  1. Enable use for non-Xero clients

    For non-Xero clients, it would be very useful to be able to use Workpapers by importing client trial balances. Kindly update when this feature will be available.

  3. Bring back Xero HQ Activity tab. It was the only place you can see which of your clients GST Returns still needed to be filed.

    You cant even generate a report for this in myIR Intermediary.

  4. I have moved to Xero Tax from Reckon Elite, but just realised that Xero Tax does not have a Notification of formation of consolidated group schedule.

    As a tax agent, it is crucial to have this schedule to update client's consolidation status, including updating joining/leaving subsidiaries.

    It would be great if this can be added as quickly as possible.

  5. Sometimes we have more than three people working on a job and currently Xero only allows for one preparer, manager and partner on a job. It would be good if we could have more flexibility in this area.

  6. When using Xero Workpapers, it imports the figures across from the Xero client file without decimals. Therefore, when I'm comparing these figures in Workpapers to client reports and bank statements these are often slightly out.

    Can you please update Workpapers so that there is an option to show decimal places?

    Hi team, we appreciate your feedback and understand the importance of having decimal places visible in workpapers especially for tasks that require a high level of detail. I'm pleased to let you know that our product teams have paid close attention to the idea from our community here as they develop our new Workpapers solution, where all workpapers in the new solution will show 2 decimal places.

    For those of you using the existing Workpapers solution, there's no immediate change. You can continue with your current workflow. Once the new solution becomes available, we'll share more information on how to access it.

    We're beginning to roll this out to Partners starting with Australia, and will be expanding to other regions in early 2026.

  7. I would like to place feedback around user settings, The user permissions are limiting and weird ones seem to go together. Currently all staff can see everyone's timesheets, we we're advised to remove the financial setting under financial privilege's to remove staff access to timesheets, in doing so staff could no longer see budgets on jobs, therefore we had to give all users back that permission, in effect allowing all staff access to everyone's timesheets it just doesn't make sense.

  8. Id like to have a placeholder for the prior period when using the recurring jobs function.
    When you complete a bookkeeping job you are doing this on prior period data so the recurring job functionality to use 'period' is not useful as it creates the workflow job a week in advance.

  9. Create "to do" lists in tasks, and allowing them to become a template - this would make it so much easier when creating jobs - gives staff a tick off for each task if required.

    Would be so much easier than currently doing it through a Job Level and having to create tasks with "To Do' lists individually.

  10. The tax return view/list can be significantly improved through:
    - the All tax return tab - ability to update the status from here. Currently, when we go to Lodge, we have to find the return in the All tab to determine what status it is at, then go to that specific status tab, find the return again, and update the status - this is really cumbersome, particularly when we are lodging numerous returns that are all set at different statuses.
    - the ability to see more fields/columns for each tax return to reduce the risk of lodging the incorrect return.…

  11. Support documents uploaded to a workpaper are listed at the bottom of a workpaper in the order they are uploaded in, it would be a handy feature to be able to reorganise uploaded documents as needed for ease of review and keeping items in say account or alphabetical order.

    When previewing a workpaper rather than downloading if you have highlighted using pdf manager this doesnt show that bright. Need to fix as this is hard for a review to know what the team member has highlight.

    Hi team, thanks for sharing the how bolder highlighting would improve your use of Workpapers. We're pleased to share (as you may have heard through the grapevine) we have a new Workpapers solution in the mix that's being rolled out in phases over the coming months.

    With the new solution attachments will be more visible, making it much simpler to review. Right now, you can read more about this new feature on our blog, and I'll be back to share once it's available to everyone, here.

  13. Is it possible to have a "heads up" on what changes are being planned.
    For example, the procedure for client deletions has just been changed so that a client with IRD Number/Tax Return cannot be deleted, with no notification to us as users that the change was being contemplated, let alone actually happened.
    This then leaves us asking for the change to be undone.
    If been advised beforehand, could have suggested options which be suitable to all parties and mean that reprogramming is not required.

  14. Ability to Delete a Client from Xero Practice Manager if they have an IRD Number and/or Tax Returns.
    Have found that XPM has been updated so can no longer delete a Client if they have either and IRD Number or Tax Returns (including Archived Tax Returns). Client has to be Archived instead. Wanting to delete especially in cases such as the Client being deceased, rather than having to Archive (especially as Archived Clients can still appear in reports).

  15. Ability to send a document to a client through Xero portal, without requiring a signature. I use the Document Packs to send tax returns and financials to clients. It would be good to be able to use this function to send packs to clients that don't need a signature.

    For example: securely sending a notice of assessment to a client through xero, or sending copies of tax returns to clients that have already signed them in person.

  16. Have the ability to send a copy of the actual message/links sent to a client to our own email when we we send something for e-signing via Xero Sign. Adobe sign has this option.
    This would help us because:
    1. It is a professional requirement to keep a copy of all correspondence sent to clients.
    2. It also would help when they call and have a question about what to do if you could have the exact copy in front of you to step it through with them.

  17. Currently when a staff member leaves we can remove their access on the clients we subscribe to Xero but can't remove access where the client subscribes directly and has invited them in.

    For security purposes, it would be good if the practice admin could easily run a report on the leaver showing all the clients they have access to. You can do this on screen however we want the client managers to get in touch with their relevant clients as they have the relationship.

    Hi team, we appreciate the engagement through this idea about managing staff access.

    To provide an update on how this currently works with the new unified staff and client experiences - When removing a staff member from your practice, the following organisation access is also removed:

    1. Linked to active clients
    2. Linked to archived clients
    3. Owned by the practice

    We're also looking into further enhancements to this flow to make the removal of org access optional. I'll share another update to confirm once this is implemented. Thanks
