  1. Client full legal name should display on the individual tax return rather than their display (preferred) name. Or give us the option to choose which name should be pulled into which report.

  2. Client Search History: being able to see the clients in XPM that you have searched for recently/previous 24hrs. When needing to go back to a client you recently searched and updated etc and need to go back into same client or cannot remember client name etc. Would have thought this would be 'standard feature' as in other progams we use

  3. Could you please add the field “[Tax Return] Suspended Until” to the fields available when you write an “Income Tax Client – ITCRPT” report.

    This would allow a report of all clients we are ATO Agent for showing their tax return due date, status and suspended until date all on one report.

  4. Ability to have separate and unlinked depreciation schedules available in Xero Tax a still print a depreciation report would be very useful. At times there is no requirement to link a depreciation schedule to a particular area with the tax return (it may not be relevant for the current year however is required in future years) or the schedules relates to two areas within the tax return. I have circumstances where rental assets has differing ownership percentages which causes a nightmare using the current depreciation processes.

  5. Currently, Xero only lets us archive the returns that are already filed (or are in the filed status).

    There are scenarios, when the clients come in to do the tax return- we need more information and client does not respond. We do have an option of suspending the returns- however, these returns will still be left in draft making the draft tax returns list unnecessarily longer.

  6. Reports - Advisor Report functionality recommendations:
    1. Ability to add any report (including customized/saved/published reports) to Advisor report packages. I only see a limited selection of reports from the Add Report dropdown. I feel like I should be able to add any report I want.
    2. Ability to add separator pages easily (like "supplementary information" page) that don't have the company name/date in the header. This would also be useful for adding a letter / accountant's report on letterhead.
    3. Ability to customize the cover page for wording, layout, logo, etc.

  11. A 'Date Added' field would be great, to show when a client was entered into an XPM account.

    It would also be good to add this as a client report criteria, so you can filter dates.

  12. Currently, if I am looking at a Workpaper and I click on the Flag next to an account, I can add a Review Point for that account.

    That review point shows up in the list at the bottom of the workpaper.

    If I click the flag next to the account, I can see the review points that have been added to that account... but I can't see the replies to those review points and nobody can reply to them from that area.

    I have to scroll down to the bottom to reply to the review point.

    Hi team, as you might've heard we have a new Workpapers solution that will be rolling out to partners over the coming months. It focuses on creating a more streamlined and deeply integrated compliance workflow, taking on board many of the ideas represented in community here.

    While the new solution won't show the account name just yet, there is a reference to the account number denoted to the right of the review point. You can see an example in my attached image.

    We appreciate partners would still like to see the account name referenced and we have another idea that we're tracking interest in this for here, please do add your vote to that if you'd like to see this too.

    We'll be staggering the rollout with Australia first off the cuff, and other regions to follow in early 2026. I'll keep you updated of it's release here. Thanks!

    Hi everyone, thanks for the on-going interest and engagement in this idea. As mentioned in our last update - tax adviser details will roll forward into the next year for each client, once added.

    However, our product team do appreciate how auto-filling the tax adviser details would make things more efficient.

    While we don't have immediate plans, this is something our teams are taking a closer look into solving for Xero Tax (UK) Personal tax.

    I'll be sure to come back and keep you updated of any progress in this space.

  16. Open up report fields so that you can select the "Tax Statement Balance" Field as well as the "Payment Amount" field. This gives us the ability to compare what XPM has as due and what the IRD has as due without having to export and complete complicated Excel actions.

    Xero Partner Hub is the new practice experiences bringing all your practice tools together in one place and will be launching to partners early 2026. This will include many improvements to clients like being able to create a group from within a clients record. 🙂

  18. Would be great to copy company access rights from one staff user to another. When a staff member leaves and inherits a portfolio of clients would be great to copy client access from one client to another.

    Hi Claire, thanks for your interest in this idea. Although we haven't enabled the option to exclude a balance sheet from sole trader accounts within Xero HQ we wanted to share this very exciting update with you. We recently released a direct import of the P&L from Xero onto the self-employment worksheet within Personal Tax, without the need to map the account codes and generate a set of sole trader accounts.

    Previously we only supported an import from Sole Trader Accounts to Personal Tax which for some of our partners involved an extra step, particularly for smaller clients who typically only receive Income & Expenditure accounts. We hope by adding this functionality that you will be able to maximise the more flexible reporting capabilities within Xero to produce accounts for sole traders.   20. With Xero Ask queries you specify a due date but if the query is not replied to there is no reminder sent to the client once the date has passed.

    Can we please have reminders automatically sent, much in the same way invoice reminders are sent.
