Only allow people with limited access to Projects to see their own hours/project, not the total hours billed to any project. The total hours are really none of their business.

User Role: Ability to only create drafts + view reports
Can we have one more category of user role in Xero (A user role with Ability for only to create all possible drafts + View reports)?
This kind of user role can help to minimise recording errors when any transaction (Quotation, Invoice, Bill, expenses, transfer, receive and spend money) can have two steps approval. It can provide more verification flexibility /security for the business which managed by more than one person as well.
View reports can help the initiator to check the effect of the transaction after approval.

User Access: Lock Dates - Specify User Access
Ability to specify which user has access to the lock dates.
Purpose: To prevent clients from changing prior year figures in Xero after the financials have been published.

User Role - Allow Admin Projects users to see custom project reports
There are users who need access to custom projects reports but no others. Currently they either have to repeatedly customise the base reports or have access to all the reports.

User Roles - Invoice Only: Ability to see balances of supplier accounts
An employee is in charge of paying our foreign supplier accounts. So we gave him the role "Invoice only (Approve and Pay). Unfortunately, he is not able to see a full statement of the supplier account with all invoices, credit notes and payments made so he does not know how much is owed. He is also unable to enter payments against a supplier without an invoice already existing in Xero, which is an issue when making payments to suppliers who require payment in advance. User Roles - Ability to set up greater flexibility for staff roles (e.g. read only permission)
Ability to have read only permission when setting up staff access in Xero.
Purpose: Because some staff aren’t allowed to make changes to certain area (e.g. access to bank accounts and reports).

User Role - Restrict access to individual bank accounts
To have the ability limit some users to access some bank accounts within Xero org.
Purpose: To limit some staff to not be able to see the information about the client’s bank balance.
686 votesHi everyone, I want to assure you your voice is heard here and feedback is being shared back with our product teams.
We understand the desire to get this idea moving along and as mentioned in our last update we know this is an area that more controls and permissions would be most beneficial to our customers.
We’d like to share progress that we’re making for banking permissions - Work to provide more controls of sensitive banking information has started and will initially include the ability to restrict users from seeing sensitive banking information such as; account balances, bank transactions, and financial summaries.
We know this doesn’t relieve all pain points of this idea - It’ll be the first phase, a stepping stone of sorts in the development of per-bank controls.

Ability to restrict access to specific tracking categories for some users in Xero org.
Purpose: To help users hide the incoming and outgoing transactions from some users within the Xero org. Some organisations (e.g. not for profit) need this to protect the privacy of their donors and departments.
