Practice Manager - 'Sticky Note' on client home page
To have a function that essentially works as a sticky note on the details page of the clients file. Although there is the notes function, it it easily lost within the multiple tabs, however if something was right there on the home screen for all to see it isn't as easily missed/ignored. It could be something simple like a staff member has been trying to get in touch with the client, or bringing attention to an address change, noting the preferred method for documents to be signed etc.

Please add pop-up notes within the client profile. This would be helpful so we can include important info for the admin, accounting and bookkeeping teams.

This would be even more useful if it then popped up when creating an invoice or bill. A further example, we have a small number of customers that want us to quote a purchase order number, but most do not, so a pop up reminder would be great or even if the existing Contact Notes section showed up on the Invoice screen.

The ability to add an important or critial note in the main contact section would be hugely valuable. It could be for situations such as 'do not contact' - 'do not invoice until' - 'extended membership until'.
If this idea was implemented it would save so much time with it showing on the contact landing page rather that searching for the info and it would also serve as a highlighted reminder of something important -

With the new layout it would be wonderful if on the Client pages it was possible to have an additional column for "Client Notes". We have a significant number of clients with specific notes that being able to see the information on one screen would make life so much easier and more functional in our day to day operations.

Pinned client notes should be shown on the client information page. Would help for things like a credit hold on a client. Warning

100% agree. A banner at the top of the client or a pop up screen that you have to click to close would be very helpful.
Most of our staff only look in the notes if they are actively looking for something.

I propose introducing a pre-profile pop-up in Xero XPM to provide immediate access to critical client information, including linked contacts, billing references, and direct hyperlinks to individual contacts. This feature would also allow for the configuration of custom reminders, ensuring that key client details and actionable prompts are prominently displayed to enhance staff efficiency and client service.

There's a notes section now, but from the initial client view, there's no indication whether there are notes there or not! It needs a number next to it, so we know there's something to look at

Would be great to be able to select 'Pop Up' for any notes (client or job) so that when you either enter the client or enter the job, a note pops up "eg. CLIENT ON STOP CREDIT" so that it is in your face. Then, have the option to snooze the note or dismiss.

I suggest being able to create a list of things to do that can't be completed immediately. For eg include an amount of RFBA before finalising STP for the year or check a general ledger entry next week. This list could pop up when the client file is opened.

I believe it would be very beneficial if there was an option to have an overall notes section for each column, and not just only a notes section for each specific return / activity statement. Rather this notes option would just be for the client as a whole, so the impotant notes could be stored here. It is easier to record previous discussions that may have been made about the client and their specific situations. This will make it much more accessible to see the whole history of the client with just one click.

We are looking to have a “comment” section for free txt added to XPM. Ideally what we would like is to see this section/area at the top. We understanding that we can add custom fields to XPM Unfortunately, customer fields sit at the bottom of the page and are not great for important client information.

Apart from utilising the Notes function in client profiles, may I suggest a field be added for short term notes (not needed to be archived) to highlight an alert/instruction/warning for all staff when working on a particular client. As an example: do not lodge Tax returns for ABC until Paid.

I currently post notes under the client file not under a specific job. While I can do this I would prefer to have a single screen where I can post the note and select the client without having to search the client and then select notes. Similar to timesheets on the dashboard screen where I select the client, select the job and can post without searching each client. TIA

have one section for internal notes on the client that can be updated
- Files can be attached but not updated
- Notes in a Report Text Box are only specific to that report
Need a permanent place that I can add notes, instructions, updates to my staff dealing with a client
