  2. Ability to upload multiple documents to workpaper queries at one time, currently can only select and upload one document at time which can be quite time consuming if a client has supplied you with 12 months bank statements to upload. I note this bulk upload feature is available when saving supporting documents to workpapers so not sure why this functionality can be expanded to include queries?

  3. In Xero HQ as a partner we have Report Templates which we can use for our clients. Currently, it only allows us to export to PDF or Excel or Google Sheets.

    It would be useful. helpful and beneficial for practitioners to be able to export it to WORD format so that we can re-format the font type, font size and header and footer styles..

  4. If you have your firm time billing set to round up then all of the reports - even actual time reports, report the rounded hours and not the actual minutes worked. This is really inaccurate and makes it really difficult for me to get a good gauge on employee billing and performance. Please look at amending any reports using a rounded time figure that should be actual time.

    In addition and also critical to this issue XPM timesheets for payroll but I am also pretty certain that if you are using XPM timesheets for your payroll it pulls/exports the rounded…

  6. Change reply to email address:
    Any user can send tax letters, but the reply to email address can be set as one specific email (much like in blue xero)

    For example:
    staff1@accountingfirm.co.nz sends provisional tax reminders to clients, but when clients receive the tax reminder email, the reply to address is admin@accountingfirm.co.nz

    This same feature is already available in Blue Xero when sending invoices

  7. Would it be possible to combine the features of Custom reports (in particular the ability to set them as default reports and favourite them for access from the Reports drop-down) with Adviser reports (the ability to format using report codes and practice-wide sharing across any number of client organisations)?

    Right now, a practice has to decide between:

    Customising reports on a per-client basis - an incredibly time-consuming task to set up

    or

    Drafting an Adviser report every time - which can't be set as a default report on the Reports home screen or favourited for easy access and therefore takes…

  8. Change Capacity under Settings/Practice to allow for Saturday and Sunday so that on the Dashboard for Time Summary the time entered on Saturday and Sunday shows and is reflected in the Productivity circle on the Dashboard

  9. We are wondering if you could add a script at the phone number field in XPM so that when we click on client's phone numbers, the website will trigger an application (such as Microsoft Teams) to make phone call. This will save us time having to copy and paste phone number onto the application.

  10. Xero Practice Manager - Tax

    I want to be able to run two reports to see which staff have tax access to which clients and to see to which clients a staff member has tax access. This is very important for security purposes and additionally to help us meet our obligations as tax agents.

    Hi all, we appreciate you sharing and supporting in the idea here. As I'm sure you'll have noticed we have released new unified client and staff experiences.

    While it's not possible to create a report to identify which staff can access client tax returns just yet, this is something that our product team are exploring.

    While not a definite as yet, I'll keep you informed on updates around this through the idea here. Thanks

  11. There is no option to export a group of clients appearing on the screen. We have different managers managing different groups of xero clients and they need to see this rather than export the whole client list and having to sort on excel

  12. And before someone tries to tell me XPM is a premium product and that's why it has additional functions like search 🥴 search is not a premium feature. We just want to be able to search for a client without changing from Returns to Clients page.

  13. Would be cool to be able to edit the name of the PDF attachment sent with the Tax Payments emails from "PaymentLetter" to a name that is more specific to the client.

    Would be particularly helpful where a client has multiple entities to pay tax for.

    Possibly use XPM merge fields for the pdf file name? for example "{Client} Payment Letter due {PaymentDueDate}"

  15. Please can we have a simple Tax Return Status report that we can run by tax year (or other appropriate filters) that shows all the relevant fields that I can see on personal tax return screen.

    This way we would be able to run a report for a particular tax year and see who we still have to do by way of a control check. This would also be useful on the company tax and accounts side

  17. In XPM Report Builder, for "Monthly Summary" report types, there needs to be an option added for 12 months of data to report.

    This would allow a full financial year's worth of data to be summarised monthly where required.

  20. We would like to upload our own Engagement/Disengagement Letters/Privacy Notice, etc into HQ, is this something that would be useful for other Accountants/Bookkeepers? Are there plans to be able to do this in the future?
