  1. Xero gave us a tax estimate for deceased estates (but only within the first three years...), and on my very first trial of this new feature ran into a roadblock - I cannot find anywhere to input the PAYG Instalments paid by the deceased estate, therefore the estimate is inaccurate.

  2. Currently if a tax letter email fails to send, for whatever reason, there is no email notification it failed to send. The system really needs to be enhanced so the person who sent the tax letter from XPM gets an email notification that the tax letter failed to send to that email address. Currently it is just blind faith that all letters are sent which is clearly not good.

  3. Generated GST and PST bills should generate the date of the end of the period reported. January to March reporting should generate a report with the date of March 31, 2024 and not the date of that the bill is generated.

  4. Capital gains tax worksheet - where an capital assets is owned by more than one person say husband and wife 50:50. If the worksheet has been prepared for one taxpayer, have an option to have this copied/ transferred to the other taxpayer similar to rent schedule.

    For property generally there could be just one item but for shares there may be huge number of CGT events.

  5. In Xero Tax when we save the completed tax return for the client as PDF for email, is there an option to hide other sensitive information in addition to the TFN, such as date of birth, address and bank details.

  7. We need a transaction list for all contact where the unapplied payment amount reflects. It is very difficult to compare our Xero statement with transaction list from a supplier (or debtor for that matter) if you have to export the Xero report on the contact to be able to add up all applied payments and then only be able to compare statements.
    The Contact summary Report should have the option of seeing the report with applied payments or show the payment amount as it came (or was paid out) to suppliers / customers.

    Hi Elmie, just trying to understand your idea here a little better - when you mention 'unapplied payment amount' would this be an amount that's been paid by your customer but hasn't yet been applied to the invoice, or the outstanding amount of an invoice once payment has been applied ?

  8. You have 4 other online cloud document management systems listed via XPM. We use SharePoint and would request this to be added as a further option to link our programs for efficiency and easy of use.

    We would then like tasks to be setup in jobs, that we can "link" documents in Sharepoint, to tasks/jobs in XPM.

  10. All other access roles can be done from HQ, except for this one.

    Frustrating when this access has not been given to the staff member (overlooked) and staff member needs to create ABA file and cant.

  11. The ability to look up client by entering their client code. Currently we have to go to groups and find the client belonging to the group. Our admin system is based on client codes and it would make it easier having the client code look up option.

  13. We currently integrate with a range of practice management software, and have a recurring request from customers using XPM to have us add notes to client records when certain actions are taken.

    Currently, adding or updating notes is not possible via the API, however documents can be managed via the API. Client notes are useful as they allow important communications with a client to be logged against that client for future reference.

  14. It would be good when printing the WIP ledger for unbilled clients to have the option to print each client separately. i dont want to have to individually tick my clients just to get there report on a single page.

  15. When accessing through ipad browser (chrome/safari/edge), if entering time through the dashboard, there is not the function to start typing a job name and the list to match with the name typed. This function is avaialble on desktop. This means users need to scroll through the list to get to client name, then click/tap on it. Requesting the desktop site does not work.

  16. There could be many possible things to be able to track in there, but I would like to be able to:

    Limit the 'states' shown to things I am directly involved with like 'For review' and 'For Invoicing'.

    My secretary would want to see states that apply to her like 'to sign'.

    Only show 'Priority level' High and Urgent (with the flick of a keystroke)

    Possibly allow some of the functionality in the 'jobs' tab or the report builder to be 'saved' in the dashboard screen like mini tables that update real time?

  18. Currently there is no option to create a worksheet behind the trust distribution income at 6E, when completing company tax returns with a trust distribution income (eg from investments). You need to enter the gross distribution at 6E and record attached franking credits separately in the calculation statement at 'Refundable tax offsets'. It creates confusion for some of the junior staff as they can easily put this amount at 7J as franking credits which isn't correct.

  20. My Timesheet Information View
    Highlight/Bold the Client name for each entry.
    Make a hyperlink for.
    When reviewing timesheets is easier to think in terms of the client than the job name.
