  1. Adding a disclaimer & changing the substantiation declaration on the tax returns - our old system used to have this that the client could sign which we would like to make adjustments to but we have to manually add this on to tax returns in Xero tax.

    Hi everyone, thanks for showing your interest here. We've been looking into your requests around Document packs, however want to be upfront that right now, editing sent packs is not on the immediate roadmap.

    We appreciate you providing more details on the exact scenarios where being able to edit a sent pack would be most helpful. It provides a good picture of the specific problems you're facing, which will help us explore various solutions in the future.

  3. General Pool Depreciation - Using the General Pool feature does not list the assets that have been pooled. It is useful to be able to review assets owned by an entity and the details of the purchase.

    Appreciate you'd like to add more detail for assets within a pool. 

    Atm, we don't have direct plans for developing this, however we'll continue to track interest here, so keep adding your support. 

  4. The ability to add share class in relationships.
    Currently you can only add the number of shares.
    However, we have a lot of companies that have different share class types (A Class, B Class, ORD Class etc).
    SUGGEST: adding a field under number of shares where you can type the share class (see attached example).

    This is a critical feature for our firm that is missing from XPM.

  6. It would be great to be able to customise if the fields are mandatory or not for new client setups. This would allow us to ensure that the fields we need setup are being setup by the admin team.

  7. It would be good to filter deleted clients like we can for archived clients on XPM custom reports. At the moment they display on the Income Tax report that compares clients with the ATO list and there is no way to filter them out. It makes finding clients who have dropped off the ATO list difficult.

  8. Currently there is no option as was advised by your Support Team. This will help keep most Tax Returns & Activity Statements linked to the correct jobs irrespective of how & when they are created.

It would be really good if when the accounts and corporation tax return have been sent out for digital signature to a client that there was a send receipt with a date and time stamp to show its been sent to the client with details of what email address it was sent to. When sending out lots of requests over various different clients it is easy to forget if you have sent the signature requests out.

  10. From what I understand is common in a lot of firms is when a client leaves/dies/etc their client profile is archived in XPM and the data persists into infinity.

    Given the latest high profile data breaches is would be good if XPM had a Housekeeping module where firms could identify archived clients where the attached Personally Identifiable Information (In particular TFN, Bank account, phone/mobile and addresses) is no longer needed and permanently remove it in a structured process.

    A similar process may need to be created for the forms that we generate from XPM so they they are permanently removed…

  11. Reporting on XPM - I need to run a report from XPM that shows me ALL our clients who haven't had a job booked in yet showing the name "2023" so I can then chase them for checklists.

    I can't see how to run a report that shows this. I really don't want to have to run multiple reports and compare things off - with over 1200 clients this takes an awful long time.

    There has to be a simpler way.

  12. Need seperate accountants report options for Ltd Company and Sole Trader
    Currently only have this for Company accounts and if you edit it to be suitable for a Sole Trader, then it is not suitable for a Company.
    Need to be able to choose between two options

    Hi team, we're grateful for your engagement and letting us know the changes that matter to you.

    While we don't have immediate plans for enabling the ability to produce a computation for the current tax year, we're keen to continue gathering support and understand the interest from the community in this idea. We'll let you know if there are any updates around this, here.

  17. Is it possible to get the total of the VAT due/refund on the VAT report in Xero for a period. Currently one have to do a calculation to see the VAT due/refund. Or have to generate the VAT201 report to see the amount due.
    Ideal one would like to see the VAT due outomatically calculated as well as die balance of the VAT control account on one report. See attachement for an example.

  19. If you currently want to edit a line on the to do list you have to create a new line and enter the data, than delete the previous item.
    It would be great if we could have an edit function on the to do list so we did have to add the extra step of recreation

  20. Can job custom fields please be added to recurring jobs? We have set up fields for required information, but becomes pointless if they can't be added to recurring jobs as well. Will also save staff a bunch of time if they can add the info when setting up the recurring job, rather than looking for the information at a later time.
