to all clients in the practice. For large firms this is problematic and would be better if all users were only given access to the demo account upon invitation.

  6. We should not have to contact our accountant (subscriber) to verify our organisations agreement to use JAX. An organisation admin should be able to do this.

  7. A recurring problem we have is when clients sign up following a free trial but then end up creating a new/duplicate subscription. This may essentially be an issue with the UI that the client sees, but it would be useful to have the option for advisors to merge live Xero subscriptions with expired free trial accounts in these situations - or at least send a request through to Xero to carry out the task.

  8. I've just moved from a different program. Most things are much better, except for customer statements. No ageing periods on the statement. My suggestion - remove the remittance advice and put in an ageing period table.

  9. Ability to edit customer statement layout. I've just converted to Xero and find it a lot better than the previous program I was using, except in one respect. The customer statement is SO old-fashioned. It has the remittance advice cut-off slip, which was very helpful back in the early 2000s, when people still used cheques. Now, with online payments, it is not necessary and it makes the whole statement seem very old-fashioned.

  10. I would like a link to the Xero portal where tax documents are sent for e-signing. Rather than having to find an email with the link to the Xero portal to e-sign tax documents, it would be helpful for clients to be able to simply click a link within Xero to go back to the Xero portal and see past signed documents or anything that is waiting to be signed.

  12. Not everyone has access too or wants to use an authenticator app. I would like to have a code send to my mobile or email as the authentication method. When we setup Xero asks for a backup email address which codes can be sent too. So if codes can easily be sent to a backup email address, then why cant they just go to the users email address ? Please consider allowing code to be emailed to the user as multi-factor authentication method, instead of only allowing an email to a backup email address.

  13. Allow the Cash In/Out widget to start from 1 March instead of Last 6 months or have an adjustable date, it will allow us to see the cash in/out for this financial year or a specific period, not set for 6 months only

  14. It would be helpful to us if we could enter a bill into Xero, submit it, and then have the option to copy all the line details of that bill to an invoice, using the Sell Price in Products and Services (if they exist as items in the catalogue).

    Some of our customer transactions are literal 'we buy in, add mark-up, and sell on' and we currently have to enter both a bill and a separate invoice to achieve this. Being able to take a bill and copy it to a draft invoice, ready for adjustments, would be very useful…

  15. you should be able to confirm your account with a secondary email. I got locked out of my primary email, and Xero thought my normal log in was suspicious. I had not way to confirm my account. I have a secondary email. What is the point of the secondary email if there is no way to use it to confirm my account? Or use my phone for a text confirmation.
