Hubdoc - Improve performance when generating lines with tax
1.Hubdoc can become very slow and mostly crashes when inputting the contact in the destination section.
Hubdoc also slows when you use 'extracted tax rate' and 'generate line items' the box that comes up to input the data takes a while and then trying to scroll on the document with this box Infront it takes a while too
I find that the when i generate line items I need to manually amend the tax rate on each line as its over calculated it by a few pennies and i am unable to do this

Contacts - Export and import all contact fields
Our contact cards are set up automatically through an API directly from our billing systems (we have multiple systems that are all coded differently). Fields like currency and branding are not updated with this link; therefore, the fields default to our Xero account settings. We want to export the contact card list with these fields to identify the clients with information that needs updating, to then fix and import in one step instead of updating each card.

Hubdoc - Sort documents by file name
HUBDOC Sorting Alphabetical Feature needed PLEASE. Wishing to request an extra sort option under the "Sort by" button above the "Processing", "Review", "Failed", "Archived" tabs. Currently we have "Upload Date", "Bill Date", "Due Date" & "Amount" options. We create a statements folder for each month and when we're trying to check off the statements with whats in Xero report that is sorted by alphabetical order it would be practical. Contacts - Ability to set a default email template
So we have set up and had a lot of success with email templates in Xero. it would be useful to have the ability to have a default option for each contact (or group of contacts) a specific template for a specific reason eg new invoice or AR. so that everytime we go to email an invoice for example it preloads on a certain template.
Eg we have a number of clients that only speak read German and/or french so it would be nice to be able to set these contacts to default to use our German and/or French templates…

Contacts - Option to exclude contacts from marketing notification
it would be great if there was a tick box for being to select if a contact wants to be excluded from marketing contact. if there was a tick box, it would be handy to be able to generate a report showing those who you can contact and those who have opted out, and being able to export that data to excel. i know xero is a finance platform rather then a direct crm however it just seems that for small businesses especially this would be a great tool and as xero does generate reports and exports to excel anyway…

Hubdoc - differentiate credit notes from bills on auto-sync
Currently if you are using auto-sync hubdoc will only allow either purchases or credit notes from suppliers, but not both. If auto-sync is set to purchases then credit notes uploaded are posted as bills, and vice-versa.
Particularly for high volume customers it would be useful if Hubdoc could differentiate between them and post them appropriately on auto-sync.

HubDoc - View more characters in left hand column
HubDoc is a great app but it is frustrating to use in the browser version as the left hand column doesn't display enough characters and the user cannot drag-to-expand the column width.
So to let us see the entire 'Tags' description please enable expand this column.

Hubdoc - Extract all line item details including inventory items
Extract not only basic information like dates, names, etc., but also line items for less manual entry or having to find outside apps to do it.

We see how extracting more detail could help cut down manual data entry, and it's worth highlighting that since this idea was started we've added a few enhancements that may have solved the needs for some in this idea;
- Upload in Bills - you can now drag & drop or upload bills directly to your Xero organisation which could save you an extra step not having to publish
- Credit note detection - Hubdoc can now detect when publishing a Credit Note and will get you to review the document
- Improved the accuracy of the supplier

Hubdoc - Automatically enable all currencies
At present you have to enable indvidual currencies in Xero settings to allow a purchase receipt in this currency to go through from Hubdoc. If the currency is not pre-set up in Xero then the default is that that the purchase invoice reverts to GBP which means that you then have to reset the currency in Xero. If all currencies were automatically enable for Premium subscriptions this would be avoided and would not rely on each individual currency being manually added to Xero.

Contacts - Add fields for Primary/Secondary/Other contacts

Thanks Grace - it would be great rather than editing and reentering information if there was a field titled "Primary Contact" and Secondary Contact for eg where we could just update that field using a drop-down box as opposed to re-entering customer information. It would definitely save a lot of time. Maybe something to add in the future?

Contacts - Form to request & capture details of a new customer or supplier
I have a client who is wanting to set up a vendor and queried about the ability to send a form to the potential vendor with information required directly from Xero

Contacts - Ability to bulk restore archived contacts
I have 4000 archived contacts that I need to restore. Doing them one by one is ridiculous and will take an eternity. Adding check boxes on the side to select multiple to restore in bulk would be an easy feature to add and benefit greatly.

Files - Ability to have sub files
Files is a great feature to use, to make it even more user-friendly it would be really useful to have a high level folder e.g. for the current FY, with the info sitting in sub-folders under it. that way you hold multiple years worth of info there, keeping it well-organised, easy to find and manageable.

Files - Add a Search option
It would be great if we could search in the files that are attached in the file library. Sometimes you need to find something that was attached a long time ago or by someone else and if you could enter a keyword search it would save trawling through them page by page.

We often use the quick search feature in Xero, and it is often used just to get the client code for files. It would be incredibly helpful if the client code populated next to the client name in the quick search bar to make it easier to see

Hubdoc - Auto add new suppliers when publishing documents to Xero
For new suppliers in Hubdoc, the supplier transaction in Hubdoc at the top should continue into the Xero configuration - if it is in the Hubdoc transaction section it should continue to the bottom section in the xero configuration rather than having to enter it as a new supplier in the Xero section. Also it would be easier if xero was just to add the new supplier automatically rather than having to select add new contact every time.

Contacts - Ability to pin a note on contact profile
To be able to 'pin' a note t the top of the client profile to see a note clearly.
This note will continue to stay at the top of their activity to view easily.

Right now, as you may be aware there is a Notes field (separate to the Files & Notes on a contact s record). This is within the Contact Information section when adding or editing contact details.
Information you enter here will be shown on the Contact main page to the right side of the screen and can be edited as needed
Being open we don't have plans for enabling the ability to pin a note on a contact at present but will continue to track the interest in this through the community. Thanks
